No.

AcmlmBoards are supposed to be easy to register on.

If we started implementing retarded restrictions less proper people would register.

I think an extra hidden field you fill text in will work for the bots (not the human spammers) since the bots will fill the box with things while humans won't see it, that way blocking registrations.

Can you show legitimate proof of that, if not I think it would be best if the registration form and security be redesigned.
If you like you can google ocremix and go onto their website register and see how that works.
Now if you don't like taking the time to read, fill in whatever site asks you to and follow directions they give you to post or be active on a board.

Maybe you don't need to post at all, I've seen how board registration works over the years.
The method I mentioned does work and would kill 2 birds with 1 stone human spammers and bots.

Human spammers would realise it doesn't work when fake emails are blocked, and then sign up for a proper service like AOL or Yahoo.

About that - I mean, this board has no reason to force email. The only reason to use it is if you want to make it public in your profile.

The problem with account activation is that there will be a ton of real users that never post because they can't activate. Also there would have to be drastic code changes to the software to achieve the activation to fully work.

Perhaps instead of email activation, you have to send a private message to an administrator. Since the only spammers that seem to use PMs are kitchen spammers who figure that they can't post yet, but they never say anything else except their shite-arsed kitchens.

That wont work, and this is why activation by email would be a better way of handling that.
They don't activate their accounts within 24 hours which is plenty of time.
Their registration will fail be deleted by the system or admin and have to do it over.
That and blackhole could keep a better record of who is registering.
Gives him more flexibility to do whatever actions needs to be done

Nothing hard about taking the time to register get activated and be well on your way to posting.
Even metroidconstruction has something simliar to what I'm talking about and I was up and going within 5 minutes.

I'll leave it at that, I don't feel like talking to you about it or anything else.

What's the best SMB3 Hacking Tool you can find? I mean for level design of course.

All you replied was a hyperlink. I read it, as is clear by me saying 'WHICH level editor?'.

There were a few there, obviously one is going to be better than the others, isn't that right?

I needed your opinion and the board's opinion.

If you would stop going off the deep end for a minute or hour and click on that link. :/
You would have realized the level editor you needed was in it and that is what I've used.
It even had the necessary info for beginner smb hackers like you.

If you don't like this answer, contact ninja blooper and have him review the link and these posts. :|

For some reason it doesn't want to extend to link.
I chose to use BIT.LY to shorten it!
Tested the link and it should direct you to the download!

I meant to reply this morning and said I found it but oh well.
You should look into mediafire for hosting your links.

https://sites.google.com/site/insectduel/insectduel-s-remodeling-projects/SMB3SMAS%20-%20ISD%20Secret%20Levels.zip?attredirects=0

By the way your not Dr. albert wily in disguise are you ? o0
I played your game last night, I like it and all but your designs remind me of googies hacks.
If you do update this make a world hack demo out of it with a custom ending.
Lastly about the big coin blocks, don't know whats up, but when its empty, when scrolling to the right or left.

There it keeps disappearing and reappearing or leaves a chunk of itself on the screen.
I'll upload my recording and let you see it privately through youtube.

Good work though.

Hmm well I enjoyed the demo, please continue to finish it.
I would like to see the final version of it, if you haven't informed kp9000.
I'm sure he would "DIE" laughing in his chair, since he is a smb3 fan.

Alright, thanks to blackhole89, I am back on here! Yeye!

Anyway, I have a question about Mega Man 2. Would anyone know by chance where its Music data starts and ends? Also does anybody know of any dos NES ROM disassemblers I can use? Thanks in advance!

http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/500/

http://www.fceux.com/web/home.html

For the dissambly part, that would be your best bet.

http://acmlm.kafuka.org/board/profile.php?id=491
Ask him about the music locations for mega man 2.
I believe he doumented that 1 or 2 years ago, but check his posts to see what he says about it.

I don't know why you would need dos for a disassembler, but this may do.

Also them if they might know of something.

Maybe a dumb question but what os are you using that you need dosbox ?
Hack looks good, however for the second screen, I suggest you add a metal border around the boss mug shot pics.
Having no border or tile around it makes it look ackward or goofy looking.

If you like, locate the mega man v gameboy rom and look at the tiles in yy-chr.
Half of it you could resource into your hack, to make it stand out more.

This brings some memorys though, I remember board 2 was coming on the scene in late 2006.
When that board 1 and board 2 mess started up and arbe was acting like a lunatic.
I decided not to post here for a long time, also the first incarnation I was at back in 2004.
For some reason I lost my password and forgot about the place.

So yeah +1 to curly, everyone started from somewhere out of those 3 incarnations.
All that remains is the current "acmlm", I wanted emuz to change it to acmlm because it would suit it perfectly. :/

Well, since my only PC system is crap, I am using a Kyocera Hydro LIFE android phone.
Oh yeah, the borders. Of course I'll have to edit those to "flow" with my own bars. I'll check out the Megaman GBC Roms.

Well I can see why you would be moving it along on some thing like that.
I'll slide this beside you and let it talk you into buying one.
Less than 50.00 bucks, hdd, cord would be less than 40.00 total depending on the seller on ebay or amazon.com.

Think about it for abit.

OK, I understand this.

I came to it originally because of SMW Central shit in the forum games, my banning off a tonne of boards (due to general idiocy) and things like that.

However I might as well stay again, because there's a spark in board2 that makes me return here. If I get banned from a site you might tell if I am bothered with it because I flood a load of accounts, or I rereg legitimately, like here.

In fact, I did rereg here before, but forgot the password and proxy.

Your above statements would be enough to get your tossed out of here permanently.
Lucky for you, one of the admins is abit more "lenient" and willing to over look it some minor problems.
However though I won't let you destroy this board, fuck up the board or ruin it.
Just like what Curly mentioned near the end of his post.
I suggest you personally drop your habits you developed over time.
Otherwise you will catch hell everywhere you go and you will be the one receiving what you dish out on others.

I'm known moron who never changes or learns from anything.

Come prove it then, I'm betting on your account here that you won't given what I've seen. :/
The only way I'll see if you've changed is how you handle issues and people.
Sometimes groups, forums or people don't work out in the long run.
Flip them a bird, shake the dust off your shoes and find something better and leave them alone.

We'll end this conversation right now, get on with your day and have a nice school week.

hey, could somebody help me out with inserting music into mega man 2? The music is from MMLShare (I will give credit and I have links) and I have honestly tried, but I really can't. you'll be given full credit foe inderting, I just want the music, even as an ips patch.

I can provide links if anyone can help me.

The only person capable of doing that without fail is infildelt.

So, here's my first attempt at editing Mega Man's sprite, I tried to make his body look like Samus Aran's armor. Personally, I'm not that great at pixel art, but does it look good?

I might not be doing ROM hacking stuff for a couple of days, though. Minecraft: Pocket Edition just came out, so I'm probably gonna be playing that.

If you want to put power mega man in your hack, use the original body frame, not unless your limited.

View this image here, change his waste band to black also you know gemini mans color ?

Mega man would suit that perfectly, otherwise use blue and keep torso and legs white.

Mega Man trying to look like samus, would be ackward and unsettling.

Keep working on it and be sure to test him, don't want the poor robot to get stuck in a tight crevice.

I think that Power Mega Man would be cool in a hack, but that's not what I'm going for (at least right now). I'm gonna use sprite layering to make Mega Man's/Samus's helmet red with a green visor. I'm just keeping Mega Man's face intact for a bit while I work on the body . I might also try to make it so that Samus's arm cannon is visible even when she's standing still. Thank you for helping though

If your that keen on doing that, then view this here:

If you can locate a sprite sheet like this in .bmp or .png format, I'll convert it over to 8bit format and host it back up in a week.
