How can I check my ROM is the correct checksum using MD5 or other method? I don't have a list with the GoodSet that contains them or anything.

Also, I think you're from the UK, because you said 'favourite'.

And no, I know I don't have to use Nestopia. It's funny though how you describe the gameplay going out of sync on VirtuaNES, though - what version of nestopia are you using? I heard the issue happens with 1.40 (http://atariage.com/forums/topic/235026-nestopia-140-recording-video/).

I use FCEUX almost exclusively.

If thats what you 2 want, why not pm blackhole and ask him to consider hosting it ?
Personally I'm not for it, and thats not how the banner represents this place in the least bit.

Yeah, you have a point, that banner is somewhat outdated anyway so the games on it aren't hacked as much as Megaman etc., the ones designed by you lot should be used over this one.

I think though some themes (or as Quick said about the past board2 times, on certain pages) could change the logo, like what you can do in ABXD. So we can submit more than one new banner.

Anything more retro as well, Googie?

I'm playing the Donkey Kong Land/Country games right now on the emulators.

Hm yes.

And the fact they don't bother looking at their copyright notices properly, or fixing any bugs you report. (The tag module was broken on dailymotion for about a few weeks, I sent them a ticket and it was fixed in the next two days.)

Indeed. I might try to get people to join dailymotion and upload stuff, although obviously the market isn't as wide, I noticed this: search 'Donkey Kong Land III' and most results are relevant to what you're searching (a walkthrough by 'DixieKong1995', nearly all of it in the first page).

The people at school say dailymotion is the scrub's video site. It's not, because the video quality is much better retained to the original video on higher quality clips.

What if multiple banners were uploaded and then we would let the user pick which one he wants via the user control panel? Is that a bad idea?

That isn't a bad idea, suggest it to blackhole89 if you like - hopefully he sees this thread.

It doesn't seem like it'd be worth it IMO - there's already tons of hacks, resources, and info on wikis like TCRF and SMWCentral's wiki, not to mention SMWCentral itself.

Like someone else said, the only real use that I can see this having is data on the community history and drama and whatnot, though I would personal still be kind of interested in that

We could just put that as a 'Board2 History' page.

I suggested a wiki because of all this 'board2 is dead' crap. You can also check my other suggestions in the 'board2 activity suggestions' thread or whatever it's called, if you want to submit anything go on!

Yeah, I could do that. However the last time I touched MediaWiki I found it only a massive pain in the arse.

I don't know of any other wikis which aren't so complicated. (And I don't use Wikia because that's just plain laziness)

They were good... I prefer the DKC games though, but the first games show how the series evolved from Donkey Kong to the SNES DKC.

Rare did an amazing job with reviving the series, in my opinion, I always held that opinion.

It probably comes to the fact that the AVI problem occured to me. Perhaps your copy of 1.40 hasn't got the bug (maybe the 1.40 on some other sites isn't the proper one).

I like Nestopia's extremely accurate emulation when it wasn't that old (I don't think it was as long developed as other emulators at the time when the last release was made)... however I don't understand why there hasn't been a release for 7 years or so - 1.40 was made in 2008, I believe, and it's open-source, so how has there been nothing in more than 5 years? (You could say the same about ZSNES though)

I do like its accuracy, but for some reason I prefer FCEUX, even though its roots are from FCE Ultra, which apparantly the source of that, was crap. But FCEU is also a good NES emulator despite being outdated now.

Are there any things for Donkey Kong Country (preferably DKC1 and DKC2)? I'm pretty interested to hack those, although I wouldn't see the point given the quality of the games in the first place.

(I'm considering making a hack of DKC1 some time which features Dixie Kong and new stuff)

Anything?

Seek him out for the info. http://mattrizzle.pac.am/

I'll go and check his board. I don't visit YouTube or any other acmlmboard anymore besides this one and xeogaming.

Anyway since I'm interested in DKC I'll go and check the board out - is there any hacking tools for DKC2 in particular? I don't feel like wading over forum threads right now that's why I ask.

We did, just look earlier in this thread

This is so very informative! I had absolutely no idea! Please, tell me more!

We need to have one spam thread open on this board just to take the piss out of their idiotic spam, a bit like with the Fresh and Valid Dumps thread that was unfortunately trashed.

By the way, does anyone want my passwords?

Are there any music values which are not called by the game?

That sounds like a nice option that would allow a user to further customize their profile's settings and environment, but how feasible would it be for blackhole89 to implement such a feature, would he consider it worth it, and how much more processing work for the board would it be?

What we need is a [user=ID] tag so that we don't need all that garbage in your post when you quote it, just to write 'blackhole89'.

But it might be hard to code, it might be easier to just make them part of themes or something (and make some new themes, that reflect on what this site hacks mostly)

I know of that site.

Of course, if you're going to do a bootleg games wiki, you must include the most common form of bootleg games.

Where could I get AcmlmBoard 1.A3 and 1.B0 which are referenced in the Acmlm I2 versions?

1.A2 is available for download, does anybody have the two versions referenced though?

Just wondering. If they're really buggy and bad... I probably don't care...

I have them handy

Do they contain any fixes to prevent SQL injections or anything? I don't know the vulnerabilities of these versions of AcmlmBoard, because nobody seems to have used them on any site.

What do you mean? Passwords for what? Your accounts? You should never share your passwords.

It's referring to when I hacked Minecrafter4718's Xbox account to change one letter in his bio, he flipped out.

At school somebody took another's medication and had a panic attack, what's more unlawful, changing a letter in a bio to fix something, or somebody doing drug-dealing (not illegal drugs, but the pair of them are stupid, the one offering it was stupid and the one who took it has no brain).

I would make a rough template but wouldn't know what ROM hacks to feature, so we have an idea on what to do.

I've only been here since late 2014 and wasn't really interested in the site until this August so I'm not sure what you particularly like, most people here have been around since 2007-2008.

What are the best hacks to feature in the board banner, though? Suggestions.

Alright, what versions do they require? I have every revision of the ROMs in my set.

Since the tools were made in Japanese I might use the Japanese 1.0 ROMs, but I intend to use one of the European dumps of DKC games.

@Mike-Tech Yep. I just didn't have much time when I posted that, and then just forgot to look around yesterday.
