Isn't the fact Acmlm hasn't been posting much, a point of humor around here?

The ROM Hack Domain was online when I first joined the boards, though updates were rare by that time. NESticle had just started to decline in popularity too.

I miss all that mystery surrounding Femine. FuSoYa is rarely seen anymore either (partly because the host for his site shut down a few weeks ago)...

Edit: Oh, yeah. I did hear mention of that. It was fun while it lasted at least.

It's neat how the new and original graphics don't clash too much. The sprite palettes look quite faithful to those characters' standard artwork also.

Uh, a SMW hack with a plot? I didn't make one for mine until after like 5 years into development...

I get Smackdown, no Raw. Stupid TV provider has those two channels in different packages.

It's amazing how much wrestling related things changed in 2001. One of the then-WWF's biggest ticket drawing Wrestlemanias ever, along with WCW/ECW going under, yet both the Invasion storyline and that XFL get botched.

While I'm glad not too many career-but-not-life-ending injuries are happening lately, the death rate remains higher than it should be. Guys like Benoit and Big Boss Man who didn't have major public signs of a problem...

I admit the inability to code, despite a little admin experience. Tinkering in Acmlmboard on my server didn't get far. User registration was broken.

A possible overall issue with AB-based forums is that virtually anyone can start however many they want, and make their changes proprietary. The number of old, yet well-known, exploits doesn't help either.

[sarcasm] NO WAI without O RLY or YA RLY? For shame! *Owl shakes head* [/sarcasm]

Cheesecake is my favorite. A lot of pies are pretty good too, but I don't like standard cakes much.

Which reminds me. How is development going?

IIRC... The reason I haven't been hacking Pokemon games lately is because of incomplete features or noticeable bugs in editors by various authors. Last I recall, the map tile layout for Route 22 and 23 aren't supported by Red/Blue programs.

Needless to say, the fact that Ruby alone has at least 5 dumps when you count revisions and different languages, let alone Sapphire/FR/LG/Emerald certainly doesn't make it easier. It's difficult to find the exact ROM most utilities want.

"tits"? No thank you. We shouldn't let this board get flooded beyond recognition with sexual and homoerotic nonsense also.

Now, tendonitis on the other hand... I haven't been hit with it, but the amount I use a mouse or whatever concerns me.

Bah... Sony must be nuts. Ten years is very difficult to achieve! I'll try to make a list of what did and didn't on some systems, between the first regional launch and final licensed retail commercial game for any region's version of them.

Famicom/NES: July 1983 to December 1994 = Yes.
SFC/SNES: November 1990 to sometime in 1999 or early 2000 = No.
PSX/PSone: December 1994 to October 2004 = No.
Dreamcast: November 1998 to sometime in 2006 or 2007 = No.
Original Game Boy: April 1989 to sometime in 2000 or 2001: Yes.

I'm pretty sure the Atari VCS/2600 and home (not counting arcade) Neo Geo games lasted over ten years too.

I find it funny some people in Europe refer to their versions of handheld or PC games as PAL, since it's usually a misnomer in technical terms. Good thing software for such platforms is often region-free.

To think I've never even seen the Pacific Ocean. Its too far for binoculars. The Olympic Peninsula is between it and me.

77 first incarnation.
88 in second.
28 in third. This backup says 27, but a few of my posts were lost when it's "other" archive was taken down.
24 so far here.

How about the actual content... It's a tax site. You don't like saving money on taxes? Wow.

The one area Sony has been vastly ahead on a few times is storage capacity. But it only matters if used well. An N64 port of Final Fantasy 7, 8, or 9 would've been cut down a lot. Now for the facts part:

PSone had ten times more per disc than N64, and unlike N64 could use as many as developers wanted. ~650MB+ vs. 64MB.

Similarly, PSP discs hold ten times the DS's current maximum. While no multi-disc game has been made that I'm aware of, PSP should be capable of it unlike DS. ~1.5GB vs. 128MB.

Basically... That FAQ was old and going to be rewritten, but didn't get anywhere so we later just scrapped it.

Hmm... I've been here since 2001, it'll be six years next month. I arrived for ROM hacking info. Then branching into other stuff. Such as a wiki, blog, etc.

Also tinkered in Acmlmboard a little. Just for fun, as my actual forums using a different codebase are running well to this day. User registration didn't work when I tried AB, but I'd became admin on another somewhat experimental one.

I'm sort of forgotten much of the time, despite being around fairly long. I intend to build recognition by improving my projects. And learn how to correctly promote them.

With that said, expect me to remain at my favorite online place for good. Although it may not be under "theclaw". I've slowly gotten bored of that old name.
