I got a chance to play it last night, this seems pretty awsome and the story line is good.
I can see you pulled alot of ideas from mega man 9, 10 and reorchestrated into mega man 4.
If its not too much to ask, please put in a battery save for it.
Since I am always on the go lately, I don't have time to mess around with passwords.

Well its finally done, everything is included, check the readme so you know where to get the pcm files.
Everything should be under 800mb, dsl connection will probably take 2 hours or less.
Get the patch here.

Enjoy

Don't worry i replaced all of the .pcm files with new ones.
I noticed quite a bit of problems from the 2015 rom patch.
This is why i did a new revision for msu hack
Also you can this as a base for whatever projects you have in mind.
Google fre:ac v1.0.31 use it with audacity to make editing music files easier.

Just an idea that everyone comes in mind. The MSU-1 version of DKC needed more tracks to fill in the death music and for each theme level.

2:58 now this is funny with that death music beat, if you're gonna be working with it.
Give the whole sound track a more updated feel, it sure as hell would be worth it.

I don't think thats going to happen, in super mario bros 2, some enemies use shared palettes.
Use the super mario bros 2 level editor palette tool and find out for yourself.

I'm barely on his site due to working 60 hours every week

Make that money, bro.

Hahaha! Tryin' to! :-D

Anyway, the new patch has been released. Be sure to read the readme. :-)

Money kills don't work too hard for it, its not worth it in the end.
I read the readme just now, good grief was I pissed after reading 4.
I had almost beaten you're game, but I had used a game genie code to acquire 1 item.

Came back home from work one night and began playing again to finish it off.
Battery save file got corrupted and sent me all the way to beginning with half of my items.
Even the save state I had couldn't get it back, I was recording at the time and ruined everything.

People been asking for it, so I'm delivering.

I been working on this hack since 2007 on and off, but I'd love to finish it. Dragonsbrethen did the graphics. Here's a video of the hack in action.

And here's the patch.

Bugs: The checkpoint in Bombman's level doesn't work, you'll keep falling through the screen. There's also graphic glitches when you walk through the doors before you fight the bosses. There's a graphic glitch in Elec Man's boss room, it's in the video, and I don't know how to get rid of it. It looks fine in the editor though.

For starters which Mega Man 1 rom version do we need ?
I just got around to playing this just now, I like the ice man stage you did.
The enemies don't give out enough yellow energy balls or none at all.
I think there are two really messed up stages in your hack.
To be sure of that please give us the correct rom version we need to apply the ips correctly.

I'm sorry man but it's just too much stress to fix and I already quit on your project because it's just too much to handle. I was originally going to charge people for doing people's projects (including using Fiverr) which was in the grey area but Nintendo and other companies gets pissed off and I don't work on people's romhacking projects for free.

So you would charge me to fix my bugs in this hack? Okay, how much would you charge me to fix the graphical glitches?

See if he will settle for $40 first then help walk you through to correct the problems in the future yourself.

@blackhole89 What is your opinion on freesync, is it needed or not ?
Read this here first before replying:

As for whether it's needed at all, well, I don't have it and feel fine. Random intermittent tearing has never bothered me, and I assumed that consistent tearing (like multiple frames in a row tearing around the same scanline) was an independently solved problem (i.e. something your engine's rendering governor should recognise and compensate for). I probably would make note of it as a favourable property if one configuration I considered buying had it but another didn't, but wouldn't go out of my way to shell out $100+ extra just to have it.

Hmm I thought as much I had upgraded my gpu to a Nvidia EVGA GTX 1050 SC edition last summer.
Amazon shot me in email with a $100 off discount on select freesync monitors for 3 months.
So from last july till now they are high and most of them don't suit my needs currently.
I was reading this last week coming home from work and some people swear by it:
https://www.techspot.com/community/topics/using-freesync-with-nvidia-gpus-how-well-does-it-work.251446/

My sanyo 32inch tv has a busted sound board and sanyo customer service told me the warrenty was up in august.
So I am in the market of getting a good freesync monitor by acer or go with the LG led tv at 32-40 inch size.

This is a hack I made for Mega Man X2 which removes all of X's armor graphics
and includes armor less sprites for the shoryuken and reduced damage animations.

Here are some screenshots:

You can find the patch here:
http://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php?topic=27319.0

Also, I made a X1 hack which does the same thing like X2.
You can find this patch here too:
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/3197/

Just wanted to give you a heads up msu-1 audio works for your hack.
Thankfully there no complications when I used someone elses X2 msu1 patch.
Drop me a pm next time you come around I'll hook you up with some details including the ips.

Tried asking on nesdev, and on fceux tsavideos, github, but no one is willing to help. I'm working on another multicart idea using mapper 209. The problem is, is that the mapper does not allow usage of WRAM/PRG-RAM. The mapper only let's you swap 8kb chunks into it as PRG-ROM. I've made sure my NES 2.0 header is correct for PRG-RAM usage, but I still get an open bus through $6000-$7FFF (everything remains 00's through it all)

I downloaded the latest source code to fceux, and tried to view the mapper file, but I cant understand c, or whatever variant of c is being used.

Anyone familiar with c, or know someone that would be willing to assist me in getting wram working for mapper 209?

Thanks! :-)

Can you publish your C code or sources online so nesdevelopment and board2 can see what they are dealing with ?

Cool, but i'm fully aware of the msu-1 patch and even tried it on my hack without any problems. But thank you for letting know about it.

Good for you, check the weapon get menu screen, I noticed that X's arm and hand changes to the same color as his armor.
I noticed that when I was doing a test with my msu-1 patch

Hey, I was going to wait until the next update to make another post but I've been quiet for so long again and this next one has plenty for me to do, so I want to let you guys know I'm in the middle of working on it right now.

So far I've been fixing Rush:
Currently I just made it so that you can shoot 3 shots (they do it for Rush, Beat, and Eddie in all games after MM3, so yeah might as well lol), and also while inside Rush Marine (the NES allows 3 there so wth Wily Wars haha).
As well I just made Megaman able to shoot his plasma still when Rush runs out of energy (it skips spawning Rush).
I have a little more to finish up on Rush's code, and it was oddly challenging and time consuming (taken a week so far) to track down what all was responsible for what, but that's almost done.

For the next update here are my other goals besides the Rush changes just mentioned:

Add:
- A 'No Save' game file (maybe WT can be unlocked on it if any saved game file has it unlocked).
- 6 Button Controller Support and ability to change Weapons without opening the Weapon Menu. Make option to have buttons that switch between Weapons and Items, and just Weapons / Items separately (can use X/Y, and Z/C for these); can also do for example Weapons and Items on X/Y, and switch only between Items on Z/C. Of course I'll update the Control Config in the Options Menu to support this too.

Change:
- When visiting the Save screen after defeating a Boss, display the Robot Masters for the game you're playing rather than always starting on MM1's.
- Allow cursor to loop from top to bottom in WT Weapon Menu.

Well its finally nice to see you making sega mega man hacking lively again.
I'm still waiting on your demo play through of your current editor.
What is this i hear you doing sonic hack on the sidelines, is this why you've been preoccupied ?
