I apologize for bumping, but I feel as is this site might be a bit better if it was mainly focused on rom hacking, as it seems that that forum gets the most love.

I want to make a mega man 4 hack with new bosses and stuff, kinda to make it look like a homebrew MM game.

Huh. Oddm the thread preview shows that bpth u anr I have deleted posts. ..anyway, thanks xD prepare for Fusion Surge!!

Ph and um...any dosbox way I can recolor the boss palettes? Like to change airman from blue to green? Also, how do I edit the boss text? Like when yoy select a boss, it says thr name.

Edit: ack! The set affected the entire level!

Screenie of my WIP hack. (Huh. Html code DOES work)
The Get Equipped With and Weapon names are all in ASCII format, save for the spaces which are read as @.

However, this still changes to Heatmans Palette and the Blue when charging up changes to red? How can I fix this?

Directory of Hack and TXT file

I decided to do a thread of my WIP hack of Mega Man 2 entiled "Fusion Surge". Unlike "The Forgotten Bot 2", I actually have opened up a Hex Editor and NESticle to be a bit better at hacking. The levels are*mostly* different than the orginal.

For version -XX.999, only Trash Man and Flare Man have been edited, thus -XX.999 is called "Hot Metal".

There are things I want to do that I dont know how to do such as:

*Change the Y-Pos on the Boss is Selected screen.

*Change how the weapons act (Make Triad Tornado as described in text file, Nature Wheel to act like Hell Wheel, etc.)

*Add some NSF files that I have from a great composer.

*Fix that DR.LIGHT screen!

*Have the boss battle music play when you face Flare Man.

*Change the Charge Shot sounds to power up sounds from MM5. Graphics as well.
(Charge Shot is OP.)

If anyone can lend me their skills kindly, I'd apprecitate it xD
You need a clean Mega Man 2 rom to patch this up and play. Bugs will be fixed as I go along... all the known bugs are in the readme file.

Im such a freaking idiot! The ips patch I uploaded was to an already patched rom!!

I fixed it up now. Go ahead and download. Orbit Man is in progress, and Sticky Bomb is renamed to Planet Bomb.
