Oh yes, i agree with insectudel
To durfarC i mean.

Try consider using some of those patches, which were originally made by rock5easily. They will enhance your mm4 hack quite a bit some more. If any of them intrest you.

I think it's safe to apply to megaman 4...but im not 100% sure.
Insect will know though.

Yea, thankfully a girl named "ririka" managed to have full backups of every single page and hack/patch/anything rock5easily did.
Really cool.
---------------------
The truth was discussed on the rockman remodelling 2ch thread, a few weeks ago.

We all just learned that the reason rock5easily's site got taken down sometime in 2009 or somewhere around there, was because Capcom found about how easily made megaman 9 levels on a mm 4 hack..
1 month before Megaman 9 was officially released by capcom.

Rock5easily has never been seen or heard from ever again since...

I was the one responsible for making the whole Text Editor function in the first place.

I really wanted to try being able to allow text editing for all the games like that easily so anyone could change the scripts but...

I could not ever figure out how to properly "save" the text back to the ROM without it majorly corrupting the games. So i never truly finished just that single part of it alone.

And that was the whole main purpose of the text editor, to edit the lines, and save it to the ROM. I didn't know how to make it work.

I'm sorry for any inconvience caused.

adelikat is the person who does all the stuff to fceux, but he's not a member, or visits acmlm board.

The only way to possibly contact him is on the TASvideos forum.
I will do it for you though and see if i manage to get a reply or not.

He'll see this thread soon hopefully.

no need to google.

it'll always be updated here, it's NOT 2687 yet, it says 2680... so it'll come soon

http://fceux.com/zip

Oh my freaking god i HATE how the hex editor/debugger looks now all of a sudden... yuck!!
what the freaking damn hell did this person do...

Im just sticking to the older 2.1.3 - i aint dare using this new version... if AnS was the one responsible for changing the way the hex editor/debugger looks...
i DO NOT approve in my opinion...
no offense to him ... it shouldn't have been messed with.

Afraid not, must be re-written from the beginning.
When i did that in 2006, he floated up about halfway up the screen until actually teleporting up..

So fixed that, here
-----------------------------
English version:

3A1B7 - 20 85 F4
3A231 - 89
3F495 - 9D E0 05 A5 22 C9 02 F0 01 60 BD 20 05 C9 3C F0 0A FE 20 05 68 68 A9 8A 4C 35 F8 BD C0 05 C9 99 F0 08 A9 99 20 35 F8 FE A0 05 60
-----------------------------
Japanese version:

3A195 - 20 85 F4
3A20F - 89
3F495 - 9D E0 05 A5 22 C9 02 F0 01 60 BD 20 05 C9 3C F0 0A FE 20 05 68 68 A9 8A 4C 35 F8 BD C0 05 C9 99 F0 08 A9 99 20 35 F8 FE A0 05 60
------------------------------
If you want to change how long he stays as breakman,
then test out 3F4A3 (both versions).

OK guys... this is it. I don't want to do anymore this time!

Only had to update again because there was a problem on the japanese version, that i didn't catch. Puresabe told me about it.

He then gave me an ASM file to implement, which has some changes to megaman's gameplay mechanics/physics. So i inserted that in successfully.

Moved the City down since you guys made such a big dang deal out of it.

Breakman Transformation added

1 of the Crash Bomb sound effects for Crash Man fight
Flasher Stopper for Flash man fight ----- That's it for sound effects

The dieing thing fixed, happened because of Weapon Switching

Ehhh.. i've wasted 5 whole years on trying to do stupid boss AI.

The problem with me is "not" about being able to program in NES asm.
My problem is, i have purely zero "thinking" skills or creativity or imagination. So i stall for months or years trying to do 1 boss at a time.

In this case, duplex, bolt, and necro for my game...

But man... if i had a brain like puresabe.. then i would of been light years ahead with my game already. His creativity and imagination for rock 4 MI blows me out of the universe a trillion times over.

i know already... but what i really mean is, i dont know "what" to pick.. or take from other games. I know i can just do that, but i dont ever know what to think.

I really cant manage to explain. i even suck at trying to just explain THIS very sentence even. :| (above)

bottom line is...
SNES geiger doesn't have a "real" code/data logger like fceux.

About actually "highlighting" stuff on hex editor in yellow/blue/green

SNES debugger dont have that at all...which is one of the reasons why I dont bother with snes.

Well i started playing this hack tonight finally. I really do like it, a whole lot.

Only there was 1 single complaint I have honestly. There was not 1 single small or big energy refill in any of the 6 stages whatsoever period.

I've seen an extra life or 2, and some weapon refills. But i was getting fustrated at the fact that there's absolutely zero help in the levels just once.

I've gotten probably 30 or 40 total game overs currently. I'm not trying to bash you for the difficulty or anything.
-------------------------
Besides that.. this is defintely really "above-average" in my opinion. I love the graphics themes chosen for the levels. The megaman 2 songs being used instead of mm1's songs.

Ice slasher able to let you attack enemies while there frozen, it's absolutely REQUIRED in Fire Man level to get past the metools.

Level design is very excellent.

I haven't gotten to the wily levels yet, so i have no idea what to expect there yet.

But this is defintely a very good hack despite my 1 single issue.

does the gameboy megaman editor allow ya to change the scrolling stuff by any chance ??

Like going up a screen instead of down.. and such. It would be even more better to have some new paths.
