So, I come on to look for the thread on Kirby's Adventure.

A half-hour ago.

I've been chatting up and posting and screwing around for the past half-hour and then I close the board. Only then to I remember what I came here for in the first place.

So, how often does this happen to you where you get sidetracked and forget what you came here (or any other website, really) for? Am I the only one?

I frequently find myself deep in the bowels of Wikipedia, endlessly following link after link after link, long after I've forgotten what I was looking for in the first place. I can't be the only one who's done this...

I do both of these all the time. Sometimes simultaneously.

Pokémon hacking (including cheat device hacking) is to idiots as poop is to flies, though. But anyway, sounds nice. Maybe there'll be a decent Game Boy emulator for the DS by the time it's finished!

(BTW I know of Goomba Color, but the GBA isn't powerful enough for it to run Pokémon G/S. :-/)

Is what I get if I try to quote a post in a closed thread. Makes sense, but often I'll hit Quote to look for hidden comments or copy the quote into a post in another thread. Could this be changed, so there's simply no Submit button or something?

I'm right-handed, but at the moment, my left hand/arm are more flexible/mobile than my right, so I've been using it more. (At least when I wear the thingy that holds my wrist up, else it just flops down. ) All supposed to get better eventually though.

My brother's a lefty, if anyone here cares.

(I like them with mustard too, but not both... eww)

Two problems I see right away:

1) Magnetic fields. Those are bad for electronics.
2) Money. Specifically:
a) They can't tell who's using the power source. Thus, we won't see cell-phone-like power networks covering entire cities (how to bill you for it?) and people will be able to mooch off your home network (think wifi, but plain electricity can't be encrypted).
b) As the blog mentioned, it would be the solution to the problem of how to power an electric car. Thus, oil companies will squish it.

A few reasons this wonderful technology that could significantly better our world will almost certainly never see the light of day. Ain't society great?

Oh, I once had a candy of some sort whose brand name was "Happy To Sharing".

I'm sure too if I looked through my closet I could come up with all manner of bizarre brand names from old computer parts.

I have a learner's permit, which is fairly useless for anything besides (get this) learning as you have to have a fully-licensed driver in the car with you. You have to wait a year after you get it before applying for the next one, which is basically full except you can't have any booze, then another year after you apply for full (up to .08% alcohol level).

I hate driving in town though. Too much to pay attention to at once, and a lot of bad drivers and stupid intersections here. I'm better on the highway, though my dad still tends to nitpick because he's a professional and thus has high expectations, like somehow driving for a living has modified my DNA after birth to improve my own driving skills.

Yes, that's what you generally do. You could also use C00000.

Actually, the particular case that prompted me to post this was someone putting CSS in their post, so a comment viewer wouldn't work. Also, you may want to actually quote a post...

Both useless. Those are after the Wii has encrypted/combined them into one file. We need the files before that, captured from a download.

Also note the CRL file. it is 0kb and if downloaded is blank under notepad. Also note it is downloaded from the same place in each file.

Super Mario RPG. Would like to find a Banjo-Kazooie cartridge so I could replay that too. I found and bought Banjo-Tooie (which I never did beat) at a game store the other day, but some fuckhead stole my BK cart ages ago and I haven't found another yet.

*Puts on fireproof clothing*

Overrated:
  • Goldeneye. Where was the fun in this game? There were far better FPSes even on N64.
  • Zelda: Wind Waker. Who designed these levels? The rest of the game (graphics, sound, plot etc) was good, but I couldn't be arsed to play through so many boring/annoying parts.
  • Halo series. A good game, but not the amazing end-all-be-all king of video games fanboys describe it as.
  • Pokémon games after the GS series. (If you checked the box/cartridge art, it was actually Pokémon GS: Gold/Silver/Crystal version... but nobody, not even the title screens, called it that. )
  • Mario Kart DS. They fucked the game mechanics, plain and simple. The physics are much different from the others, and the others had it right. Also, now that the AI really gets items instead of randomly using things, you constantly get bombarded by the guys in last place. Realism vs fun.

Underrated:
  • Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. Maybe not as good as the original Sonics, but this game is fun.
  • Pokémon Gold/Silver and to a lesser extent Red/Blue. Very solid, well-made, enjoyable games.
  • Metroid 2. Bloody great stuff, but overshadowed by 1 and 3.
  • Yoshi's Story. A bit too easy, but a fun game (and with good music too ).
  • Mario Kart: Double Dash. This is my favourite of the series. I don't see what it is that makes people dislike this game.
  • Chromehounds. Very well-made game. Story mode kinda sucks but online play is awesome.
  • Diddy Kong Racing DS. People describe this as being absolutely terrible, when in fact it's just very bad. A shame, because the original fucking owned.

A lot of games are over/underrated simply because of their characters. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle is underrated because it's not as good as previous Sonic games; Pokémon R/B/Y/G/S/C are underrated because they're Pokémon games, Wind Waker is overrated because it's Zelda. If you ignore the characters, or imagine the same game with new made-up characters not similar to the originals, you can get a very different perspective of things.

Saitek P880. Best USB gamepad I've ever used
What he said. Except my P880 broke and I had to replace it with a P2500, which is the same but with a rumble motor no programs seem to notice.

Though I find myself using the keyboard often anyway because so many emulators fail at gamepad support. FCEUXD can only use buttons, No$GMB can't use them at all, Nemu's pad support (like most every other feature) is retarded, etc. Come on people, this isn't so hard to implement.
