Okay here's my Tumblr page & here's Lucy Liu's page, here's my question...

How did she manage to add her twitter to her Tumblr? I know where to go to get the code on Twitter but I dunno where to put it on Tumblr. Any ideas, advice? Please lemme know, I'd really appreciate it.

Lol, bumping old ask threads. Not complainin' though.

I really don't even do hacking anymore. Basically I just hang out with my roommates in my free time and date this one girl. Other times I'm just working. Not much else going on...

I've been into Stargate lately, and playing Xbox Live Arcade games. Worms 2: Armageddon is my main game right now, only because there are others that are interested.

What brought you into the hacking scene, what was your main drive to begin game creation ?

I noticed you like metroids series to an extent, may I ask which ones were mostly a favorite to you ?

Mine is pretty much metroid zero mission metroid 2 .

Why you ask, most incidents and later on problems started out from sr388.
I feel personally that the metroids from that planet plays a issue and key role in most metroid games.

You'd have to remake them first because it's not possible to just copy from an .nsf
and the capcom sound engine doesn't allow arpeggio or duty envelopes. Heck, I don't even copy from other games that use the same engine because there are ususally lots of useless and space-wasting commands lying around that I don't want to waste my space for.

Also, it's not like famitracker's instruments. You have an ADSR like control for volume, and you can only define vibrato speed and depth and tremolo speed and depth in the instruments themselves. You really just need to use Famitracker to create simple covers you use as a template and to see what notes you need to copy into the music code itself, because it's easier to compose music in a tracker than in a hex editor isn't it?

Don't mind me, but thank you for explaning what you did about fami-tracker.
Makes more sense when I am porting a song, and one of the instruments vibrato is too strong.

Thanks Mike I'll make an account with that site, I've been trying so hard to get my cartoons out there since 2007, and gettin' a show sure ain't easy. ^^

Heh, your drawing is good man, its like looking at the funny pages but in a ghetto style feeling.

Seriously, when I look at it, it feels like there is tiny toon adventures mix into what you draw.

If your seeking a career in kids animation, you may want to seek help from a professional artist who could get you jump started.
You ever tried a little bit of animating ?

Yeah here in the USA its oldman/fathersday, those of you who haven't seen their pops or refuse to talk to them, don't hold that grudge against for ever.
Any dads that may have died, during military service time, you have my sympathy.

Enjoy your day!

Right now I'm searching for the right animation software, there's so many out there I dunno which one to get, any suggestions?. As a matter of fact, people say that my cartoons can be for kids or adults, I almost had a show in 2007 it's just too bad that the writer's strike ruined my chance & the producer backed off.

Hmm, if anything at all, check on ebay and see if someone might be selling paint shop pro 9 with animation shop included.
If I'm right, it should run you between 6.00-20.00 used good condition
I recommend animation from jasc/corel because its easiest to understand for beginners to novoices.

A old site called, www.gsarchives.com improved my animation skills way back in the day of 02.
If your looking for somethig more powerfull for an artist animator I'll see what I can do over the next few days.

Hello, as my name says, I am MegaRevolution1 :3

So, I got bored one night and stumbled upon this place. Today, I remembered while in a bit of desperation to find a better board to post at, and so, I chose this place, Nya~!

Anyways, some info about me... Oh! I'm a huge Sonic franchise fan :3 Some specific favorites of the series being Unleashed, 3 & Knuckles, and Adventure 2.

I also like anime. Some of my favorites include Lucky Star, Clannad, and Gurren Lagann.

Anyways, other than that stuff, I'm just a regular gamer and anime fan who likes posting on forums . Anyways, I'll try to stay active on here as much as I can and try to be a good post contributor, Nya~.

(By the way, I like to say "Nya~" in my posts... If it's a problem at all, I can stop )

Oh, and I don't care much about names, but I'm pretty much mainly called Mega around where I go.

Welcome to the last place on earth, all other places are in ruines so its just us small people on this region, before are end is near. :col:

Well, when I learned you could play old games on the computer, it wasn't long before I learned that I could edit them. It took me a while before I broke down what needed to be done for a hack to be made; graphics, level design, hex editing, finding new data, etc..

Super Metroid is a favorite, followed closely by Metroid Prime series. Mostly MP1. Super Metroid was one of the few games I've ever actually made a full-fledged tileset for, and one of the few games I regularly play still.

Let me ask you something, you remember metroid prime 2D from way back right ?
With the current tools we have, do you think it maybe possible to recreate that ?
The GFX for samus, I have not been able to properly locate it just yet.
What kind of music genre do you prefer, I'm opened minded to any kind of music as long as it doesn't sound like ****.

Hey all, things have seemed pretty slow around here lately so I thought I'd share this to liven things up a bit. This hack has been around for a few years already, but I only heard about it maybe a month or so ago. So I thought I'd share this for those of you who haven't heard of it before.

Note: this hack is not mine. I take credit for absolutely nothing.

This is a hack of the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64.
According to the story, Zelda's birthday is coming up and several of her friends have gotten her presents, only to have them stolen or lost. Link must then go on a journey to find these missing presents and make sure Zelda's special day isn't ruined.

This hack only has 3 dungeons, but they're fairly well done. 1 of the dungeons has been made completely from scratch, so the design is simple. I think the hack creator called this dungeon the "LoZ throwback dungeon" or something because it's similar to an original LoZ dungeon: every room looks the same, but there are different puzzles and enemies in each room and such.
The other two dungeons are familiar, but exits, puzzles, items, and enemies have all been switched around giving the dungeons a whole new feel.

The overworld remains mostly the same, but there are some new puzzles and such that you must figure out to get from place to place.

Talking about the game does no justice, watch the video trailer or play it for yourself!
Hope you all enjoy.

Video trailer:

(note: the textures used in the video are not included in the game patch. You must download them and apply them separately.)

Don't take this the wrong way, but dont you think MM would have worked out better for your game ?
By the video, its look good man, but I think the system event in MM would have helped more, seing that your on a time line.

If MM hacking has not been fully initiated, then excuse my post for it.

Well first of all, this isn't my game at all.

But I can see your point. This might have been more interesting with MM's 3-day time system. Being constrained by a time limit certainly adds a certain level of depth to the game.

However, I don't exactly know how far MM hacking has come along, if anything is happening at all. Heck, until I stumbled upon this hack I didn't even know OoT had any real hacking progress.

Funny, right before I got banned from jul, the hacking community there was making quite a rapid process of hacking the game.
I haven't checked their sub-forum over there lately.

MM should be hackable indeed, if zelda's graphic data is in there, it should be quite doable.
If you remember the full intro in MM, thats a sign that nintendo may have the graphics needed to start a hack like this one.

Just a hunch, but anything is possible with the right hands working on it.

I have noticed some very large signatures and avatars at certain times so I have been thinking about implementing a size restriction in the rules. (I honestly thought we had those but I did not seen any when I looked around just now.)

Thoughts?

Your an admin aren't you, just do what you have to and just implement it into the board ?

Normal size should be about 120x120.
Old members who have been inactive for more than a year with irregular avatar sizes, just back up the images if needed and delete from the profile.
You might want to specify a image size depending .jpd or .png uploading.
If its too big, the board software will automatically deny unril fixed.

Glad to see there are still Zelda 3 hackers active, especially regarding BlackMagic. I have not even attempted HyruleMagic since I've read about how unkind it is to noobs.

I'm just curious if anyone has an opinion on HyruleMagic's sprite editor? I am starting work on a simple gfx hack using zcompress and YY-Chr, which is ok, but it is difficult to edit palettes without screwing up other random gfx. Is there a more efficient way to determine which sprites/tiles share palettes that I haven't learned yet? Or is it all trial and error?

Hmm, have you tried taking a save state from zsnes from zelda 3 and loading it into yy-chr ?

There are some palettes that will shared throughout the rom, on few examples is the ground, grass and some enemies.
From personal experience, the best way to learn is trial and error.
If you don't want to mess up project/files, make a copy of it and just use the other and experienment and mess with stuff.

Hyrule magic isn't that hard to learn at all, if you have used lunar magic for awhile it'll be easy for you to understand.
Now for the room part, thats a different story to tell later on, nightmare in a half really, trying to relink everything back up.

Reading, working, generally killing time until I can move to a place that is more than 15 square feet. It's hard to play DDR, and I miss my art supplies and my cat.

I also have the most bizarre sunburn right now. It's only a few inches near my collarbone I missed with the sunblock, but holy fuck, it is as bad as when I burnt my arm on the grill. Fun fact: I compared my skin with an albino dude I sat next to on the bus and mine was paler. A product of Russian/Irish ancestry no doubt.

I've done some fun things, lots of festivals in the area, went to a safari reserve up north (cheetahs like catnip and sort of meow, how about that) and visited my family.

Otherwise it's just same shit different day, I don't like the heat very much and the part of the city I live in is a shithole.

Your location said "canada", how hot is it over there man ?
I swear I don't know wtf is up with this years weather but over here on south eastern usa most of us have felt midway upper 100's.

I don't know what its like to have sun burn as a white guy, but last time I got burned, when I was about 12-13 years old.
Sitten on the beach all damn day asleep oceanside saint augustine wind and water, pinapple collada without the rum... =^=

Excuse my flashback... but my nose peeled a little.
Nothing to damaging at all and healed within 1 week upon going back to school.

See if this might help you out, if your burn gets to be abit to painfull visit the emergency room clinic at the hospital.
According to the Mayo Clinic, putting ice on a burn can cause frostbite and damage the skin. For better results, try running cool water over the area and taking a pain reliever. Then cover the area with gauze but no ointment. Most minor burns heal without further treatment, the clinic says.

Nice man, by looking at your video, have you ever thought about making a mini game out of this ?
With the octoroks and some other enemie, it could be a miniture pac man type feel.
Just an idea I thought you may like if you do a sample hack later on this year.
