hi, I'm having a small problem between these programs.
Has anyone used spc2midi ? I have used its pretty good at what it does, however though I need to reorganize the channels an instruments to where it will sound alot better. I have been using sonar 4 for abou 2 1/2 years and it always gets the job done, however when I import the midi generated by spc2midi it says it can read the file and it will close the file or crash sonar 4-6. I have tried a trial of cubasis XS Trial version and it opened it up just fine but cannot load the channels or instrument panel for the midi.... if anybody has ever had this problem and has a solution or know whats wrong please let me know. This just buggin the living daylights out of me!

Sorry if I put this in the wrong forum but I didn't know where else to put it...

Well I guess I'll have to do it the very hard way using spc2midi's instrument set up..... I really did have high hopes for this program... I was going to do a lot of remixes with the spc's I had and eventually use 3 of them in a hack...

Thanks mikeyk for the translated tool now I can sort of figure out what went wrong. my only error that I have is it says the music interval is to low. I'm guessing the other song's are like that as well does someone know how I need to correct this ?

thanks,
MadMikeXP

Thanks BH for the info but I found a solution that is half way working... I talked to the athuor about spc2midi he said to use noteworthy composer to open up the custom midi and save it again. I did that and sonar 4 can finally see the midi but the the whole song has a reapeating skipping sound through out the midi. I don't know which option in noteworthy can fix the problem. if you know of way to fix it please let me know.

Part 2 of the problem...

Ok I'm noticing a problem how Noteworthy is workin with converted and non converted midi....

I just played a midi from vgmusic.com in Noteworthy on importing the midi it has changed how some notes play properly.... which makes it studder through out the song, if someone has used this program before is there a option in noteworthy to not make the midi studder or shake around like that ?

sorry about the questions and all.

1. Recopy the files that are on another XP CD that you have onto your custom xp slipstream CD.... reburn that CD again with all of other files from your xp cd and try it again...

2.Next Try a book disk and copy those files onto it.

I fixed my problem permanently Black hole...
When I imported the midi to NWC and save it again I resent that modified midi to sonar 4 the 2 main problems was that the tempo was slow and I increased it to its right speed, also that ticking noise had to do with the drum instrument, currently I'm looking at the instruments to figure out which drum will cooperate with that ticking drum channel.

thanks for your help though.

Is it possible that I can use birdo to be ridable and used by mario to replace yoshi ? I set up birdo's GFX into yoshi's gfx spot the only thing is the head is off the body about 2 to 3 inches. Is their hex offet I can use to fix this problem ? I have a custom birdo in my hack from shyguy kingdom but doesn't suit my hack so well.

Thanks for any help.

check to see if the aux, video or Line in sound is muted in windows xp ? I think your problem may rely there also make sure of whatever codec uitility or suite has a sound option for you to turn on or up.

Looks fun! Glad to see you making some levels that fly beyond the n00bish stuff you used to crank out in your first few hacks. Nice use of Layer 2 Did you use ASM to make Layer 3 tides act like lava, or does the rapid smash effect make it seem like the lava scrolls up the screen with you? If it's a glitch, please fix it if you can!

Reminds me a little of Lead Egg Castle from Joshua's Treasure Hunt hack. Is that the level you had in mind? [99% sure it's not]

That custom song is AWESOME, even if it sounds a bit...circus-ish I know I've heard it before...is it game music or some real song with a name?

Keep it up!

what are you man crazy.... ? that music is from tetris 1 from the NES and Gamboy games. Anyone can guess what that was.

I think it sounds quite good! what music format are using ? if your using midi I would suggest that you replace the sawtooth instrument with something a little different... when its in there it makes the song sound like a late old 1980's NES video game music... I would suggest you put in something like a halo or metallic instrument can't think of one right now, but give it a metallic feeling to it.

Also if that indeed is a midi use total recorder 5.5 to save as a mp3 or wav and use your sound cards software to give it a little distance echo effect.

Its look good, but maybe give the sprite a granny apple color plus inside the mouth you should probably make the tounge just a little bit more red that should do it.

I've been working on animations during the past 2 days they came out good had to get all the details right...

Let me know what you think I have 2 more sprites of mega man throwing ninja stars and the atomic flame.
I plan on doing proto mans weapons animation next along with his special move.

I know they are a little slow, but if I increase the speed to much it will look like garbage.

I've been working on these for a week, the Ice board has the zip file over there as a rank set. They needed a updated rank set and maybe acmlm 2 can use these if they want to.

enjoy them!

You asked, so here it is... 2 parititons below the C: drive both have home business videos and local files the rest are paid for: meaning 70% of programs are already paid off....
