EZBoards appears to be one of those free forum makers (and a subdomain for Forumotion.com), so it wouldn't be archived on a hosting server. You're talking about early 00's when the Wayback Machine wasn't invented, I guess.

@QC: OK, I'll be watching.

I thought you would have an account at a video site, then again, you probably KNOW, that one in particular (called YouTube) is biased and annoying. Heck, it has results for 'Termin's Plains' but not if you add 'Custom Level', despite those two words being in the title and the tags.

Whole reason I use Dailymotion over YouTube to generally watch things, is because its search results are much more relevant and match better what I write in the box, even if there's much less videos. However that gives us more of a reason to upload.

Also, where did your name come from? It sounds cool, I guess 'Quick' comes from your hack, but what about 'Curly'?

I can see your point. Obviously there's less content on Dailymotion, which means you'll probably want to upload more stuff - plus the fact it's more centred on videos is probably a better idea. Also, less haters. Quite a few people 'emigrated' to DM from YT after getting tired of pointless and crappy comments, and being 'hidden' in search results. Also generally the service is far better quality videos (retains them better than the Tube, but not quite as good as Vimeo).

The bad thing is that guests won't get as much. Also, don't forget, Dailymotion is less bugged up than YouTube - basically, it tends to work more often - even their app on iPad prove that clearly lol. I haven't uploaded anything to my own account yet but might do so in the future (probably my custom levels).

Yes, that is my channel. All I seem to upload there is whatever levels of SMW I'm making. I believe I've got a headstart in level design with Mario Builder and SMBX, and I've picked up Lunar Magic level design quickly (designing a few decent/good levels after a day of reading tutorials for the software). Obviously, I haven't got the skill of the experienced user, but I'm bothering to make a decent level, even if they are pretty linear and keep being toned down so I can complete them in videos. However I try to keep the 'harder' version in the downloads, with a few bug fixes. (Sometimes there might be an untested bug shown in a video, but I address it for the download, such as in my last level - Golden Cave - the secret exit is impossible to get to, but it's fixed with a few note blocks).

Thanks!

Oh the save function has been fixed so now you can save on the cart or in game.

How do you mean? I'm a bit confused by 'on the cart' and 'in-game', aren't they the same thing, sort of?

I checked out Golden Cave. It looked pretty cool. I'm not familiar with SMW hacking, and I've never bothered with it since so many countless people already hack the game. Any idea why the plants had fish graphics mixed in with them?

It's because the graphics weren't coded properly: the stem is supposed to borrow from another tileset (the one Vanilla Dome 2 uses) but Nintendo fucked it up rendering the fish stem error, they even tried to fix it themselves but still didn't work. It's possible to correct it with ExGFX hacking of the sprites, but I don't understand that.

Thanks, anyway.

SMW hacking is fun thanks to the Lunar Magic tool, even a moron could use it. Hey, I can use it, so that proves my point.

Would you rather be rich or famous?

Rich. I wouldn't want to be famous, because usually
a) you're only famous for a while
b) you're overhyped in the media, and I hate the bloody UK media
c) idiots go mad at ya and will be annoying

Also most famous people don't care about their fans at all, really. If I was rich, I could pay for good hosting and a good website, things like that. And don't forget, I could have a car like an Aston Martin DB9 or something, if I'm famous, usually not so much.

I would also be nice: my site wouldn't have popup ads and bloated rubbish; more like the Project Wonderful ads which aren't annoying (obviously not earning as much as popups but being a nuisance on your site doesn't help you get visitors)

I use AVG Free Edition 2015 and also Malware Bytes Anti-Malware.

Since Avast crashed for other users besides the 'SysAdmin' account (I use this for safely installing software and system setups), I used AVG/MBAM.

I played a lot of both, but I'm probably better hacking a SNES game, as I don't particularly understand what system limitations actually are.

(also why is there a 77th page with nothing on it)

I would need MySQL and FTP first, or I can't use the admin panel.

I'd make some secret forums available again - and make some new ones - like the Forum Games and Programming forums (subforums to Spatula and Technology respectively).

Promote a few people, I don't know who.

Fix the Online Users so Guests and Bots have no IP shown, since some people tend to post without being logged in (e.g. Mike-Tech) that way concealing the IP from idiots.

Do other stuff.

NOTE: I am aware that this thread was very wide. I disabled my layout for this reason. And, this is the 30,000th post in General Chat!

Unlike ABXD and BlargBoard, AcmlmBoard layout system a bit simpler than those.

Start like this for the post header:
<style type="text/css">#ThePost{}

The brackets hold the css data in them. Separate different CSS value with a ; and a space before using the new one, no return (enter) key will work here. You can customise shit there, examples includes:

background: maroon url("http://nsmbhd.net/themes/gold/post.png") repeat;

Here, colour is 'maroon' and url defined to an image. This mean, that there is a backup if the URL does not load. repeat makes the background repeat. There are more background values you can use, I am not listing them.

border: 1em ridge #FFA500;

Creates a post border. This looks nice. Use 'px' or 'em' and a hex colour code. Types of border include: solid, dotted, ridge, and rounded.

padding:50px; font-size:0.938em; font-family:sans-serif; color:#fff, text-align:center;

Padding does something to the alignment of the text. Font size should be done in em and not px: users will be able to resize your post text if you use em sizes instead of px.

REMEMBER TO ALWAYS USE FALLBACK FONTS IN YOUR LAYOUT! If you wish to - like I did - put serif or sans-serif so the user can decide what default font is used instead of ugly Times New Roman. A good idea is to use something like Frutiger, Lucida Sans Unicode, sans-serif - so that if Frutiger and Lucida Sans Unicode do not exist on the system (e.g. on dictatorish iPads) then a user's specified font can still be used!

Colour is the font colour. Text align is duh.

When you're done, make a new value called #PostFooter (no enter key remember) and make the css for that, and finish it with a closing style tag.

After closing the style tag, put this:

In the post footer box, add
</div><div id="PostFooter">~~~Your Text Goes Here!~~~</div>
. This time you CAN use enter key in your signature!

So your post layout should look like this:

HEADER:
<style type="text/css">#ThePost{background-color:maroon; background:url("http://nsmbhd.net/themes/gold/post.png") repeat; border:1em ridge #FFA500; padding:50px; font-size:15px; font-family:sans-serif; color:#fff; text-align:center;} #PostFooter{background-color:navy; background: url("http://nsmbhd.net/themes/gold/forms.png") repeat; border:1em ridge #FFA500; padding:50px; font-size:15px; font-family:sans-serif; color:#fff; text-align:center;}</style><div id="ThePost">

FOOTER:

</div><div id="PostFooter">~~~Your Text Goes Here!~~~<div>

----------------------

If it does, nice, it should work!
Remember this is only the BASICS of making a post layout. I haven't stated much about CSS values, only the basics that were used in my own layout. Look at a CSS value list for all the possibilities. This is mainly for people that don't know much about CSS at all, if you know a bit of it then you won't need this!

(Note to Moderators/Admins: you can fix any of this if necessary!)

Hopefully it made sense to you.

Things like:

Apache OpenOffice
NeoOffice
LibreOffice

----------
I'm actually running the old Oracle Open Office (3.3, the last stable Oracle version) which was known for causing LibreOffice and NeoOffice to be made, thanks to some dodgy decisions from Oracle.

It works though and the reason I decided to get this outdated thing was because it's the one I am used to most...

Yep. Board2 Members, you will know these are by Kyoc0614 (who's been spamming them bot-like, even though they're not his), but these are the patch versions.

(And this game is the best example of ZSNES being an absolute arse at accuracy of emulation. Use Higan (recommended) or Snes9x instead.)

I prefer to use Mupen64++. I've always liked the Mupen64* emulators, which run perfectly on a netbook with 1GB of RAM on XP, and have decent graphics and sound output.

Don't forget that it can use plugins (there aren't many and there isn't a cheat one yet that works, but blarg), too. AND it's portable to many systems.

The emulator list comes from emulator-zone.com as I don't know too many emulators myself... enjoy emulator talk for N64!!

Note: polls are not working. Please vote, but we won't be able to see the results until blackhole fixes it (if he does).

Normally there are 20 replies per page, but when there are deleted spam posts, I believe that messes with the detected count or something. It would seem so, anyway.

It does that when you nuke a user on ABXD too. Because it doesn't alter the page or last poster counter in the database.

Maybe a user was nuked (if this is possible).

Heh. I've never minded the IPs being visible through Online Users.

Hmm. What should my 1200th post be?

I meant about security purporses... lol

I don't know. Maybe a milestone thread in the Some Other Threads Lost forum? Some old users did that. Or maybe a special post with a new mood avatar that you only use on big milestones.

Or one of your in-depth posts when you help someone or point something important out.

Ask as many questions as you like.

1: Not really... except, this Sunday is special because of how many posts have been made on board2 (over 60 posts today is pretty good for what people call 'dead')

Wow, 30,000 posts. When you think about it that is quite a lot.

My post layout guide created the milestone, which is nice.
