Playing some music in a media player helps if I can't get sound to work in something.

Hey I like that Special world. I don't, however, like the sun much. It's okay, just make it look less square.

I found the level design awful. I only played through to the fourth level and got frustrated because it became less about actual skill and more about memorizing the levels so you know when some invisible thing will pop out at you or when the unexpected fucking baseball hits you. The graphics are fine but everything blends together too much.

There was Internet Explorer for Mac at one time. I think it was 3.01 or something.

Hell, even MS Paint will save as an indexed bitmap. Just save as 16 color BMP. It's an option under the File Type combobox.

Im surprised I never hear anything about this (unless it was brought up a lot before my time) but Lunar Magic doesn't run properly in Wine.

ftp://paulman.hopto.org/lmwine.jpg

It looks like that. Notice that the actual level area is really small in the top left corner so you can't use it at all. Is there any way to fix this. Restarting in to Windows is a huge hassle because I have a lot of programs open all the time that would be a royal pain to open again.

It's pretty problematic in crossover office with the level area not being drawl properly. Thanks anyway. I guess I'll need to run it in an emulator.

I have been having so much trouble with the extender. I have gotten a ROM from 2 sites and a GoodN64 torrent named Super Mario 64 (U) [!].z64 and for each one it would complain about not finding the MIO0 files. Is this the incorrect file or is the ROM from those 3 places corrupted?

I'm using Linux so my bootup is pretty bland. First, there's the menu where I choose between Windows XP and Linux. Just text mode with a blue rectangle for the menu and grey text on the screen and black background. The Windows one has just the standard XP Home screen, nothing special. If I choose Linux, I just get some more grey and black text about the computer loading things and checking stuff. After a few seconds, the nvidia logo flashes up for a second then disappears to a black and white pattern with a grey box in the moddle asking for username and password. I use xdm so it's very very minimal looking. That's about it.

You could try openSPC's Impulse Tracker (.it) file output mode. That's nicer because you aren't limited by midi's preset instruments. Rather, it uses the samples from the .SPC file itself. You can you modplug tracker to export to .WAV I think.

Visual Basic programs tend to not run at all in Wine. Take SMILE for example. Although, I've found some parts of that to not even run in Windows...

Java would work or even C or C++ using GTK+ for the GUI.

Turned 18 on June 11. It's been an interesting 18 years; I miss when I was 6 or 7, life was so much more fun and carefree back then. Too bad I wasted it being a complete retard with emotional problems.

Not much. Probably the Make It Yourself type desk I bought from Office Depot.

You need to register the ocx with regsvr32. I forget the exact syntax but it's probaly something like regsvr32 , it might need some switch though. Running it with no arguments might spit out a usage page. If not, just google for it.

It's Mario. Trees don't have eyes, either, last I knew. Anyway, I like the screenshots. Decent looking but not too flashy but they are a bit bland. If you must have a lot of empty space somewhere, put some coins or some ornamental thing in there.

when i was at school with the fat connection, i'd regularly get up to 10, even on large files. I forget how high i'd get though.

you can fix it by backing up the data on a computer that can read it and installing a disk manager program on it, usually comes with the setup CD you get with it or you can find it online. It replaces the BIOS's disk access functionality, I guess.
