Out of curiosity, what is special about 750000?

By the way, are you planing on hacking every level? Will your hack have the same amount of levels as the original?

Pretty much. Every level in the game including the extra levels will be completely different by the time I'm finished with it. However, there will still be 54 levels just like the original game.

Quizzes from Tickle.com are frowned upon here. This has been posted quite a lot in the past.

Oh well, here's my IQ.

To be honest, I started to put random answers about halfway because I was getting bored with the quiz.

There is a lack of SMB Utility in that list. Seriously, that is the best SMB editor out there.

Also, SMB2 Level Discombobulator can be found on Romhacking.net so it would probably be a good idea to replace the broken link with this one.

In my opinion, the trees in the background would look nicer if you use a black outline instead of a white one.

Yeah, that looks much better than before. I probably wouldn't have noticed that mistake you made with the black outline if BooUrns didn't point that out.

Another good one would be this:

Win.

As for the thing I never expected to see in a game would be fighting Bowser in a bathtub in Super Mario Sunshine. Not only was that unexpected but that has to be the most retarded final boss fight I've seen in a video game. Then again, just about everything in that game was fucked up like when Yoshi touches water and dies.

For a while, if anyone asked I said it was "Harry", which was a joke from school because at the time I looked like Harry Potter and the movies had just started to come out.

I got called that too sometimes but not recently. I even have a scar on my forehead but it is not the shape of a damn lightning bolt.

For the record, my real name is James. Anyone who remembers my old AIM screename should know my first and last name.

I'll also re-ask my question.

I've found everything in Francis64's SMW: Symphony of the Night except for the secret exit in Valley Of Bowser 2. Anyone know how to beat it?

If I recall correctly, Francis64's hack was unlocked when I used to have it. Unfortunately, I can't confirm this because I left that hack behind on my old computer. Also, the link to the hack is broken and it isn't on SMW Central either.

You can open Lunar Magic and see where the exit is yourself.

Most of the game series that appeared in Super Smash Bros. Melee I didn't know about until I started reading information about them through the trophies. The game series include the Star Fox series, Metroid series, Fire Emblem series, and some other ones.

The background palette looks weird in the first screenshot because it goes from brown to red near the bottom.

As Higsby mentioned, the 3rd background looks odd and there isn't any background on the 4th one.

The 5th screenshot looks very familiar. What I mean is that the dark room has the same foreground and background like the original one. Try experimenting with different tilesets. Golden Yoshi taught me that when I sent him a demo of my hack.

As for level names, I can't really think of any new ones. I still have 5 levels that I haven't named yet in my own hack.

My name is James.
I like it.
What?

There's nothing wrong with it.

I rarely see anyone with my first name at school. My initials is JCP. Some people call me JCPenny because of my initials.

On one of the older versions of the old board, admins could check the list of people who are blocking your layout as well as the layouts that you blocked. I really shouldn't be too hard to implement since it's been done before.

How could you forgot SMW2+?

Seriously, that hack is awesome.

Link.

Also, is this list only going to be for completed hacks or for both completed and demo hacks?

There's two other YI hacks worth playing as well. S.N.N's YI: Kamek's Revenge is a must and YI Remix by The 13th Prodigy. YI Remix can be found in the ROM Hacking forum but I forgot the link to the demo for S.N.N's hack. I'll search for it later because I have to go to bed soon.

YI:
* SMW2+2:Yoshi's Island 2

Your confusing SMW2+ with the name of Golden Yoshi's sequel.

It should just be SMW2+.

Well I was able to dl it in IE (thanks BooUrns) but now it crashes once I get to the "Welcome Back to Yoshi's Island" level (when the text box pops up) (and I tried both v1.0 and v1.1 roms).

Are you sure your rom is v1.0? If the name isn't "Yoshi's Island (V1.0) (U).smc", then that's probably the reason why it doesn't work.

It's about time to throw my comment about the hack.

It was pretty easy but I mean it in a good way. It's only World 1 after all. I had a little over 10 lives with no game overs after World 1 ended. In the original SMW2+, I could never manage to go over 6 lives because I died way too much. I had made probably 5 game overs on the first world of SMW2+ before completing it.

Also, some of the themes he used were interesting like having a level that focuses on enemies that can take Baby Mario from Yoshi and carry him away like the Bandits. Extra 1 has the most interest theme out of all the levels and I won't spoil it for you. You can find out yourself.

The rom was called Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi's Island (U) (V1.0) [!].smc.

There's your problem. If it has [!] or any other symbol other than (U) or (V1.0), then it won't work. You are going to have to search for a new rom for the hack to work.
