Hi brand new to this forum and hacking as well, I love LS and have done some pretty cool things with it, but I want to make Mario switchable from the switch menu the same as the rest of the characters is this possible?

New question is there a way to stop retaining experience when you die? Stars are fun but way to easy to abuse.

For part of my hack that Im doing I added some Luigi sprites to the game but i heard the rom was quite full and you would have to overwrite other sprites so I swapped the unused emey Harlequin for my Luigi.

This worked great till I got to Boosters tower and the juggler was just a glitch mess, so my question is what sprites can be overwritten whithout affecting the vanilla game?

Unfortunatly those all seem to be connected to their in game palette swaps. Everythig I overwrite affects something else.

Two steps first in the main menu go to levels search the map you want from the search bar at the top, after you loaded your map you'll see a tiny icon with a depiction of toad (its right under the event# at the top) that icon will load the NPC's on the map click on the monster you want to change then on the left side you'll see the NPC # scroll up and down through the npc's till you find the one you want.

that will only change it on the map step two is right underneath change the pack number to the number corresponding to the map enemy group you want, there are two ways to find the group you want either in the formations section from the main menu or go to a map where you know an enemy produces the group you want click on their npc in the levels section and see what pack # they are set to.

that all probably seems like alot to take in but just do it one thing at a time let me know how it plays out

Just wondering if anyone knows how to:

Make an accessory increase Mario's jump height \run speed

Leave the island while still riding Yoshi? (Just for aesthetic reasons)

Changing address c36275 in hirom to 00 enables you to swap Mario out of the party, but whoever replaces him uses their own graphics on the maps, which causes a crash anytime they lack the appropriate animation, is there anyway to swap Mario but still use his graphics on the map?
