I've got the first two seasons on DVD somewhere in the apartment. But really, I haven't seen enough to get into it. |

Posted by TheLesserBlackDope6xPosted by Ziff 1. I really could care less what people think. Given that 9 times out of 10 majority concensus amongst non-specialists and people on the internet ends up doing nothing and being wrong. Given that this is the latter category (with more than a healthy dosage of the former) I would say that you might just as well respond to everything that anyone ever says to you with "i herd u liek mudkips", because I cannot peg you for being much more socially capable. 2. Unfair? Honestly, bullying in high school is lame. It happens, you walk away from it. Kicking someone in the yambag is not unfair, per se. It is just something that weird little anti-social weasels do. When things are about to get physical most people just walk off, take the chants and save some face. Kicking someone in the ol' sack of quail eggs is something that will have you remember throughout the annals of your high school's history as "that douchebag that kicked that guy in the nuts". People will not remember the justification. But then again, I have already established that you seem to lack any sort of normal social interaction capability and you clearly do not care about working within the confines of what is acceptable behaviour. edit:: Anyways, I am really not sure why I bothered posting that. You have made your choice and any negative perceptions that get put alongside it will follow you for the rest of your life and will be difficult to overcome. SPAKOONI NOCHYE! |

There is a difference between a fight (as in a physical altercation witth the potential for injury) and a debate on an internet message board. |

You're calling me immature and then going off and writing posts that are verbatim insults...I don't claim to be mature, but I hardly think that Prometheus is able to talk with the vultures' pecking. |

setz, that is a pretty weak argument against not knowing about German politics. It is best to know as much as you can about politics anywhere in the world so that you know what your interests are in any given foreign policy adventure that the government chooses. I don't actually use too many products from, say, Armenia. I do all I can to understand opposition forces in the country, understand current geopolitical currents, etc. going on with the country.
Additionally, there was a book released a few years ago called "The Benevolent Dictatorship". It was an interesting read and took a look at the reign of Jean Chretien as Canada's Prime Minister. It took an indepth look at his choices in office (he was into delegation of duties) and the choices of previous Prime Ministers like Mulrooney, Trudeau, Turner, etc. It came to the conclusion that a Prime Minister that knows how to balance delegation of certain portfolio duties and centralization of power is effectively the most powerful leader in the Western world, when that PM has a majority government. A Canadian Prime Minister does not have to hold a vote to declare war, a Prime Minister has complete control over various aspects of the democratic process. The latter point is very important. The caucus of the majority party is completely under control of the Prime Minister, he can order gags and basically force his benchers (back or front) to vote along with whatever legislation he wants. Again, the Prime Minister (as leader of the party in power) also has complete control over party machinery. It is slightly scary, when you think of it. The Canadian Prime Minister has less checks and balances on their power than the President of the United States or France, and leaps and bounds of less control factors than say chancellor of Germany. Mind you, the Canadian Prime Minister is a surprisingly influential character around the world. When the Canadian Prime Minister says something that is considered important it is usually heeded around the world, mostly because Canada is the Americans' closest historical ally and can be seen as a bit of a thermometre on certain aspects of world policy (particularly energy). Anyways, the world is full of people who just don't care about knowledge or simply haven't been educated properly. There is nothing you can do about it, however the United States has consistently put out the image of the all powerful empire of transportation and knowledge. To people who are on the outside looking in on the culture of the United States of America it is a good form of comedy. I can never understand why people get so sensitive about a one-sided interview meant for humour and not a serious sociological study with major control biases. |

I saw it! The split decision was amazing. The fight had tension you could cut with a knife. Additionally, there were some stellar rounds and some really good punches. Mayweather is just hellishly fast - there is nothing you can do to hit him. I really liked his march to the ring. I thought it was a little too much to wear the sombrero and the Mexican colours, but the fiddy intro was good. Mind you, I have to agree with Floyd, Sr. on the fight. De La Hoya won in so many ways, namely in how he was humble at the end of the fight (like he always is) and Mayweather (with one point over his opponent!) was speaking too much shit. |

Posted by setzPosted by Ziff 1. That is called a failure of the person. You're debasing yourself by just cutting yourself off. It is a cheap way to escape being accountable for your own choices in a democracy. 2. Way to blow a point away. That is too specific to matter, but anyone should know what bills are being put forward in the legislative bodies of their region. It is very, very important. Again, avoiding the reality of knowing just a trickle of whats going on in your own country and abroad is just causing you to lose your power within a democracy. The guy with the money may get elected, but you're the one who in part chooses who gets into office. 3. You kind of missed the point there. If I had wanted to talk about linguistic biases then I woul have. I brought up the fact that it was not a serious study and was an exercise in humour. |

Shitty. Fergie, I mean. The other music in this thread is quite good. Fergie is a steaming pile of awful music.
John Prine is suggestable. Particularly everything he has ever done. The lack of Neil Young dissapoints me, as does the lack of suggesting Dinosaur Jr. Their new album "The Beyond" is fucking awesome and should be manditory listening for non-terrorists. |

I know Avro Part! I lived with an Irish dude for a while that totally dug them.
Also, where is the Frank Zappa? My suggestion for an awesome album that you'll never find outside Canada is Mr. Plow "It's Plow or Never" |

I was chopping Ridicio at work. The girl I work with started yelling something at me. Knife slipped, lost the end of my thumb. It really sucks. It is oddly flat at the end.
I also lost some of my hair after the BBQ at work exploded. My right eye doesn't have lashes anymore. I also have a burn on my inner leg from where the pot I was carrying had a handle fall off. Ouch. |
