let's see.
board2 has had 2 community splits (july 2007 and sometime early 2012), and pretty lacklustre management. i'm not saying kill the board and redirect people to either one of those 2 sites. a lot of people probably lurk this board but never post as they know the management has been really neglectful as of the past 6 years or so (around the time of the kafuka split). the few that hang around pretty much only post in ROM Hacking, and the rest are spammers, or trolls (e.g. me technically for instance, though I'm just giving advice on what to do). i honestly feel like this board would have been a lot better if there hadn't been me interfering in 2015/16 but oh well, it happened. but looking back on the further picture, it looks as though blackhole89 really doesn't give two flying fucks about the site if he simply logged in after over 3 months to promote QC and then never post or even check again. this to me, and probably to a lot pf people, looks like a site that has been pretty much abandoned. especially as my other alt (BH IS STUBBORN) was never banned either, and the only recent threads have been spam. i'm not "grinding my teeth over the fact it exists" either, I'm honestly trying to provide advice for the board so we can as a whole make a community again out of this dead zombie board. that's why I suggest we archive this place, and move somewhere else created by the board members. somewhere that actually has some sort of management at the start and continues to towards the end. people just aren't motivated to post anywhere now really. if I was suggestion to move to other communities that already exist then I would just be an advertising troll, I'm saying we should start again (perhaps using Kak2x/jul as a starting point for the board software) and build up a good reputation again. tbh I'd go as far as to allowing you, QC, to have some server access to my VPS so you can do whatever with it. I've tested the aforementioned software for my own site and it works fine in my configuration, so it should work anywhere as long as it uses MariaDB 10. i would be willing to allow this place a new home and a breath of fresh air after all the toxicity that happened between 2015-16 particularly. any thoughts? would anyone want to see a new home? reply please - and be honest
