DSLinux, yes, but it's a bit of a PITA. You need the extra RAM to actually do anything. DSOrganize has a browser and IRC, but both are fairly lacking in features. The browser doesn't have a way to save files, view images, etc, and the IRC client doesn't log. |

Still 11:17 here, and I should be in bed by now. Damn you internets!
Hmm... there needs to be a separate filter for "internets". It looks silly with the s not being part of the image. Posted by CKY-2KIf by metal you mean music then: so there. |

Over 9000?Posted by XkeeperThis is even funnier if you happen to know that CSS is the name for the useless encryption used on DVDs. Funny in that it makes no sense. |

I'm not sure that beats my SMW hack that added cement blocks over all the holes, 3up moons everywhere, and deleted or trapped pretty much all of the enemies. |

That's exactly what I was planning to do in my Metroid 2 hack if I ever get around to making a Metroid 2 hack. |

Heh, I've considered setting up something like this myself. It must be murder on bandwidth though. |

Hm, but in the game, King Bob-omb doesn't appear on act 6. |

The only thing that bugs me about this program is the little ad in the corner keeps coming back every time you open it. I need to get around to writing something to fix that. Still, tens of thousands of times better than Adobe's bloated piece of crap. |

Leet hax.
Hm, looks like act 6 uses whatever act you haven't beaten yet. If you get #6 first, King Bob-omb is still there, and once you beat him, go to #6 again and Koopa The Quick will be there instead. I didn't get a chance to see what happens if you e.g. get #6, then one besides #1, and play #6 again, because it doesn't seem possible in level 1. You need #1 to get #2, you need #2 to open the cannons, and you need the cannons to get #3 (on the island), #4 (red coin on the island) and #5 (shoot from the island). :-/ |

XP's wireless networking SUCKS. In my experience, if it doesn't connect to the network automatically when you refresh the list, it isn't going to. I think you have to click the star or whatever to make it a preferred network though. |

Hm, I didn't know flash carts had that feature now. (But do they let you play with the backlights and/or sound off? ) Anyway the point is to let you configure all aspects of the hardware before launching a file. For example you can turn backlights on/off individually, adjust brightness, turn the sound system off, choose which CPU has priority/access to the various slots, just about anything you can think of. Originally the point was just to add borders in GBA mode (I think it was the first or second program to do so), then I expanded it to launch DS code as well, mainly because DSOrganize has no light controls.
The most useful feature is probably the Quick Boot menu. You make entries in an INI file that specify the name and path of a program (which can also be the GBA/DS card, or nothing if you just want to apply settings without launching anything) as well as whatever settings you want to use (backlights off, main screen on top, etc). Then in the Quick Boot menu you just choose one of the entries and it launches with the specified settings immediately. I can have DSOrganize running with the lights off within 5 seconds of turning the system on, and that includes the ~1 second it takes for Flashme/GBAMP to start up. (The program itself takes just under a second.) I intend to make this process even quicker by allowing hotkeys to be defined as well. E.g. hold Up while turning the system on and it will launch one program, Left launches another, etc. No more fiddling around with menus. And of course you can do nice things like turn off the sound for programs that don't use it but leave it on (or GBA mode), control the lights, use borders in GBA mode, etc. A sort of secondary goal is for it to be one of the most compatible loaders, and it gets this by allowing so much control over the system. Maybe this old program assumes the main screen will be on the bottom or doesn't like having the ARM7 have access to the GBA slot, and thus it doesn't work with other popular loaders. With this you'll be able to simply set things up the way it expects and go. |

You're probably not close enough then, or there's interference, or the antenna is broken ($300 laptop, what do you expect? ), etc. |

This may be difficult as my left wrist still doesn't want to cooperate sometimes. The nerve damage I obtained in that quad accident hasn't completely healed yet (but I'd say ~95% ). Anyway, here goes...
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazyu dog. Ha! I knew I screwed up lazy, too, but I didn't think I'd do that well. Even when I'm looking at the screen, I can still see my fingers, so... ironically I'm making a shitload of typos now, with my eyes open. Of course if one has the keyboard layout memorized they can just feel around for tab, space etc and then just count keys from there, but that's no fun. |
