Played some Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell...

Just played and mastered sonic mega mix v3.0, also since sonic 1 was the base of it.
I mastered sonic 1 as well for the first time, wonder if they'll ever improve that demo so damn nice.

I played your hack, to be honest with you about it.
I don't find this interesting, nor is their a story line behind it.
A few altered stages and some of them is pointless if mega man runs ouf of energy before reaching a platform ?
Also I expected you to atleast give your hack a little palette change and face lift.
I suggest you work on it some more, if you intend for this to be a hard mode.
Check RHDN soon some of the people over there aren't really for your hack so please put some more work into it.

Also with the gfx you can see with yy-chr it wouldn't be hard to give your mega man 1 hero some more flavor.

Look into mega man 4 and mega man 5 for gameboy.
Good luck man.

Finally mastered WereWolf the last warrior (aka) WarWolf Japanese yesterday morning.
Took one month as the difficulty is abit higher than the nes version.
Playing Final Fantasy Legend 2 and Blaster Master boy for gameboy.
Hopefully I should be able to officialy master both of them by the second week of july.

If there alot of enemies and obects in that stage, I could see why rock's frame would disapear.
If it bothers you that much why not open the rom with a editor and take out some enemies.
If the game play is better in that stage, thats where your issue is.

@Mike | None of that stuff is related to this 'bug'. It's only because Drillman needs an appear behind ground thingy, so it uses that thingy I mentioned.

Oh ok then I had only thought of that because realize drill man and dustman stage has abit of slowdown with some of the stuff capcom crams into it.

I'll let you continue on with it. :/

You should use dolphin and play sonic hero's on the gamecube.
Emuparadise might have it also if your computer is quick enough shouldn't be hard within a month to master.
On a side note check sonic retro and play their sonic mega mix.
It maybe glitchy in some of their demo's but over all just badass, especially for a sega cd hack.

No prob yeah sonic hacks do exist its even better than smw hacks at most.
Use Gens+ for normal sonic hacks not unless checksum is jacked up.
Kega for sonic megamix and other sega cd hacks found on the net
Use a sega cd bios (usa/jpn) shouldn't be hard to locate.

Why the heck not though, yes it is the original at most will a few adjustments that make a hard mode go wrong.
(ice man's stage is a good example of that)
Hard mode to me means harder AI, a different way of mountain hiking to the boss. :/
Personally though I like to see him give his hack a little bit more pep.
I'm glad he listened and I'm willing to try it again if he releases it again.
Doesn't need a whole new over-haul, but something thats states him well as a hacker.

The story goes like this Golmonger "the villain" got defeated by Googie and his pals for the last time, so he opens up a portal to another dimension and sees it fit to take over. So Googie, Joel, Roger & Chris goes in Subcon and stop Golmonger and his homies.

All the player sprites are done & all the boss sprites are done! All that needs to be done are the rest of the enemies and the ending, pacnsacdave is gonna replace Mario and put the cartoon version of me at the end.

I was busy these last two months but I'll be free this summer, if I can hack a level a day this hack can be finished quick, I'll be using the SMB2 editor SMB2 Trans.

Well, enough of me running my mouth here's the screenies...
The title screen...

I replaced Mario...

Joel replaced Luigi...

Roger replaced Toad...

Chris replaced Peach...

Here's the new enemies, their names are on my Instagram

This guy replaced Snifit...

This guy replaced Panser...

This guy replaced Ninji...

This guy replaced Shyguy...

This guy replaced Tweeter...

And this girl replaced Hoopstar...

When I these toe jam and earl comes to mind, play that while you finish your hack.
I have a feeling your might shock everyone, also give your title layer characters a black or grey border.
That way it won't feel too retro like, good luck man.

Good news is... I will soon complete all the RM levels.
Bad news is... I will rush the level designs... Seriously, even an MM3 ROM is too limited for me... I cannot make what I really want. But that's maybe because I want to make things too detailed now.
Music... I dunno... I don't think I will do it... I don't think I can hack the music.

Completed stages (in customised editor order) And once again, the levels gain names.

Hard Man (Volcanic Base - Section 1)
Gemini Man (Space Colony - Section A)
Needle Man (Wily Water Works™ - Plant A)
Snake Man (Deep Forest - Zone 1)
Hard Man RE (Volcanic Base - Section 2)
Wily 1 (???)
Wily 4 (Wily Teleport System)
Wily 5 (Wily Machine 3)

81%-99%
Snake Man RE (Deep Forest - Zone 2)

51%-80%
Magnet Man (Magnetism Research Lab)
Gemini Man (Space Colony - Section B)

0-50%:
Shadow Man (Mechanic Castle)
Spark Man (???)
Wily 2 (???)
Wily 3 (???)

Not even started yet:
Top Man (Toy Factory???)
Needle Man (Wily Water Works™ - Plant B)

???:
Wily 6 (???)

And the game is still only uses MM3I2.0...
Well, that's all. For now. I'll finish the remaining levels in a month. Then I don't know what will I do...

I played your demo its very good from what I've played but why don't you focus on completing the levels mainly the ones that are incomplete ?
Also quit worrying about the custom music part so much if you want it nearing the completion of your hack.
Querey infidelt and see if he will make and insert the custom music for you ?
The only thing with that is compensate the man 15-25 dollars in paypal.
Also while playing your demo on my dstwo the title screen intro images aren't there.
NESDS 1.3b is what I'm using currently, also for shadow mans stage.
Don't make the palette look gothic like, green flames in a blue metallic like stage with his ninjitsu skills ? no.....
Also for the snake man level tone down the woods palette color.
Looks abit much like kirby's, also for that sky make it a dark blue night color.

If you would like for me to test it pm and I'll beta test it to make sure the kinks and glitches are out or needed tinkering.

Well given all that you said I still like it you gave me and us more then we bargan for.
About the snake man sky color if you do a sunset orange that would indeed look good.
It would kind of make me reminisce of neon tigers stage from MMX3.

Take your time and work on it I'll still privately test it if your up for it later on.

Good luck with it.

Thanks for the love, guys!

I really wish there was a bugless SMB2 editor, SMB2Trans is the closest to it. The levels for world one is in my head so that's not a problem, as I get into the other world I'll start jotting 'em down on paper.

Hmm I think most people agree on that I wish someone would pickup the program and reupdate the coding.
If someone would do it I would pick up the smb2 I left dry on my hard drive. :|

In light of Megaman Legacy Collection, and Megaman X: Age of Wily (which I noticed uses my Megaman Upgrade Patch as base), I have decided to do a new Megaman 1 hack.

Megaman DX, which was supposed to be a proof-of-concept hack of Megaman 3, was cancelled a long time ago. I have instead decided to call my new Megaman 1 hack Megaman DX.

The goal of Megaman DX is to improve the visual quality of Megaman 1, plus adding new things such as a save feature, and remixed/brand new levels, and the possibility of extending stages for Gutsman and Wily stage 3 (two stages in Megaman 1 I thought were too short). I also want to make Metools and Sniper Joes more common, and balance some things out (such as weapon strength).

Brand new titlescreen:

Much better than my old DX screen for MM3:

Try not to take this wrong way but your old "DX" looks better than the current one you have.
Reason why it has more of a MMX nostologia to it, check out the mega man x title screen.
Look at your old one, see how those to look good the new one you have currently ?

I have to disagree. The new one matches the aesthetics of the original US logo much better in both form and palette. Plus the nostalgia for MMX would be pretty misplaced in a game that has nothing to do with the MMX era.

Reason why I disagree his newer image looks like the title screen from mega man 5.
Also no it doesn't the original mm3 logo with that make its look ackward and too bright.
Whatever though long as he's happy then thats all that should matter.

a lot of days have passed and no update of the hack.
that's very strange

Why not go right to him and ask why he hasn't released a new update ?
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdAgNliV6NcHsKJVK35BmiA
I know your keen to play the hack that badly but if hes still having issues while hacking the game.
I could see why he would put it on hold or call it quits till he fines a way to fix it.
You could ask him for the hack in the current state it is in, don't be upset if things are missing or not finished.

I never could get into the castlevania games, castlevania 4 for the snes is the only one I like most.

Hey infidelity are u still working on megaman evolution?(if u say yes i'm always patient)

Let me ask you something important, scroll up to the top of thread, next read the dates and look at each one below it.
Why are you bumping up a "4" year old thread ?
If you wanted to know if he still working on the project, why not send a him a message ?
You could even mail him on youtube and see what he says. :/

Please man don't bump the old threads, not unless its the author updating any information.

Maybe so but you got to look at it from his point of view and look at his track record of rom hacking and many others.
Infildelt and many other close comrads of mine comes to mind after seing puzzledude message, but even after taking some grief and hell.
Infildelt still hacks which is a good thing but not to frequently as he use to do.
I don't mind waiting for the hack, as most people have a life to contend with every second.

@puzzle I don't know what made you post that but whatever is on your mind about rom hacking.
Either drop rom hacking temporarily or permanently, sounds like you got problems thats pissing you off.
Besides that I like to see what you do next besides zelda 3 hacking.
The last hack you issued out was good, if you really don't mind, mail me the rom privately.
That patcher you included makes me ill and I rather use lunar ips or download the rom privately without needing to patch it myself.

Shit, I thought that infidelity was picking this hack up!

From what I remember he cancelled this hack, so I wouldn't wait if I were you.

Yeah antonio had my number there for a minute, besides that I never even saw this video.
I hope infildelt will pick it up again and work on it, still haven't beat his old hack.
Is their a nes emulator I can use with fraps, everytime I use fceux recording feature things get out of sync with .avi compression.

Frustates the heck out of me when I can't record for 2 hours and have the end result all jacked up.

I think VirtuaNES might be your best bet, Mikey. Give it a shot, I use to use it back in the day.

FCEUX is giving you problems, I never had a problem with recording with it. When I record with FCEUX I always use Xvid-MPEG4 Codec, give that a try it should be no problem.

Actually nestopia worked out, that way I can record and stop and make segments.
Also yeah the xvid-mepg4 codec works, its just for some off the wall reason things get jacked up.
I'll be able to upload some full time nes plays for youtube.
