Fucking hell people, you're making it worse. We're supposed to make a GOOD theme. Now start fixing your posts
This is the kind of crap you get when a bunch of random people all throw their own code into a theme.

I mean like being able to insert data in whatever free spot is available and update the pointers, or move data without having a copy of it in the patch (e.g. for NES expansion), or support multiple versions whose pointers are in different places. Most of these features would probably be of more use for small hacks in which you'd create the patch by hand.

I found a spelling mistake in Mario Party 3. Check out Toad's sound test. Really, how does something like that slip through quality control?

That would be awesome to have attached to that You Are an Idiot flash page.

Too bad I forgot the address.

Wait, why is everyone discouraging him? I thought half the people here wanted a new editor with proper support for custom blocks and custom sprites and everything.

If this gets far enough, it can be that editor.

And with that said, good luck.
Well that was for the SNES version, but I know a lot of people at one time wanted some sort of GBA version editor. (And if it's open-source, it can be hacked to work with both. )

SMA4 editing would be cool too, but that's another project.

If the directory's name is longer than 8 letters or has a space in it, type in the first 6 letters (skip spaces) and then ~1 for it. For instance, C:\Super Nintendo would become C:\Supern~1.
Or use quotes:
cd "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\lol a big long directory with spaces in its name"

You can softmod a few different ways. Actually, I've been trying to myself, but can't find a USB device the piece of crap AR Max will read from. Anyone know any besides PSP?

Keep in mind if you don't change the scripts, you'll have to work around them, which limits what you can design. You really should start by thinking of a storyline, sketching out some rough designs of what the world map might look like, then go about designing your maps and writing/editing scripts to suit them.

As for clearing the maps, if the editor doesn't have a built-in method, just draw over all the tiles and move all the events into a corner or delete them.

The people behind HDLoader apparently just took a homebrew app, pressed it on a disc, and called it their own. So not only are you supporting crooks by buying them, but you also can't upgrade, or so I'm told.

AR Max would probably be the easiest method if it actually supported any USB devices - copy a file to your device, copy it to the memory card with AR, put in a PSX game. It doesn't work on newer firmware versions though (AFAIK, none of the slim ones and a few of the big ones have these versions). The trick is finding a device the damn thing will read from. Also, for some reason, mine reboots in PAL mode when I use the memory card manager so I had to dig up an old black and white TV with a vertical hold control to use it.

(Before anyone asks: though I don't buy from Sony, I have no problem buying used Sony products, since they don't make any money from those sales. )

Yeah, I was always the same way. I had my computer and what I did with it was strictly my business. My mom and my brother had their own and I was always the one to fix it.

HydraPheetz, BTW, love the custom title.
[edit] Whoops, you changed it.

That image is a 1x1 image of NOTHING.

Not if you set "imalbum.aufeminin.com" to "Forge" in RefControl (or just view the image and hit Ctrl+F5).

Anyway, we need to make up for Pancake Man's retina-burning post, so...

No, wait, that's a girl cat. k...

I'm trying to stick to tasteful pictures, not the almost-porn stuff you usually associate with catgirls.

Yeah, this is way too bright. Also, <link rel> for external stylesheets = fail, but I guess you can't do much better at the moment.

In other news, not really a staff update, but I disabled the fucking <style> tag after someone broke the living shit out of his post with it.

Combine that with all the various problems with it recently, and feh, good bye.

Funny, that screenshot looks fine to me. I mean the text colours needed tweaking, and the image didn't fill the entire left column sometimes for some reason, but besides that...

Not like someone couldn't have simply removed the code (which they did, and didn't bother to so much as leave an explanation).

[edit]

(7:25:05 PM) Hyp3rHax0r: so...
(7:25:12 PM) Hyp3rHax0r: http://xkeeper.shacknet.nu:5/docs/phucked.jpg just what exactly is broken here?
(7:25:25 PM) Xkeeper NaN: the whole post background? nearly unreadable?
(7:25:39 PM) Hyp3rHax0r: yeah, I know that needed to be darkened
(7:26:01 PM) Xkeeper NaN: and rest assure
(7:26:05 PM) Xkeeper NaN: you were not the only reason I nuked
