In Fox News slang, "far left", "leftist", "liberal" and "evil" seem to be fairly interchangeable terms anyway...
You're absolutely right, so don't get me wrong, but it's not just isolated to the right. On Digg, for example, where the vast majority of the users lean toward the left, "neo-con" is a catch-all term for "evil," "jerk," etc, even if the true definition of it doesn't apply at all.

I know, I know, Fox News is a national media outlet while Digg users are private persons. Just trying to draw a parallel here.

Well, my point is that, from a European perspective, US political culture is blunt and savage in general.

Semi-related. (Although I think it's more likely O'Reilly's "despicable, slimy, scummy" website in question was meant to be 4chan, not Wikileaks...)

With Ailure's green light (pun not intended), I instated the green version of it for now.

Rotation and the like following later.

edit: Re: PoRA™: They've been in the database for some days now and are editable through the board for powerlevel 3 users.

Uh, no.

Doing that would likely spur 4chan to raid us again.

Last time, Xk took care of it using just tunabot and an HTTP redirect...

I don't see the risks at all.

Since I'm moving from Saxony down to Bavaria soon, I have a chance of actually experiencing a proper winter again for once. Here, in Dresden, we've been getting less and less snow and cold temperatures year by year. Last winter, it only rained most of the time...

I like snow.

-It's probably easier to start with a base level of easiness and make it harder rather than having something hard and making it easier.

Easier, but not necessarily better. "Good" complexity requires a certain amount of thinking in the "planning" time segment of level design and I doubt that many elements of it - puzzles, necessary preparation and foresight on the player's behalf, hints rooted in the design of the level (like a certain formation of coins always being found in the proximity of doors, and indicating the proximity of a hidden one at some point - though this is an example I pulled out of my rear end pretty much ) - can be added in later with acceptable effects easily.

Pretty! I like what you're doing a lot.

Should I update the currently used green banner?

Fixed... I think.

The timezone offset parameter wasn't being passed to the PHP script that generated the stylesheet properly.

Those look nice.

How similar is Metroid Fusion's gameplay to Super Metroid's anyway? The still images look like a carbon copy SNES port of the former would be quite possible...

GM's observation is correct. Additionally, you might want to watch out to not have two opposing black borders collide with each other - the resulting 2 pixel wide black line looks rather out of place.

A series of patches? Why does it have to be complicated like that? I think it would be better if you merged the three patches into one and put them on this board's uploader.

Anyway, am I understanding this correctly to be a patch to make Gradius 1's graphics look like the arcade version's, or are some stages changed too? I don't have the time to confirm that at the moment. The graphics changes look nice to me though.

If you can't write English too well, it's okay if you use Excite's machine translation and attach the original text like I did.

Note to the English readers: apparently, this works with Gradius 1 [J].nes, in spite of FCEUXD having screwed up graphics in the unchanged ROM. Haven't even bothered to test it with others though.

I think his point lies more in the ROM itself not constituting "pirated software" in the sense that gave rise to the "no ROM links" rule...

Anyway, how exactly did you go about ripping them? I wasn't aware the Wii or whatever console it runs on was emulatable yet... (capturing from digital video input?)

Being able to understand and talk in every language.

How is a language defined?

If you can define a new one from scratch, I see a lot of hacking potential in that power.

If you provided those of us who don't own a Wii with the dumps you are speaking about, we might or might not be able to give you a hand.

How large is the file, anyway?

Also, if nobody comes up with a good reason for this thread to stay here within 10 minutes, I'll trash it.

I'd say that background picture is the problem. It's small, weird and doesn't tile.

As for minipics, what's the general opinion on them? I, for my part, would consider them a somewhat unnecessary/bloatish feature...

Also, should I make a poll with proper options rather than one that will draw the majority on "other"?

Stark: Taking precautions against the usual minipicture-related exploits wouldn't be the problem...
