I was wondering have anyone was able to add the animation to world 5 map like they did in Super Mario All Stars? The animation for world 5 map on NES version is a little glitchy.

Thank you very much! So far, so good! I was able to do something that I couldn't do by hand and asm by trying to add music from another game from scratch.

In Famitracker, you can highlight the selected area by holding the left button on the mouse and copy the notes and paste it in a different area by right click on the mouse and then the left button on the mouse or select it from the menu.

You looking for animation? I know how to do it. I did it before.

Its x17C40 that keeps world 5 from being animated. For that you put "FF FF FF" to make it animated as normal, but I made the tiles from SNES converted to NES as I know what the exact tile is. Check it out! I used AgenTer's patch because he fix bunch of bugs, added sfx, etc.

While converting to a different mapper, have anyone ran into a glitch when something thats not supposed to happened?

The Guardian Legend for example:
In flying mode, the player jumps to the top of the screen. This happened's on corridor 16 and the green commet diddn't appear from the start and the commet generator didn't appear. This happened's on corridor 0. This happened on mapper MMC3 and MMC5.

This might happens on other games too and for MMC5, it won't work on most emulators as well. Do we have to reprogram some of the codes to fix this issue?

The question about the MMC5 issue is sloved! It was the bankswitch code itself and I was able to fix the problem so here's what I did:

In the bankswitch code for MMC5, only need to change two things.

Change:

1.PHA to PHP
2.PLA to PLP

That's it!

The rest of the code is fine.

A new version is now available for download. Now you can patch other hacks to this one even "TGL WORLDS".

The main bug was the bankswitch code for MMC5.

Bankswitching:
to bankswitch from $8000 - $Bfff and from $C000 - $ffff, here's how to do it:

LDA bank_number
JSR $FFC0
JMP New Location


or

LDA bank_number
JSR $FFC0
RTS


This code can be very tricky.

If you want to use the compact mapper patch, then there are some things that you have to change.
The only thing that you have to change is this:

ROM File:

At location $1D71E, change
"99 66 D7" to "20 c0 FF".

In compact mapper hack, bankswitching is a lot easier than the original code. Here's how:


newlocation:

jmp $8000 ; $8000 or whatever etc...
