It was a beautiful day in Mushroom Kingdom. However, the serenity will be shattered by the coming of two new enemies, unbeknown to Mario and Luigi, the famed plumbers.

Mario and Luigi were enjoying the day in this peaceful kingdom. As the clouds passed overhead, Mario turned to his brother.

"Hey, Luigi; what a gorgeous day this is... Oh, what's this? It appears as though some people are coming!"

Luigi shielded the sun from his eyes with his hand and looked across the plains.

"Yeah, I see them, too," he acknowledged.

The party consisted of two people, one of which wore a yellow hat with an inverted "M" upon its front, tacky purple overalls, and the strangest nose anyone had ever seen, in addition to his noticeable heaviness. His companion had a purple hat, with a similar inverted letter, this one being an "L", black, messy overalls and an equally peculiar nose, hinting at the fact that they may be related, but his lanky appearance could throw some people off.

Seeing these new faces, Mario smiled and waved, calling out to them.

"Why, hello there! We are the Mario Brothers!"
"Famed plumbers and princess-savers!" Luigi added.

Wario and Waluigi approached these two apparently famous celebrities, and introduced themselves.

"I am Wario! And this here is my brother, Waluigi!" the overweight one replied with a grin, his lanky brother waving at them.

As Wario looked around the grassy meadows and the Donut Plains, he sniffed the air, and looked back at Mario.

"Gee, this sure is a beautiful kingdom ya got here!" Wario stated with his usual smug look upon his face. Mario beamed at his compliment.

"Why, thank you, Wario! This is our hometown, as a matter of fact!" Luigi nodded in agreement of his brother.

Wario laughed heartily, and patted Mario's shoulder.

"Well, let's not be standing around. Come on and show us around the place!" Wario insisted, with his brother nodding along with Wario.

"An excellent idea! Come on, Mario! Let's show our new pals around Mushroom Kingdom!" Luigi suggested, as he and Mario began to walk towards the Mushroom Kingdom Castle Town Square, expecting Wario and his aimless brother to be following behind. Wario took the Mario Brothers obliviousness and whispered to Waluigi's ear.

"Those simpletons! I have a plan. When he takes us into town, we'll hit up the houses and make the big score! We'll be rolling in coins! Whaddaya say, bro?" Waluigi seemed excited at this turn of events.

"Oh, yeah! That's an ingenious plan, Wario! I'm with you!" he whispered back.

Just then, Mario's voice could be heard.

"Hey! Are you guys coming or not?" Wario picked his head up, and looked around nervously.

"Uhh, Yeah! I was just tying my shoes, that's all! Come on, Waluigi!"


Will Wario and Waluigi's insidious plan be put into motion, or will the Mario Brothers catch on to the twins' plans? Find out in the next update to Mario and Luigi meet Wario and Waluigi!
