I have to go with messiaen here. Sure, if you just hack around on a game or write quick and dirty code, "I need to increment a sprite's x position here... let's increment its x position" seems like natural reasoning; however, if you actually write a larger project with a codebase that is supposed to be flexible and accommodate for potential foreseeable and unforeseeable future changes, you will have to come up with a more contrived, and thus less immediately obvious, means of implementation. Real programming rarely is just an incremental process along the lines of "if I add this here, it will get the job done".

Next time in the Summer 2010. Consider put the category

Best User Profile

Sometimes I edit my profiles constantly.

Would you still be for including it if I told you nobody would vote for you in it anyway?

Wasn't the bill watered down/chopped up to something utterly ridiculous along the lines of "it is compulsory to obtain a private insurance under the threat of severe financial penalty"?

If I was in charge of a private insurance, I'd just have a friendly backdoor conference with all the other representatives so we could agree to keep gently raising the prices.

A bill like that probably wouldn't survive the Supreme Court or whatever judicial instance is responsible for scrutinizing legislation over there.

Wikinews, random internet browsing, heise.de and a certain German blog that has been quite rightfully called a net culture tabloid, but includes sources for all its tabloidesque items, which makes it quite acceptable on my map.

Also general news noise picked up from real-life and IRC conversations, newspapers people forget on the bus and what-not.

Since we are over the deadline anyway, I propose resetting it to 2010-03-24 23:59 and coercing everyone who hasn't voted yet into voting until then.

I actually lost weight.

I might be missing something obvious there, but I fail to see where that came from or how it relates to the thread's topic.

Although, I suppose, that's some pretty newsworthy information in itself.

Thanks Now hopefully we'll have less passwords goofed up

Edit- the way it works for editprofile should be changed to something like ignoring the password change and still changing the other details when the second password field is empty. Otherwise, as most browsers will autofill the first password field but not the second one, you have to enter your password each and every time you're editing your profile.

You should stop your browser from doing that...

If the profile change runs through, we are going to get a sufficient number of people who will just ignore or overlook that the password didn't change, move on and wind up not knowing their password because they think they changed it. Also, we don't really have any established standards for displaying a "partial success" of any kind at the moment...

Pretty much facebook works for me, and my homepage rr.com and ny1.com. Television here in the United States are all up in the celebrities asses to focus on anything serious in my opinion...
Talking about American television, I still think Fox News is some big practical joke.
Well, you might as well think that about 50% of America is.

Why does Mega-Mario post a question that would more appropriately be directed to people with code access in here? Creative answers encouraged.

In order to test a new feature I just hacked up under the odds of the severe mess that preg_replace 'sie is, let's have a thread about flash loops.

Delicious flash loops.

Delicious chiptune.

Quote my post to see the syntax of the associated tag, although I might add it to the post format toolbar in a bit.

Seriously, though, this tune is <3.
