I choose Rockman AF, since I've really been getting into Mega Man hacks lately

You'd have to assign the right pointers, allocate some stage data, and the TSA blocks.

On other news...

Took me a half hour to do, MM5 hack. What do you guys think? I'm aiming for a cyberspace kind of feel.

Megaman 5: Battle Network?

It looks pretty cool

Well, my two favorite hacks are probably Rockman 4: Minus Infinity and Sonic Classic Heroes.

Rockman 4: Minus Infinity is a really impressive work of ASM, the bosses are very different, and the game is just overall amazing. I love the Aqua Devil in Cossack's Castle, as well as the part where you can ride vehicles in Wily Castle 1.

Sonic Classic Heroes is really great, too. It ports all the levels from Sonic 1 into Sonic 2 perfectly. Elemental shields from Sonic 3 are added, and there are two different sets of Chaos Emeralds to collect. The best part however, is that you can have Sonic, Tails, AND Knuckles on the screen at the same time and switch characters by pressing A. It makes the game interesting as you can go through the levels any way you want, and certain bonuses have been added that can be reached by Tails and Knuckles. Also, Team Chaotix has been ported from Chaotix for the 32X, so you can play as them too, which has a different feel than Team Sonic.

Anyways, both hacks are really good, I would suggest them to anybody.

If you wanna make an NES hack, I will gladly contribute my Megaman Samus sprites, even if I can't help with the hacking.

http://i.imgur.com/LEnoR9Q.png

And there's also the hack idea I had. A hack of Megaman 6, Power and Jet forms are changed to being Samus and Zero Suit Samus, but Samus is the main character, with Megaman and Z-suit Samus playable at the start. Z-suit Samus is quicker, but takes 2x damage from things.

All eight levels have 2 bosses each, all pulled from Mega Man 1-5, and each playable character gets power-ups when you defeat a boss. For example, Quickman would give Mega man Quick boomerang, and give Samus Hi-jump, and give Zero Suit Samus Quick Autocharge.

The levels would be non-linear like Metroid, with special routes that can be unlocked by gaining special abilities, and lots of hidden stuff, like E-tanks that behave like they do in Megaman X, a Map upgrade, Energy and Weapon Energy splitters, and other stuff.

Anyways, I figure this idea is to insane for me, but might just be possible if it was a collab hack. just putting this out there.

I must say that Iam very interested in this. May I ask, will other characters be added besides Proto Man, and will Proto Man and any other characters have their unique abilities?

I don't know if this is what you're going for, but I think this would be really cool as a base engine for people who want to make a new NES Mega Man game, so they could start with a mostly clean slate, instead of having to work and rearrange data that already exists within the vanilla game. Anyways whatever you do with this, I'm still totally excited

I think this will look pretty cool when it's finished, I'm excited to see an NES Mega Man game that actually adds new characters to play as

A dumb little idea I had, not really important, but I think it would look cool if the background in the player select screen was black and had the little stars effect like the stage intros in Mega Man 2. That's probably a bunch more work though...

I've been wondering, is the Red Piranha plant fix ever gonna be made for this hack? I've waited for more than a year bit it still hasn't got fixed.

I remember that the game sometimes freezes at the Famicom loading screen with SMB2J, and also the Red Piranha plants behave the exact same as the green counterparts, instead of being more aggressive.

Also with SMB3, I had a half-completed N-Spade game on the first file, but when I played on the second file it loaded the same half-conpleted N-spade game as from the first file.

And there's the guy who mentions losing the star on an SMB3 file just a few posts above.

I'm quite interested in seeing where this goes. Just one question: will this hack include the DLC levels and weapons from Megaman 9 and 10 (Fake Man's level and the levels and weapons for Enker, Punk, and Gallade)?

I don't think the MM10 DLC levels actually have amy story or anything, they're just new levels to play. Interestingly enough, I think you can use the weapons for the Megaman Killers in the main game, even from a new save file.

Also, out of curiousity, I have a few other questions.

-Will Mega Man's abilities be limited depending on what he could do in each game? (No sliding in 1 or 2, for example)
-Will Proto Man and Bass play exactly like in MM10?
-Will Proto Man, Bass, and Roll have the same set of abiliies no matter what game you play as them in?

I'd like to ask, if this hack will be widely customizable, will there also be an option as to which Charge shot Mega Man can use in each game (that is if you have an option to enable it in 1-3 and 9-10)? I'd love to rip through the Mega Man series with the grossly OP Mega Man 5 charge shot, I bet that would be a blast.

Sorry for bugging some more, but one final question: are you interested in adding in an endless mode like the ones in MM9//10? Such a huge set of levels and Robot Masters would probably make the game almost never get stale, especially with two players (and the option to customise your own perfect weapon set would make it even more fun).

Just a thought, although I'd understand if it wasn't possible.

I feel like this is an odd suggestion, but could it be possible to make an alternate way to access Mario Bros (like, say, beating one or two of the games makes the game show up on the game select menu)? This'd make it also accessable to people who maybe don't have a second controller or a way to use those inputs, instead of it just being just a hidden kinda-secret thing.

Just something I thought I'd point out.

If you were to put the Mega Man Killers as the new Wily Tower bosses, you could always make it so that beating them gives you yhe option to start any game file with their weapons already unlocked (just like with Mega Man 10, except I don't think it gives you an option as to whether or not you want those at the start in MM10)

Also Quint is sometimes considered to be a Mega Man Killer too, in case you wanted to include him and his weapon in your hack (Mega Man on a pogo stick lol)

Meta Knight

Samus without armor. Been trying to draw more women lately so I don't have problems with that sort of thing.
Overflow (from the new Ben 10)
Heatblast (from the original Ben 10). This is my first picture I've drawn using a nice pen for the line work and a sharpie for the inking.

Really proud of the last two ones tbh

Also thanks Red-Capped Hedgehog

If you can manage a way to fit all the NES Mega Man games into one cart (like the bootleg cart with but SRAM) I'd recommend going for a Mega Man Legacy Collection instead of just normal Wily Wars. It'd be especially awesome if it was made to save the E-tanks and extra lives gained too, it's so annoying how those aren't stored in the password after all.

Just my personal opinion, I figure it may be possible since the 6-in-1 cart exists anyways.
