Well! I'm looking forward to all pics and videos you get out to us After Quest for Calatia finally died (it may as well have...) Zelda 3 hasn't had any real projects alive for it...
(I wonder if there's any Japanese hacks floating around, undiscovered....) |

I do! I actually just posted some for some of raocow's fans so they can judge Mario Adventure a little easier. The level design wasn't so bad in the demos I remember playing back in the day...
I also have a demo of Red Coin Quest and a copy of Mario Vs. Luigi, I'm just gonna upload them all 'cause I dunno what other people might have! http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=4209 http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=4210 http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=4211 http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=4212 |

I think the first map choice is the least jarring. It clearly shows what rooms are known without making it look like the castle is missing pieces of itself. |

I'unno. But I did have someone play the patches themselves and see that they worked, so maybe that's it. But anyways, here's the actual hacks instead.

I definitely think it's a good thing. What I noticed was that the overworld part of the game was very well done, but the dungeons were atrociously bland, gimmicky (abusing glitches), and hard. If someone can radically fix these, this will be an amazing hack.
Though, why are you only using hex? |

Your name sounds familiar! I've lurked around for years all over the place. I miss places like TEK hacks and Challenge Games--to give you an idea
I love you for doing this. I've always wanted to play around with the earlier Dragon Quest games, but their games always seemed so difficult to edit around, and not many programs were around to make it easier. I'm looking forward to whatever progress you make--but map editing would be the most amazing thing of all. Especially since I LOVE Dragon Quest 3 the most |

This looks really cool I like the new art style you got going. How much work have you put into your hack so far? |

I noticed the new videos in my youtube feed. Thank you for updating us! A couple of them really made me want to try editing the game again--I wanted to at first, but it seemed way too complicated for a fun hobby, so I put it off in favor of editing a Bomberman game :p |

In YY-CHR, you are able to arrange how you view the data. There should be a drop-down list called 'Patterns'. Try some of these pre-set arrangements. I was able to find a setting that made the graphics look some-what recognizable.
Hope this helps! |

My personal suggestion is to archive the board and migrate the remaining members to whatever similar board would suit their tastes. Members who are around for social fun times probably are already connected through a different means than this board; members who come here for romhacking or other interests can find that elsewhere.
This has been the most gracious way I've seen forums die. For the romhackers, I would suggest migrating to romhacking dot net. It seems to be fairly active amongst the newbies still, and is still pretty laid back. Until the random oldie comes in with petty grudges and makes an ass of themselves. |

Can't wait to hear more! I know it's just a bug video shown above, but man, even that made me super eager for seeing more! The dark world aspect is looked really, really sick man |

I don't think there's much a community left. I would move on to greener pastures. If you're in it for the games/rom hacks, maybe check out gbatemp or romhacking dot net |
