I got a question is it possible to make the final boss like a sidescroller version of Screaming Mantis (From MGS4)

We already have a decent concept for the final boss standing, and unless you can come up with a reason as to why that fits with the premise of the hack, no.

Moppy was working on one, but he vanished into nothingness.

Beyond that, it's bad to make threads just asking for whether there is an editor for [game]. Sure, the sticky we used to have for that - or so I believe, at least - is nowhere to be found, but... closing anyway.

Who uses bookmarks anyway?

Also, if chkdsk "ate" a file, chances are it was stored in a hidden FOUND.([0-9])([0-9])([0-9]) directory on the drive that it was found on to begin with, e.g. FOUND.000. Each of those should contain a number of .CHK files of which one might contain the data you are looking for (open in notepad or a hex editor to check). If you find that file again, you can rename and move it back to its intended location.

Because you're forgetting that countries do not include the personal wealth of their residents in that calculation; The money is in the hands of private interests, not public ones.

There's your simplest answer

Interesting point. But it doesn't mean that the population is indebted towards this 1% (or whatever) of very wealthy people. It just means they hold more money.

Exactly this.
The rich .01% have a lot of money.
The poor rest doesn't have negative amounts in spite of that.
Assuming they don't print their own, the money has got to come from somewhere.
Who's left to consider?
Governments.

Levesque: It's the difference that arguably made Windows capable of taking the market in a storm.

chungy: Interesting work there; I've never seen 1.0 in action before myself.
What would really interest me is having a look at 1.0/2.0's API code, to see how much of the awful design of the later versions is bulk they took along from a that early point.

Assuming this is supposed to mean what it seems to be supposed to mean, I'm in.

My first and last turn in the game shall be trashing this thread.

Well, there was no NT 3.0 or below...

(Yes, I reckon this is a cheapskate statement since they obviously intended to integrate it into the "main version line" by numbers)

Good job as always on the videos.

Google is becoming the Acme Corporation of the internet more and more every day...

"The same thing we do every night, Larry—try to take over the world."

How well does that browser handle SVG and PNG transparency? Any support for SVG animations?

Sehr geehrter Herr ████████,

Server hatte einen Black-Screen, nach einem reboot ist dieser wieder erreichbar.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen

██████ ███████

As you might have noticed, the server was down for a good 11 hours earlier. Apologies for any inconvenience caused; at least the last two hours were completely my fault for sending the support request mail to the wrong datacenter (my provider maintains several distinct ones) after being told to send one by the "we won't do anything before you did that" service line.

Turned out the server had a "blackscreen" and had to be rebooted.

Regards,
Housekeeping

The about:% crash is weird. Why the hell...?

Regardless of all typical early-version shortcomings, I must say this browser strikes me as rather sweet. The rendering and everything seems much faster, the interface is neat and clean and several points seem well thought through - like how opening links in a new tab opens them next to the current tab rather than way to the right (I missed that in Firefox) or you can resize textareas in forms (quite valuable in board2, seeing as its textareas often are inconveniently small for entering large posts). Judging from temporary files it generated during the installation, it seems to use OpenGL for rendering, which is rather interesting.

I think comparing a plugin-overloaded Firefox vs. Chrome with a 1970s Soviet Main Battle Tank vs. a modern urban-use microcar is quite fitting.

The JavaScript virtual machine was considered a sufficiently important project to be split off (like Adobe/Mozilla's Tamarin) and handled by a separate team in Denmark.

Coincidence?

Somewhat ironic how Google's, out of all vendors, browser has the search function as a shortcoming...

No, not IRC. The whole server machine this board, the IRC server and other things are hosted on.

The IRC logs just give a good reference of the rough time when it happened.

Criticism and blind worship is one thing, but I think that, for the decision between off-topic posting and blind worship, the scale is tipped in favour of the latter a bit in my opinion.

Anyway, Omega, could you give a breakdown as to why that took a whole hour to complete, or would even take 20 minutes for somebody more accustomed to the process? This sounds like you are in dire need of rectangle tools and/or an option to store and recall frequently-used tile groups (like houses).

Slowpoke: Go back to bed, Slowpoke.

Alastor: "a concentrated ball of my rage" makes me think of a certain stock fighting game attack. Especially since it's you.

Xeruss: We already used the Super Troll Islands banner for a while. The circumstances, at the moment, don't call for it being used again.

Without at least some common and recognizable element (->template), banners feel awfully detached and lacking identity value.

There are better ways of spurring activity than posting this thread for the [2-digit number]th time.

As for the reasons, that's history. Out of all the places that could be considered as triving in the ashes of Acmlm's Board, SMW Central is the only one that's significantly more active anymore.

I'll give this thread some time to see if anything constructive comes out of it, though I doubt it. Other staff: If you think this should be disposed of, be my guest.

Yume Nikki. Since I don't know any definitive website for the English translation, the Japanese version fails to render the text properly even through locale changes for some reason and there ultimately only is a download link - Here, I blogged about it.

It's good.

- New banner (who wants to come to a board that is "a miserable little pile of drama")

Well, if somebody bothered to make one...

- Perhaps a new board layout.

Go to "edit profile" and pick any of those available.

PR... would require somebody who is adept at it to pull off.
