Actually doesn't look so bad, but the fonts are weird in places (in particular, this text entry box and the buttons) and some mint-coloured links are positively hard to see against the mint-coloured background.

Grab something good to eat (out; too lazy to wash dishes), go outside and enjoy the twilight if the weather permits (the deep purple of the post-sunset autumn sky is a colour unparalleled in nature~), stare at my screen/listen to music/F5 internet news sites/enjoy the silence before a long night of work starts.

Better than your previous one, that's for sure. I'd always consider it a bad sign if a user's "layout" contains more words than their average post...

You could do away with the "Layout created by:"; it's obnoxious and it's not like anyone would else be inclined to assume otherwise. Also, having 3D table borders is very much 90s style and you should look into making your layout fill the whole post area.

Apologies for the downtime.

The server was being moved to a new datacenter and I completely forgot about acknowledging everybody in advance. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Consider it a case of emergency taxation.

Some staff members are with those socialist healthcare-mongering atheist Europeans.

No; in theory, if anything does that, irc.djbouche.net (without additional qualifiers) should. I'm not sure if Bouche set up anything of the kind though; a larger-scale network would probably have something that tries to allocate users by geographic proximity and load.

For Xenogears!

The Megaman series has better songs than that...

50: FF6

The orchestration of the ToS song seems somewhat weak, although I can't rule out that being a problem of the video.

I like that idea and it would be rather easy to implement too; limits and such would not even really be necessary.

I'll look into it.

I wouldn't agree with Xeruss' definition; if anything, "modding" should be the more limited term of the two.

I'd be inclined to say that "hacking" explicitly refers to the process of reverse engineering, figuring out and controlledly modifying aspects of the game that were not intended to be reverse engineered, figured out or modified, while "modding" refers to any application of changes that does not require significant mental activity of deducing the way things are laid out and how they could be changed. In other words, somebody using an editor made by somebody else (e.g. Lunar Magic), modifying graphics laid out in the plain in a well-known format using a tool that makes finding them a triviality or even, as a borderline case, adding code doing straightforward and well-documented things to a straightforward and well-documented position in the game's code would be modding, while somebody who figures out the map format of a game and uses the information he obtained to change things around, or somebody reverse engineering an unknown to him method of compression for graphics, would be hacking.

But of course, there has been lots of disagreement about the subject, particularly because many of those who will never graduate from doing clicky WYSIWYG stuff in a graphical editor still like to fashion themselves as "hackers" (and few people have the enthusiasm to jump in objecting).

I think that at the moment, our capacities are really sufficient to wipe up bad users after the fact and there is no reason to risk turning good users away by making them jump through hoops just to register.

Lufia 2.

One of the best boss battle themes on the SNES, if you ask me.

Ys.

While the Chrono Trigger song is also good, it is no match to it.

Chrome, for a browser that people actually use. Opera is a niche application and its quirks are seldom accounted for.

Xenogears.

While the Final Fantasy 6 song is catchy and memorable, and certainly, in fact, one of the best songs to grace the series, in comparison to the grave, menacing, befitting of a final boss atmosphere the Xenogears tune conjures up, and even what some SNES games and more specifically other BGMs in FFVI manage, it pales as being somewhat too upbeat and "game-flavoured".
