Don't start threads with "lol", pay some more attention to your spelling and grammar and, most importantly, don't ask questions that could and should be answered for you by Google.

Closed then canned.

Is there any possibility to make the icons in the icon bar smaller? As it is now, it seems like a terrible waste of valuable vertical space...

I'm not overly concerned as far as getting Chocolate Doom to run goes (don't they take a certain amount of pride in doing so on pretty much everything?), but how did they make that transparent backgroundless PNG screenshot? Is that a new feature or was that already around in Vista?

What kinds of Russian music do you listen to? Neither the schmaltzy, somewhat monotonous single singer-songwriter guitar ballads that my mother used to like nor the ripoff of the worst stratum of Western pop you typically hear on the radio make for particularly fond memories of it for me...

This discussion might be pretty much impossible to lead without throwing clichés back and forth nowadays, but I have the staunch impression that Japanese popular music, on average, is decisively superior to its western counterparts as far as producing original and memorable melodies goes. With my tendency to listen to every song I like until I can't stand it anymore, I notice that the handful of good western songs mostly - with exceptions in very small numbers - only last a fraction of the time the good Japanese ones do.
Is it just me spiraling down the pits of weeaboo or am I observing something correctly there?

5.trash

There is nothing of value to this thread. It poses no intellectual challenge, reward or slightest chance of recreation apart from laughter at your expense.

I'm disposing of this.

Apart from several layering mistakes (like jumping behind houses bringing you in front of the roofs), one more notable bug I've run into is that the Harlequin's "boost to the next level" renders me immobile once I am there. That, together with a black tile on that map, seems to be reproduceable.

Although the lack of balance/difficulty curve would make assessment of the hack on a gameplay basis difficult, I think this is quite impressive as a demonstration of what the editor can do.

I know, and that is part of the problem. There is a lack of correlation between how difficult and how rewarding things are.

The frontpage is now saving your window placements when you are logged in. A reset-positions function is going to be added sometime soon.

As for the music on the stream... especially when it comes to music, you can't quite make it right for everyone.

"Style" is a topic on which two programmers perfectly can call each other's works "atrocious" and still both produce working and quality programs at the end of the day...

Sorry, but asking people to make things for you is not how ROM hacking works. If you wanted to inquire about the existence of one, you'd be better off doing so in the ROM hacking tools thread.

Closing.

While none of those I listened to are outright bad and probably would do a sufficient job at supporting the atmosphere the respective link titles imply, the composition at times just makes the impression of still being too random or even dominated by considerations of what looks good on the note sheet/piano roll rather than what would sound good, like the conspicuous absence of a consistent rhythmic signature in those songs that don't have some kind of percussion inserted at set intervals or the erratically changing scales melody. Under the assumption below, try putting more time into composing and rehearsing every single song before tackling a new one. It's not that bad for a start.

Did you make those yourself, and, if you did, what program did you use?

Back when I was around age 7, my mother used to take me along to her workplace a lot. She worked (and still works) as a theoretical astronomer, and there were these Sun SPARC stations standing all over the place. I must have thought something along the lines of "it would be insanely witty if I left a hacker-sounding username in the login box so people thought a hacker broke into their system" and somehow came up with what I have now (I suppose my frequent browsing of popular science journals like Scientific American which I had good access to thanks to my mother's occupation also played a part), though I'm not completely sure if the number sequence was the same back then. I think I might remember that I used "45" at first but thought it didn't look good, but my memory went very fuzzy over time.

Some years later, I was asking something about telnet bruteforcing somewhere and, lacking creativity, stuck to the "hackerish sounding" nickname I came up with before. I never quite got rid of it again, and thus here I am.

After years of ups and downs, quite well at the moment, I dare say.

How/what have you been doing all the time, anyway?

Try using avisynth with directshowsource("sourcefile.mkv") as a script together with a compatible encoder.

As far as "actual weaponry" goes, the two that come to mind are the Unreal Tournament series' rocket launchers (If you fire them while falling down, you can observe the trail of your own projectiles in 3D! Isn't that, like, totally sweet?) and Secret of Mana's lance (been my weapon of choice ever since I first played that game...)

Also, RO's Soul Strike deserves a honourable mention. Back in tRO1, I just loved walking through dungeons and taking out everything in sight with it without straying from my path. For the really heavy stuff, RO gets the cake again with Meteor Storm.

I then found Runescape and made a random account to see if I liked it. I did, but the name for the account was one that I did not like, so I thought for a while, "what would be a good japanese-sounding name..."

It neither sounds nor looks Japanese. There's no romanization system that would have a consonant written as 'c' either, let alone distinct from 'k'...

If something sells once, there is no reason not to repeat it until it stops selling if all you want to do is making money.

Out of all the FF games I tried, the only one I liked was FF6 anyway...

Stalking is the new cool thing to do in ROM hacking. Why bother figuring out the patterns in some old game when you can figure out the patterns in a real person's everyday life?

So how are things going in Chicago anyway?

who really wants to know how often and how hard men suck other mens' dicks?

Who really wants to know some nutcase's purported prediction of a superbowl game's result?
