Pretty new to romhacking, but just a question - does anyone know where the hexes...pointers...whatever (don't know what they're called; for example, $C602) are for the weapons in MM3? I've seen some small documentation of Hard Knuckle, and to a much lesser extent Shadow Blade, Magnet Missile and Search Snake in kuja killer's documents, but no dice for the others. I'd like to modify multiple parts of the weapons, but the thing most important to me is the weapon's speed. Thanks in advance.

I'm having trouble with the door editor in MegaFleX. I'm almost done with Gemini Man's level in my MM3 hack, but no matter what I try the door refuses to open. The guide included didn't help very much.

The first gate is located on screen 19 with screen preset 14 in scroll map position A with scroll type A. The hallway is located on screen 1A with screen preset 15 and scroll map position C with scroll type 2.

The Scroll Map positions must follow each other. If C comes after A, it's clear that the scroll of the map will end, because Scroll Map B is missing. So the Hallway should be located on screen 1A, with screen preset 15, scroll map position B with Right×$1, type 2. Scroll Position B may be blank, meaning it has no length, so it skips to C, and that's why it isn't working.

The door now works. Thanks!

MM's regular buster shooting speed is at $3d166 in the ROM, and it looks like the speed of at least magnet, needle, spark, shadow, and gemini are all affected if you change that.


Missed your post, sorry. The only real thing I need to change is Spark Shock's speed, and it looks like it's going to be more complicated than just some hex editing to do that. Does anyone have a solution to this?

I need some help with the FCEUX debugger.

On page 27 are some hex values for the energy deduction for MM5 weapons, and I'm trying to use kujakiller's steps to find the value for the energy reduced when Mega Man is on the Super Arrow. However, while I believe I've found the routine, I can't seem to find the hex value that CPU adress
0E:B5F2
is getting the #$01 from. I've tried Step Into with the "shoot the arrow" part of Super Arrow's energy deduction but it didn't take me to the hex value listed in the post. I'm sorry if I'm sounding like an idiot, but what am I doing wrong?

On another note, is it possible to make it so you start with Super Arrow, and if you can't, is it possible to switch Rush Coil and Super Arrow?
