Actually, deletions already are somewhat preserving in nature. The only reason the feature is blocked is that metadata gets lost and I am too damn lazy to fix it.

Introduced a cheapo captcha either way. It's not really "secure" or anything, but I reckon spammers wouldn't go as far as making a tailored to Acmlmboard captcha parser.

And if they do, it can always be made more secure.

I wish the good old practice of releasing games for free as a work of art you want to communicate rather than a vehicle of making money was still alive to a significant degree. Games like this are just "indie" enough that I would feel slightly bad for pirating it, but not nearly "indie" enough that I would wish to support the developers financially...

So my old trusty point-and-shoot camera (won at an informatics competition back when I still was at school) fell on concrete tiling a couple of days ago, which caused the display to break and added to the degree of already-present defects to induce a state of effective unusability. (For reference, this, and all but the oldest two on there, have been shot with it and are probably what I would consider the best specimens from that time.)

Feeling like this might be the right time to step up, I went out and spent some £480 on a Micro 4/3 camera, later proceeding to obtain a Minolta 50mm f/1.7 lens with an appropriate adapter since the kit lens wasn't particularly fast (being essentially an obsolete piece of technology, all of that only amounted to roughly £60 in total). The complete system can be seen here, shot blindly from the remains of the old camera.

Here are some pictures I took around Cambridge to depict the present autumniness of the place and test the new camera.

Any thoughts or own experiences with no-longer-entirely-amateurish camera systems you would like to share?

I don't know. From the decidedly tattered and badly designed look of the device (in an edge where everything that is to sell has to look new and edgy) to the menus looking like nothing more than cheap android UI edits, this really screams "hoax" to me.

Have you tried firing up a task manager and observing e.g. how its memory usage develops over time?

This might be a telltale sign of a memory leak of sorts.
