Long Titles - see how if you hover over that link, the tooltip that appears is cut off? This fixes it.

Adblock - you're using Firefox and you don't have this? You may as well not be using Firefox.

FlashBlock - bye-bye Flash ads! Just click the Flash objects to play them.

Menu Editor - tweak the menus to your liking. Good for removing the options every 3rd extension adds to your context menu when it really isn't necessary.

RefControl - someone posted an image/link that only leads to a "wtf hotlink u sux" page? Let this extension handle referrers for that site, and it won't bother you anymore.

Smart Middle Click - of all the things that should be built in... fixes the problem that middle-clicking on a javascript:> link opens it in a new window.

Tab Mix Plus - you haven't used tabbed browsing until you've used this.

TargetKiller - whoever decided web pages should be able to open new windows needs to be tortured. This helps solve the problem by not allowing links to force new windows.

[edit] Hm, someone stuck a '>' after my "javascript[colon]".

I keep my client open until it reaches 1.0 (though it generally gets interrupted by reboots and shutting down overnight), but for some reason, nearly every torrent I download finishes with a share ratio of 0.0. Not a single byte is uploaded. Once it's done downloading then it will periodically seed very slowly. It took me about a week to upload all 96MB of OpenOffice, and ~20 minutes to download it.

Aren't the doors in the "unused" rooms right where they would appear when you defeat the boss in the used versions?

That is awesome, but something seems wrong here.

F337 [00 00 01 02] Table for abilities given to Yoshi upon eating a shell
01=Stomping dust clouds, 02=Flying, 03=Stomping dust clouds & flying
(This table doesn't cover the fire-spitting ability. The first two bytes are unused.)

F345 [03 02 02 03 01 00] What ability each color of shell gives to Yoshi
(This table points to the table at F337)
(In the order of: brown[unused], gray[unused], yellow, blue, red, green)
You seem to have swapped yellow and blue.

[edit] I can't add.

I take it you have a very affordable plan/tons of spare cash and never actually use the phone?

But if you're loaded, I'd have to ask why you have dialup...

Game Boy ROM expansion is simple in most cases. Chances are the game has no MBC chip (max 32K), MBC1 (max 1MB?) or MBC3 (max 2MB). Change the ROM size in the header, and if you hit the max the chip allows, move to the next one (nothing -> MBC1 -> MBC3 -> MBC5). MBC5 apparently allows 8MB, though some hacking would be required to get the game to use 9-bit addressing to use more than 4. These chips are all compatible (MBC2 and MBC4 are some special chips I've never seen used), so there shouldn't be a problem.

Expanding a 32K (no MBC) game will require ASM hacking, since the game won't have any bankswitching code and will be using 16-bit pointers.

The only real problems you can run into are unusual situations:
-The game uses MBC3's real-time clock, which MBC5 lacks. You just can't have more than 2MB in this case. It seems most emulators don't emulate this chip accurately and allow 4MB, but the real thing won't. However, this is probably a non-issue, as I suspect no flash cart emulates this restriction either, and building your own GBC flash cart is argh.
-The game is already MBC5 4MB. You'll need to use some hacking to switch to banks 0x100 and up. If it's already 8MB, you're out of luck.
-The game uses some other chip. You'll need to hack it to use MBCx bankswitching and saving methods instead.

FYI, you can add more SRAM (even to a game that has none) the same way, but I don't know of any chip that allows more than 32K.

My dad just takes me with him every now and then when I have nothing better to do. He's a truck driver, it's an interesting job, so it's cool.

It'd be cruel to take a kid along on my job though. It's SOOOOO BOOOORING.

Cogeco was awesome but they had a 15GB limit which I repeatedly smashed through (they noticed when I hit 100GB, but assumed it was a virus ). I could either switch to a 30GB plan for an extra 20 bucks or to Sympatico's unlimited slightly faster plan for the same price.

That was before I moved though. I have no idea what sort of limits this connection might have.

Heh...It'd be pretty rotten if you made sprites that look like 1-ups, but instantly kill Mario when touched. Ooh look, there's a 1-UP! --POW! You're dead.
If by "be pretty rotten" you mean "absolutely suck and make people not want to play it".

This is awesome. Now we need someone to hack the bank switching, so we can add tracks instead of replacing them. I assume there's just pointers to an SPC700 program in the ROM, one for the overworld and one for the levels, and the game simply uploads the appropriate program? Expand the table to one entry per level and one per map. As a bonus, you can have longer songs, since you only need one in the bank at a time.
Though it seems to me if it were that easy, someone would have done it by now...
