New thread for this because of some double post rule in the ATS thread.
Brain Device Moves Objects by Thought And of course one group is working to use this technology in TV remotes. As if you weren't lazy enough, now you can change channels without even moving! |

Honestly, I knew just posting bananas and so on was dumb, but I didn't really care. Everyone was acting dumb, so I figured what the hell? It's good harmless fun, sort of the Internet equivalent of a party.
(BTW, it started when I wanted to delete a post. Finding no way to do so, and since just blanking it is boring, I decided to replace it with a banana. ) See also: Posted by blackhole89 |

Acting dumb on the internets isn't likely to kill me, though. |

R/B's Pokémon graphics don't use the same compression as G/S? Because there are G/S Pokémon graphic editors. |

This is why I laughed at those who did dumb shit like this. You knew it'd go back to normal eventually, revealing your identity. In fact I even found a loophole to tell who was who.

G/S/C were more system-intensive (really pushed the original Game Boy to its limits at least memory-wise), and AFAIK some of R/B/Y's graphics are stored at half size or something while G/S/C's aren't, so it makes sense they might have opted for a method that would decompress faster. Similarly, R/B/Y compressed the town map while G/S/C didn't, because the latter used more tiles than that compression could handle (only 15 IIRC). |

At one point this person I've never heard of with an unlisted number kept calling my cell phone, asking for me. When I told them it was me, they just insisted it wasn't and hung up. I figure they managed to get my number mixed up with someone else's who had the same name, but I dunno where they'd have got it.

Most just ignore whitespace. Maybe not all compilers will, but they should read it as "respect++;". Unless the ++/-- tokens are some special exception to this rule, I've never tried it myself. |

Yeah, R/B/Y's coding is total shit, G/S/C's is very good. I suspect they had a few n00bs on the first team who managed to either improve their skills or get fired by the time they started on G/S/C, and management was probably better too. (None of this use plain hex here and BCD there crap.)
Posted by KoolboymanHm, the way I understood the format, that shouldn't actually be happening and is probably just a coincidence. Or does the game actually check for the absence of a compression header? You'll notice for example tileset 1 isn't compressed for some reason, but still has the headers (just every one of them says 1024 bytes of raw data ). Hm, care to elaborate? |

If that doesn't work, do "tracert 72.232.0.178" in a console. Make note of the IPs beginning with 192.168, they should be the first few. Enter each of those in your browser, and you should be at a modem/router's configuration page. The first will be the first router your computer connects to, the second is whatever that connects to, etc. |

My DS says it's ~16°C right now. A bit cold, but bearable. |
