Well, what could happen is the table tags could be made to not work around here anymore. At least, not in posts.
But then we'd lose layouts, so I'm conflicted. |

I worked Saturday, then that night I played Warcraft III until about 4 in the morning, then repeated the process after sleeping all day Sunday.
Now, I'm coding in Scheme. |

For those of you who don't know, Digipen Institute of Technology usually releases freeware versions of the games their students develop. On that token, I'm a very big fan of Brigades, which is a well-developed demo of a game involving blowing up your opponents, and using their parts to augment your own army. The action is fast-paced, if a little buggy, and if someone released the source code for it it would definitely be able to become something very nice. |

ROM Hacking:
Not to be confused with roh macking, a completely different subject. Gaming: Where your level of elitism is inversely proportional to the number of your favorite Final Fantasy game. Entertainment: Find out how big the rock you were living under is in here. Programming: public void progForum(){ System.out.println("Discuss.");} //end progForum ?????'s Corner: There MIGHT be girls in here. Story Forum: Where your sword really CAN be that huge. Officer's Club: The GOOD OC, as opposed to the REAL OC. |

Buying white grape-flavored water from Wal-mart.
Oh, sure, all of the other flavors are deliciously fine, but white grape is epic fail. |

Wow. I'm impressed.
You know, Clock, your art style has actually really evolved. It used to be blocky and too sketchy to make anything good out of, but now it actually looks pretty epic. |

I second Tarale's nomination -- she's sufficiently mature for the forum.
And she's sufficiently "mature" for the forum, too. |

Nah, it's all good. His knowledge of the future will become moot once his influence is wrought upon this timeline -- that way, it'll cancel itself out.
Or create some kind of huge paradox, I dunno. In any case, until we do the real RPG, I'd be glad to see Mr. Kattwah bring back The Squares... |

Well, I'm still of the theory that all of the emulators are built into the Wii, downloadable as software updates. It just seems like Nintendo would be semi-lazy like that. Plus, I don't think they'd want someone to take up unnecessary hard-drive space with a separate instance of the emulator each time they develop it. That'd be like having the SNES, N64, Genesis, etc -- all of those system's "operating systems" inside of your Wii, just taking up space. |

Clockworkz, I know you don't like video game music, but you should give The Magical Trick Society a shot -- they do remixes of certain games, but they don't just pump them out wantonly.
It's what I've been listening to, lately -- Xk pointed me to their remix of the Phoenix Wright soundtrack, and I can't get enough of certain songs on there. Aside from that, I've also (thanks to Guitar Hero) rekindled my love affair with Guns and Roses, which I remember is one of my favorite bands ever. Can't remember if they were one of the jillion bands to cover The Rolling Stones, though. I know they covered Sympathy for the Devil (like everyone else out there), but I've been looking to see if they did Jumping Jack Flash, as well. And whoa, Crocodile Rock. And Clock, one more thing -- Everybody listens to Dragonforce. |

I own Guitar Hero II, and as I'm sure most of IRC knows, I've been playing it religiously since christmas. Sadly, I can only do Hard mode at the immediate moment... Passed Beast and the Harlot today, though.

The slums were burning. Christoph could feel the heat around him as he stared down the arrogant teenager whose sneer haunted his vision...
--------------- The educational system in Ximes had changed significantly for the better in recent times -- Less destructive magic was being taught, and an advocacy of control of magical use, as opposed to abstinence, was widely advocated throughout the city and its surrounding counties. Creationism, they called it. Using magic to build a better world, instead of using it to annihilate your fellow man. A Grad student at the Ximes University, Chris had never envisioned himself in a situation like this; It was here that he learned that the school in no way prepared him for any kind of danger surrounding magic, instead taking its idealistic view of the system and pumping him full of knowledge about windmills and glass-cutting. It'd figure -- so much for destruction, every single one of his professors had been a Creationist. Of course, there still existed electives and clubs for graduate studies in truly destructive magick, as opposed to the run-of-the-mill Arts and Sciences degrees, but recent legislation had outlawed their use in large part. The balance of power simply tipped too far to the left and right when force was used to control the masses. But in times like this, Christoph couldn't help but see just how wrong the authorities were... --------------- The older man cursed under his breath as he drew a small knife out of his pocket... The teenager eyed the knife through a pair of shimmering sunglasses, and grinned. ???: "A knife, eh? Going to stab me? Hope you're not considering trying Blood magic, now... You and I both know that that's illegal in Ximes, after all." Christoph: "And stealing an Industrial Lifting Glove, attacking a citizen, and setting a slum on fire isn't? You're just a little punk. Magic shouldn't be used that way... Not to hurt people." The teenager raised an eyebrow. This guy was making him feel a little desperate... Christoph turned the knife towards himself, and felt his eye twitch slightly as he prepared for the sting. The teenager staggered backward, and feigned calmness. ???: "Hey, whoa now! Practice what you preach, man! I... I ain't got time to deal with this now. Just get your facts straight. I ain't got nothing to do with setting this place on fire, and this glove..." He raised his left fist, encased by a roughly-sewn leather glove that reeked of sloppily-applied magic, and continued his fearful plea. "...It's mine. Take a look at the shoddy casting on it! And why would a standard industrial glove be a lefty? And hey! If it IS mine, which I can tell you it is, how could I have started any of this?" Christoph gripped his knife in a rapidly sweating hand. The kid was right. If he was an enchanter, it wasn't too likely he'd have the capacity to just hurl fireballs left and right, like the scene appeared as. He hesitated. The teenager watched for his cue, and there was a quick pump of leg muscles as the boy sprang up and out of the burning streets, his boots carrying him high into the air and safely onto a rooftop. 'Dammit all...' Christoph thought as the boy ran away. Standing among the flames, he placed his knife back into his pocket, and ran a hand through the dark mess of hair on his head. Of course, his absent-minded anger at the conflict that had just arisen had for the moment relieved him of his ability to think rationally. Instead of focusing on the fact that he was standing amidst a magical inferno as the only possible perpetrator of the event in the eyes of the local authorities, Christoph contemplated why that kid had tried to jump him in the first place. Naturally, his troubles had only just begun... |

I'm more into the Burger King side of the duel... McDonald's hasn't done anything for me since I was 13.
But Subway, hoooly crap is that stuff good. My girlfriend used to work there, though... Said something about how horrible the vegetables they use in their food are. Doesn't stop me from eating them, though. Now, as for real restaurants, there are a few I'll go eat at around here in RI. --The Seven Moons - Real oriental food here. Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, and none of it is slathered in meat or MSG. It was here that I discovered how delicious eel is, and they have the best curried chicken soup around. --The Pizza Pocket - Calzones, but it's fun to call them Pizza Pockets. It's pizza, in a pocket! More impressively, there are like 100 different varieties of them, including my personal favorite, The Kitchen Sink. It's a completely random assortment of fillings, so you never know what you'll end up with. And at less than five bucks a pop, you can't really go wrong. --Chelo's - Just a bar and grille, but it's a chain here in RI that extends from the top of the state to the bottom, along the bay. I'll tell you this -- they have the best damn chowder in the state, and the burgers aren't half-bad either. There are more, but those three are my current tops. Can't really think of anything else at the immediate moment, either... |

Posted by drjayphd I live NEAR it. Kingston. BWAH. Though I generally stay out of Connecticut. I don't like it very much, for irrational reasons I can't be bothered to explain and have no justification for. |

I could totally do it.
But I like the way Cymoro is running things now. It suggests to me that he's pushing for a fresh start there, too. |
