I don't like pizza chains at all. There are some decent local singleton restaurants like one named "Al Pacino", then one I used to know at the French Atlantic coast I really liked (but it's unlikely I ever go there again).

Over here in Europe, we have those GSM/GPRS-based internet USB sicks which typically take a SIM card and operate like cellphones. They don't cost significantly more than a plain DSL contract, though they are often significantly slower.

If anything like that exists over there, why don't you contemplate getting one of them?

The description on the website is rather scarce. Can you put in your own words what makes this game more attractive than, say, Ragnarok Online?

(Not that I know many other MMOs apart from RO, RO2 and WoW... but RO is really sweet...)

Taken in blinkenlights++ mode (and so I don't have to reveal much of the hideous mess in the room).

It also is astonishing how much more of the mess than intended becomes visible just from the transparency imposed by my layout. I should adjust my display...

edit: Yeah, that's two desktop computers and a laptop. There's also an invisible stereo in the background. I probably should have turned it on to contribute to the fancy lamps. I don't own any functional consoles.

Does your WLAN adapter support monitor mode at all? And even if it does, there seems to be quite a set of additional constraints for the driver that aren't necessarily supported...

Wouldn't the canonical way to change any driver be in the device manager rather than in the sound config?

Also, it's very plausible that the microphone is driven by your soundcard driver rather than an individual one.

I can't say I remember you, but welcome back.

I suggest you look around a bit before proceeding on your SMW hack; the level of what is the "state of the art" has gone up by quite a bit since 2006.

I suggest that you darken the logs a little. At the moment, they don't stand out too visibly against the vines.

Night Game
I want this game. Everything about this game reminds me of my childhood; drawing little tracks on paper that I would follow through again with a pencil as if it were a little car... imagining the physics that would come into play. Loops, jumps, etc... This is what I've been waiting for. The artwork and music of this game fits it so well, I don't think it could have been done better with any other art style.

Cave Story
I applaud Amaya-san for bringing a completely independent game to a mainstream console. Nicalis is doing a great job porting/remaking this game for the system. I can't wait for this one either.

Were any people of Nicalis actually present? (Who? Did you get to see Nifflas or Pixel?) (Though I still consider it rather disappointing how Night Game is only going to be released for the Wii...)

I still do consider it rather amusing that the makers of the two best (in my eyes) indie games of the past 5 years went on to become connected in such a way. It sure is a small world.

It's got voice acting, Graphics revamp, UI changes, and a hot button to switch back to the old graphics on the fly!

The industry having discovered the existence of a "nostalgia market" also might mean we will get more emulation/RH lawsuits again...
