Well you could stop it once you got to that part.

I used it to hit on some of the girls in the class. They were amused, at first some thought the computer itself was talking to them. XD Then I got stupid and sent a network-wide message and got suspended for a few days. That's when they turned it off for a while.

Deep Freeze is an annoying program, although I will admit I've been severely tempted to run a program that wipes the HDD (or even better, fills it with utter trash after writing it)...
It annoyed me too but they didn't use BIOS passwords (or in many cases, BIOSes capable of passwords), so I'd just pop in a floppy disk containing a batch script I wrote to delete it. This got more interesting when they moved to XP, as I had to find an NTFS driver for DOS, which took up 2 more disks itself.

I always did want to play with it a bit more though. I noticed it creates temporary copies of the files you edit, so I wanted to try editing those copies. Other things I never got a chance to do include editing files via raw HD access, bypassing the filesystem entirely (which it allowed me to do but finding the file data would have taken hours), filling the drive by editing a lot of big files, and playing with hardlinks and alternate file streams.

I did do two fun things with it though: one, delete the program but not the driver, which meant it was on but there was no way to turn it off (nor any tray icon), and two, install Firefox and VNC servers on a few computers before they put DF on, so they were stuck on the drives as well. Also, someone found the password somehow and spread it around - it was "freezer".

Oh and that reminds me of another good one: When they learned that their craptastic laggy filtering didn't affect Firefox (even though it's server-side ), they blocked firefox.exe from running. Install it, rename to iexplore.exe, kthxbai. They also had right-clicking the desktop, and the File menu in the file browser, disabled even though you could still do everything from them the long way.

Just read on Wiili of a bug found in the new Internet Channel. It says go here and click "Season 11" while the page is loading to freeze the system up, but I managed to do it by just scrolling down and clicking around a lot, I don't think I actually hit that link. What I found especially interesting is the Wiimote freezes too. You can hold the Power button all day and it'll stay on. I also noticed you can hold the Wii power button for a few seconds to do a hard shutdown instead of pulling the plug.

I tried navigating to the individual pages/frames/Flash files, and nothing unusual happened. I think it's just overloaded from all the ads and crap on the page.

Yeah I generally avoid photo threads for such reasons. Nobody ever looks as good as I expect them to.

So many people rely on their browsers to remember their passwords... then the hard drive crashes and you're screwed. (I keep copies of my list in a few places. )

1) Take my video camera back to film the whole Jesus incident.
2) Go back to grade 11 or so and ask Melanie out dammit.
3) If possible, go to the future and get some sort of technology to stop or severely slow my aging, then go back to 1960 and enjoy the 60s, 70s and 80s without being an old fart at the end.
4)

I would probably go back in time and ruin Chuck Norris' career in order to stop the Chuck Norris facts from ever appearing on the internet.

5) Go back to various times that I did stupid things and make myself not do them. (See also: 2.)

I would go to Ancient Japan to attack the giant enemy crab's weakpoint for massive damage.

You win an Internet.

K, pics...

1) Neat. Good font there. 2 levels isn't much of a demo though.
2) These graphics really clash. You've mixed many different styles into one image, which doesn't look too good.
3) This is decent, but you should colour non-solid blocks slightly differently to indicate they're not solid. If you have a sprite passing by every one of them though, and no disappearing sprite problems, that's probably good enough.
4) A bit bright for an underwater castle, but otherwise good.
5) Again, good but doesn't look underwater. I like how the fish seem to glow here.

Overall a good use of mostly original graphics, but they could use some minor adjustments. Keep in mind that SMW's graphics were designed exclusively for SMW's levels, so to try to design a hack using no other graphics while including themes not present in SMW (space stations are an excellent example of this) is a bit silly.

If I were you I'd fork over $200 for a new monitor just to be able to not go blind. 800x600 is alright for Win98 if you don't do a whole lot at once, but it's just ugh if you want to multitask or use XP (even if you make things smaller from the control panel, it still seems too big). Not to mention it must be pretty old, so probably runs at 60hz which is AAAAGH THE GOGGLES DO NOTHING. Seriously, a 20" LCD monitor with 4ms response time and 1280x1024 is so worth the money.

Take a whiz in the primordial soup.

I never understood why paradoxes would happen, though. This is time travel, the cause can happen after the effect, that's the whole point. You can't go back in time and kill your grandfather, because you wouldn't be there if you did. Just the same you can't go back in time and kill Hitler because you would already have read that you did it in the history books that you had done it.
That's what creates a paradox. If you kill your grandfather you're never born, so you aren't around to kill him, so he doesn't get killed and you are born and later go back and kill him, and so on. It creates an infinite loop.

1654. Randomly finding yourself banned from a board for seemingly no reason.
1655. Not being able to find a comfortable sitting position.
1656. People who end questions with a period.

1658. People who reply to your post with "what?" or similar.
