Sweet I can tell right from the get go you are pulling ideas from sonic mania and some other game I can't quite put my finger on.
Keep an eye on sonic mania steam forums, its really good place pull some ideas from that place.

Hi First post here, though I'm cross-posting this on Romhacking.net too.


I have spent the last few days with bsnes and Geiger's debugger, but I'm terrible at debugging and have made virtually no progress in figuring out how or where the pattern is. I've poked around hacks and translations of the game, and noticed it can be done... I'm just not sure how.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Using those 2 debuggers, what would be the best way to find these (as in, what would be the best course of action with the debuggers' tools, and how to read and apply the date they show)?

Would really appreciate some help ^^;

I'm making a rom hack of Super Mario RPG, featuring the Beta content. and I realized something. I made two beta versions of Mario's Pad, plus a beta version of Toadstool's Room, a beta version of Booster Tower, and a ton of other things.

Alright for starters open up that super mario rpg editor, go to mario's pad.
You see that table that a few inches from the wall ?
Move it back to the original position, so that the mario AI can leap on it and act out for toad.
Otherwise the mario ai will keep running in place forever.

BIG UPDATE!

I changed the name "APPRENTICE" to "SNIFIT CADET."

and I added flowers for the Marrymore church.


Its a nice hack, I won't be playing it through it, that rom is just too unstable.
If you wanted to show off everything, you "could" include a sram battery file or snes9x sav file.

Keep working with your hack.

Hyrule Magic (an editor for Zelda:ALttP) doesn't seem to work. I downloaded the latest version, and tested it on my copy of "Zelda: Kamigami no Triforce" (the Japanese version of ALttP), and while loading works fine, the moment I double-click on any room or area to load it, it crashes Hyrule Magic. Is Hyrule Magic only compatible with the US version of the game? Or is it SUPPOSED TO also work with the Japanese version?
