Yes.

I think when I first hacked up the poll system, I decided to postpone that to the next day or so.

No, Kawa. If you participate in the postcount enrichment experiment, there will be cake.

There are also some subtle changes to page layouts here and there to remove gross cases of text clinging to table borders and what-not.

The new page link display can be disabled in one's profile settings if one is thus inclined.

Also, I can imagine one might want a poll that has a protection against politicking causing the results to shift at a later point in its lifetime...

Also, the change about long pagelists could also be applied to thread.php and perhaps others... this comes to mind...
I've been thinking of doing that, but that would remove what is, at the present, the canonical way of accessing one particular page in a thread.

(I reckon something like introducing a "go to page" textbox would have to be done.)

Well, I can't imagine those cables literally being a piece of wire you can just go and cut, and the stock terrorists these days won't have much of an opportunity of practising underwater bombings either... and on that matter, blowing up a few cables would probably just cause a few seconds of outage before traffic is routed elsewhere.

On that matter, the list of worldwide critical infrastructure that was among the cables does include quite a number of underwater cable endpoints.

To my best knowledge, at least in the latest version of LM I played around with, their number was hardcoded, i.e. you couldn't create additional ones.

Also, when asking questions, please be a bit more verbose about your exact problem and what you are trying to achieve. It would encourage people to help you.

Well, around this time, even the East Coast Americans generally tend to go to sleep, and the Europeans are mostly sound asleep already; apart from that, I suppose it really depends on where you go. Places like 4chan would be, comparatively, teeming with life even now.

On the other hand, it might be fair to say that, in a way, people's way of using the internet itself has changed; with the advent of networks like Facebook, not many newcomers actually go out into the jungle of hard-to-understand, idiosyncratic, backwards forum-based communities to mingle anymore. While some places are taking the demographic shift better than others, we certainly are on the worse end of the scale here...

Well, every decline starts with people losing the will to fight... I am sure that the concept of a registration-based forum itself still is quite tenable if one was able to gather a sufficient amount of motivation.

The player character's palette on the Kid Icarus screens looks somewhat screwy... pperhaps if you made the outlines a darker shade of blue...?

Ah, I see how machine translators would get nowhere with that... it's rather full of slang, informalisms and allusions to heck-knows-what. I'll give it a try.

In the process of making one update per month the default

Hello, good evening, another month has gone over. Here's the current state of affairs.

Around the end of last month, my graphics card has gone to meet its maker. Some 3D-related stuff having no impact whatsoever on FRAXY became quite troublesome.

I checked out @の溜まり場("@'s gathering place") for the first time in a while and found out that ToME 3 is no more and has now become ToME 4. I'm slightly at loss. (TL note: The original expression he uses is "a light Polnareff situation", which Google told me is a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure inspired meme/slang expression for "a situation where you don't get what's going on at all")

As far as Fraxy is concerned - although it might seem that I spend ages fixing bugs, it feels like it's stuck in a state of stagnation with stalled engines. (Bad attempt at semi-literal translation of idiom.)
I wonder if I can do anything about this "motivation" thing that I never seem to have when I need it but overflow with when it doesn't matter.

Links to references things added by me, grey text denotes my remarks or sentences I was not quite sure how to interpret.

Posted by San Francisco Chronicle, via Pharyngula
Pakistani authorities have arrested a doctor on suspicion of violating the country's contentious blasphemy law by throwing away a business card of a man who shared the name of Islam's prophet, Muhammad, police said Sunday.

The case began Friday when Muhammad Faizan, a pharmaceutical company representative, visited Valiyani's clinic and handed out his business card. He said when the doctor threw the card away, Faizan went to police and filed a complaint that noted his name was the same as the prophet's.

If this isn't epic-tier trolling, I don't know what is...

So Assange apparently was finally granted release on bail earlier, for £200k security and having to use an electronic tag.

Relevant tweet.

Yeah, that colour scheme looks quite a bit more plausible.

Tradition or not, I think it would make sense to replace powered up palettes with something less cheesy as well...
