I agree entirely that the anonymity of the internet only brings out this aspect, but it does not mean that we have to idle and be silent at the "damn game." If a person feels uncomfortable with or does not enjoy the subject matter then they should voice their opinion. I personally do not find this at all funny, and would generally refrain from playing it. That is just me, though.

Yea, I definitely agree on the fuckerage with each post. It seems that people aren't capable of looking at these things right without generating emo feelings about it. Regardless of what's been said, it proves my point and...quite honestly...I don't see a real reason why this should be open. I mean if we're here to talk about death and suffering over a video game, do yourselves a favor and play something with an MA rating. I mean I'm going through a round of Metal Gear Solid 3 myself and it's not nearly as depressing as some of the stuff I've already read in this thread. It borders on pathetic.

EDIT: To be fair, if you guys want to talk about violence in video games to begin with and start a debate over it...do it IN the Debate forum. I'd rather keep such clutter contained in that closet if threads like these are absolutely necessary. I browse this forum mainly for fun, not discomfort.

Why not? Let us reopen this.

First off, let me address a few points:

1. Condenscending post that is whiny and bitchy about people being whiny and bitchy? lollerskatesz
2. Rating systems are inherently stupid. This was an indie game and your "not so depressing" or whatever that means game is not on the same scale. Remember, please, to frame arguments in their proper place.
3. Another put-down in a post urging people to "grow up" followed by an immature self-declaration of what you would prefer and giving a perfectly legitimate, if not slightly derailed, thread the boot to a "closet"

So, basically this thread has a few points I would wish to make. First off, the game was designed to basically be a troll of epic proportions. It is failing at that because it lacks the originality of some "shock games" like SCMRPG or whatever that was. It had a point, this game does not really illustrate anything. It is just a poorly constructed sim with very bad taste.

Secondly, it needs to be said that just because you are discomforted with a thread and its content that does not mean that it should be moved to a forum where it is vastly irrelevant to the topics being discussed there. However, since this thread was unfairly relegated to the wrong part of the board I suppose that is something that can be addressed.

Also, Too Long by Daft Punk off of Discovery is a great song. And Aroma is a great coffee bar.

Last view: 5938 days 		Yeah, Tiberian Sun is designed to wait until the Mammoth MK.II or the Cyborg come out with the other big units and then big mega-wars. It is fun. The expansions made the defensive aspect even better. Mind you, I am a healthy medium between rush tactics and big army tactics. I build a strong defensive force that can counter my enemies. You attack me, then I'll be right on you. That is an old Starcraft dinger I learned. That's why I always played Terran. You attack me, 9 times out of 10 my forces were big enough to retaliate.
