1664. People who take statements and run them through some bizarre logic to come out with an absurd result.

1665. Colds.

1666. The taste of Buckleys.

1667. Buckleys not being as strong as it used to be, or colds being stronger than they used to be.

1668. Sites that have big long lists of things (sometimes referred to as "tags", often not at all related to the content) to fool search engines, especially in their meta keywords, hidden/really small text, etc.

1669. When the above technique actually works and you can't find something on Google because these completely unrelated sites have spammed the results.

He would have the MD5 hash of your password. It's possible to brute-force a hash to get the original text, but the longer and more complex your password, the more time it will take. So if your password is something simple like "ASDFGH" (which is a terrible password, really) it won't take long to crack, whereas if it's a long complex one like "HJXg6$479Vgfo##@", it's going to take quite a while. (Both of these made up on the spot. ) However if he's bored enough and/or has access to enough processing power, that while still won't be very long.

This is why you use good strong passwords. Hell, if your password is just a word in all upper/lowercase, a dictionary attack may well have it in seconds. And if it's short enough, a rainbow table attack may also have it in seconds, though requiring craploads of disk space.

That's true, as dumb a name as Wii is, I think all that press attention only helped it.

ROFL. Love the sequel and spinoff too. "Ignore anything people say, unless they offer to buy you gifts and want to send you a car. Don't even bother to ask why they want to drive it over you. People often leave "to" out. You know how typos happen." XD

How many Pokémon hacking threads have there been lately? How many of them on the old board weren't stupid?

Those are some of the biggest problems I had with my old HP. Funny, HP and Compaq merged a while ago.

Well I'm finally reinstalling Windoze again. It's at the point that the system tray is freezing randomly, causing me to stay up late because I look at the clock and think "meh, it's only 1:30" when it's really 4:00. Never seen that one before.

Speaking of which my laptop still doesn't get this whole DST thing, and is an hour ahead.

Yeah, I get occasional BSODs in XP if I do something my craptastic graphic/sound hardware/drivers don't like. Win98 was decent too. Now, WinME...

I did some rearranging. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. I put the old monitor where the games were and (get this) put the games were the monitor was. Now the monitor cable reaches my computer, so I can use it and the LCD at the same time!

Quick notes:
  • Yes, that's the Mario Kart 64 editor source on one screen and Card Captor Sakura on the other.
  • No, I don't generally watch animé while coding. I would have put the editor itself there, but there's still the problem with my sucky video drivers, that translucent windows blink when 3D is being used, and the text editor is translucent.
  • I am planning to put a different wallpaper on the second monitor, but first I'm planning to reinstall Windoze again. It just applied the same image to both screens for now.
  • I forgot to put that duck back on top of the clock. *does so*
  • Yes, it's still a mess.
  • I accidentally added a ` to this post. That's a new one.

There is STILL snow here that's been here since October. It's finally melting, though. If this is Northern Alberta I can't even imagine the Northwest Territories. Is that really considered inhabitable land?

Wow, that sucks. I never head of the system tray freezing for 2 hours before. Thats insane.
Up to 6, actually.

Why are you all posting here?!?!?! He'll BAN YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Especially if you make posts like that.

I set 4 alarms (2 on one clock, one on my DS, one on a FUCKING LOUD clock) just to get me the hell up in the morning. It doesn't help, though, because I wake up, but stay in bed, and fall asleep 20 minutes later. I should set one for like 45 minutes after the first or something.

I pronounce Acmlm by spelling it letter by letter. Also, if I'm lazy, I would instead pronounce it "Ace" instead.
Yeah, that.

We may as well save the effort and post both username origins and Acmlm pronounciations in here.

Buttered fish...

dammit now you're making me hungry. Even though buttered fish sounds gross, it's got me thinking about things that taste good.

Why not just have it accept user IDs too then? And fix the problem with "odd" characters (not even non-ASCII) in passwords and there you go.

WFC has been useless for a while now. ARDS, ROM hacks, Dipstar, and its incredibly stupid design have all made sure of that. Nintendo doesn't seem to give a rat's ass.
