About Legend of Zelda a link to the past, would anyone happen to have a list of the instruments the game uses ?
From what I can hear correctly there is a low snare drum, drum snare, trumpet harpischord piano, a orchestra hit based instrument. Its kind of hard not know which instruments I am working with using hyrule magic. Anyone have any documents that might help figure out somethings ? |

Posted by mickevincent I dont think so, his last update was in 2011 of august. If anything he does over time, he may want to bring the program to be compatible with windows2000/vistasp2. Atleast that way Microsoft visual basic 2008 on 7 won't fuss so much when it tries to execute certain parts of the rom while editing the levels and Rock's palette. Still wonderfull to use, better than sonic 2 hacking at most times. |

Posted by DahrkDaiz What in the **** is going on here ?! All this time it was Miss LuLu making all of those epic hacks ? "rambles around inside a black wallet looking for 5 dollars" Hurry up and give me my copy of Mario Adventure 3 already you've had enough time stringing us along! I'll come over to that arcade dance system, turn on "bill holly" watch you dance to it with that wig on your head. |

Posted by DahrkDaiz Was only yanking your chain, yeah I can understand if you need a break from the hacking business. Still though that image, do you some acting or drama club events in your area ? When I have a chance I'll host up my picture shortly. |

Posted by wiiqwertyuiop Hmm, so you guys finally decided to put smas on the front burner again ? I wish you the best of luck with it, if anything I ask don't let smas evolve into something that isnt event reocognizable anymore like super mario world game is currently. |

Posted by KingCheezBurrito You'll hate it even more if you fail to pass a grade or all of your classes in middle school or highschool for that year. Just go to school, learn something new that you haven't yet and don't let it become a problem for you. If you have way too much work for an average student, you need to speak with your parents and school counselor to see what can be eased up abit. Keep your eyes on making it to your junior and senior year, you do that you won't have much to worry about or do off and on during those times. Wait until field day happens in highschool if any, girl watching&chasing if any and pranks all over the place! > Good luck kid. |

Posted by KingCheezBurrito LOL, I'm sorry to say this to you bluntly, but you kids actually don't know anything about real life world problems or concerns until you leave school, drop out or graduate and hits you in the butt when you can't pick up a fast paying job with no education what so ever. If your mother or father ever hears the word I dropped out of school from you, watch yourself be kicked out on the streets or they attempt to put you in some sort of military style bootcamp. Have a read over your thread again and listen to the people who are trying to give you a helping hand at times. :\ Good luck guy. |

Posted by NightKev I agree with this message and endorsement by DayKevin... Really though, about the spotlight section on the main index, could you have it put out more then just the current hack of the week or month ? Just let it rotate every 6 to 12 hours, it would bring more people in to look inside the rom hackinf forum. |

Posted by DruidVorse If you use a emulator, use a save state when you beat a boss or certain midway level. I kid you not, but don't play NG3 until your quite familiar with NG2 game mechanics. You could try the japanese version which has a better save game system. If I'm right, you should be able to master NG2 within a good solid week. Good reflexes and memory of whats going on this series will help you beat it and make your more better for future games after it. |

Posted by DruidVorse It really depends on what you save states for, I only use them sometimes because if I record myself playing to upload to youtube a few days later I dont want to have replay everything again. That, and thats how some peoples controllers get damaged or constant thumb mashing due to complete frustration of trying to master a game. I won't spill too much for you, but wait until you do NG2 when you start to get midway through the game and you start trying to bring down those bosses under a timeline and limited offhand weaponary. If you can beat a game within a day or lesser isn't really that special. Any game that can kick the shit out of you with good replay value and content is my type of game. When I was growing up my mother told me she wasnt buying me another game until I mastered the one I currently had. : Beat smb1 during the fall of 1990, she bought me dick tracy for the nes. I hated so much, it took me 2 months to beat it because I refused to look towards its way. I beat metroid 1 in a month, with no players guide no game pro to tell me how to get here and do this ? After those 2 titles, it just became natural to me, the nes days were a good thing. I don't know how old you are, but if you have a 3ds, give some of the nes and gb titles a shot. Least nintendo is letting you live the old school days like some of adults did back in our time. |

Has he checked the zsnes version for dos ?
I think the latest one made by that team has a dos mode when working with programs shortcut paths. I really don't understand hacking much, but by working with the snes and visualboy debugger over a few years I was able to locate certain gfx and other nonsense while running a few games. My only problem is I don't know how to edit the data in real time inside the game. I recommend he move on to the snes hacking, if nes hacking felt to natural for him, that should be no problem for him over some time in the next 6 months. |

Posted by infidelity Well it really depends on what your looking my good man. If your looking for say a specific piece of music in the game, disable some bg layers the sprites and see what is currently active while the game is loading or calling on that data to bring it up. Try working with super metroid a little bit and you'll begin to understand what I mean. It's gonna take time, but you'll get use to it, speak with smkdan at smwc. He may be able to point you in that right direction for snes hacking. |

Posted by ninjablooper Yes I do, if your budget is set at 160, why not raise that budget to about 210.0 ? If your dead set on aiming for ATI card, you would be doing yourself a nice favor and 2 for 1 low priced. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113281 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130662 Before you complain it about not having enough power to game well it does. It can do dolphin and metroid prime 2 with a fps fix up very easily. If your not looking for a powerfull cpu to do full work loads that will do you just fine. Yes the ati 6870 is good at times, but why bother with just upgrading one old machine ? If I were you I would make plans on selling your old computer. |

Posted by justin3009 Justin would this help out: http://spriters-resource.com/resources/tut/yychr-snes/ I know it may not be directly what he wants, but it is a great way to get familiar with snes compression and decompress if he ever rips sprite. |

Posted by KDeee If you still have that hack, someone maybe willing to provide assistance to make it work as a demo or full hack. Also when I hack I need inspiration, without it I dont feel like touching jack which is understandable. My advice is play a few games similiar to the ones your hacking, you be amazed of what might come to mind if its doable. @CJ: Also cj, we can make arrangements for a bull dozer to move you off the property when closing down the shop. Thank you for loyalty and willingness to give it all for acmlm. |

Posted by DruidVorse I think one hd 7990 card would be plenty for that kind of setup. With the apu, he would need to keeo any intense work loads off the cpu and let vga card share some of the work load. Worked out best for me, before I gave it away, If he wanted to really cross fire on a good cpu, I recommend he looked into a amd fx quad core or higher end sandy bridge 1155 socket. |

Posted by KingCheezBurrito A whole year you say, you must be trolling too hard or stretching the truth abit. Most parents will keep your stuff for about month to three months depending on the issue. If you did something very bad, yeah I could see it happening this way. Or Your parents throwing your computer against the wall or you wont see one till you move out which is rare in some households. Don't let mom see that dsi, or you won't see it again either. :/ |
