holy freaking crap that is an extremely outdated guide you've been using.

I have at least 3 different versions of matrixz's music guide, and none of them are THAT old, about 0.21 your using. the oldest one i have is 0.3 from 2007...

http://www.mediafire.com/?373z3nj9t2q8wlm
please take this. Hope you dont mind. I know it's waaaay too late since you already finished your hack ...but i just feel you need the latest update, not the super old one from who knows many more years ago before 2007.

This one is from 2009 apparently.

Just for the record, the one your using doesn't have sound effects, instrumnt settings....and just plain tons of stuff, i promise this one i linked you to has tons you've missed out on.

Is it possible at all for blackhole, or whoever else has control over the site to seperate the bots from real people when viewing the online list ??

I know there's 2 sections that say "guests" and the other bots...but the guests section is just always waaaay too horribly flooded to death with stupid annoying bots.

I just wondered if it's possible for more of these to not be in the way from normal real people...

here's a screenshot...sheesh

well, i just thought it'd be nice if that issue could be updated and whatnot.

there's obviously just too many dang bots always on the "guest" list all the time.

just all of a sudden when posting this...there's 26 "guest" bots right now...at 5:42 AM...annoying to hell.

there aren't any other editors in existence for mm3 beside the 2 you mentioned.

MegaFLE is the recommended one, and it's far far much more superior compared to rock5easily's one.

Okay i finished the hack last night.

I must say this was pretty good. Defintely played through it all the way from start to finish over the past 2 and a half weeks or so.

I do like that you changed the level's paths and stuff with different scroll settings, and all that. good. and i could tell the wily levels were a little bit longer compared to an original mm3 rom which is defintely a big plus.

i did honestly get a bit fustrated at times for just a couple places. But not really bad.

And there was some very very clever awesome level design for sure in every single level. Like in gemini having to figure out a awesome puzzle with a top layer-bottom layer style with shooting the bubble fish...and go backwards and back to the bottom layer of the screen to continue....and riding the magnets over the spikes and lots other stuff. awesome.

And i liked all the music of course.

I give this hack an 88 out of 100 %. maybe 90 actually.

Oh sorry i would of replied earlier but i was occupied with some stuff.

Yea what trinito said.
You can actually use those extra screens and make the stages longer. yea they were just all garbled nonsense numbers, there's tons like this throughout the whole rom, it's all unused free space whenever you see a bunch of random numbers everywhere that's NOT code or data at all.

You can have up to 1F total screens for a level. that's the limit (1F screen presets and and screens) Dont type a number higher than that in the box.

megaFLE can handle being able to edit any and all sprite palletes with the Enemy Editor window.

But here take this.

http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=4095

I know i already uploaded one of these before with all my megaman 3 notes before i ofifically started odyssey, but here's a few more included that may help.

The one "custom ASM changes" has tons of bugfixes for a megaman 3 rom that existed originally.

so then are you trying to edit an existing megaman 5 rom hack that changed megaman into protoman ??

Or making your own hack ?? im still a little lost. if it's someone else's hack, then things will be a little harder.

Im sure there's probably a "protoman 5" rom hack, but someone would have to show me some screenshots of this hack so i can see what it is.

where is this rockman 2 claw ??

I heard it mentioned on the rockman remodelling 2ch board on post #279, and 287.

But there wasn't any links to the author's site or anything.

I'd love to try it without looking at your video!

Okay you'll have to change it again.
instead of B0 on 43DD...first put

C9 01 B0 - on 43DB instead

this will disable pressing right reguardless if you have rush marine and jet.
--------------------------------------
Now for an extra -

3DC70 - 60 EA

This will make it so that you dont get rush jet and marine from beating the bosses who would give it to you. But it's still going to show the text though saying "you got [weapon] and rush marine/jet" unless you delete the text saying that --- just the "and rush marine/jet"

if you want that too then i'll reply back

You can find that and much much more in "stage select.txt" from all the guides i linked to a few posts ago...here again...in case you missed it.

http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=4095

i'll just paste it from the guide then...

Get Weapon Screen Palettes: 31D26 - 31D45

314E2 - Delay time between when the image appears, until it begins to move across the screen
314EA - How far the image of megaman moves across the screen until it stops
314EF - Frame speed for how fast the image scrolls across the screen. do NOT set too high.
314FA - Delay time for after the image stops moving, until text is written to the screen.

eh, i really loved using the dark blue background i was using cause it's easy on my eyes,

i do not like all these bright colors in comparison.

Im sorry, but i voted the 3rd option (im the only person that has so far)

im hoping you dont take down the site, because i literally have this board set as my "homepage"

i always am here because of the romhacking boards, this is defintely the best place to come to for people to dicuss their rom hacks and download any that people uploaded on the acmlm board uploader.

I really love the download counter so you get to see how much rom hacks and tools have been downloaded, it's really really useful.

And there are plenty of annoymous japanese people who come here to check the romhacking boards too. (the megaman community in particular)

i really hope this place stays, i dont want to see it go.

Well i already sorta explaind a bit already in the main topic thing at the top of "general" board.

I have acmlm board set as IE's homepage. I only look at romhacking and romhacking releases.

Im always hanging around here far more than www.romhacking.net
well basically i just refresh the page 2 or 3 times per day to see if there were any new posts..

I usually only ever reply to posts that are megaman related, like if someone needs help with something with the NES megaman's.
that's like my main reason that i stay here everyday.

I mean i do look at other rom hack dicussions like zelda and mario since those do intrest me for example

yea, you're defintely correct, he hasn't publically announced on his blog that it was complete "just yet" even though there's only like, 1 more level left truly.

oh speaking of MI, a group of people have recently started on creating a megaman 8 bit deathmatch themed rockman 4 MI ..

check this out:

Not sure what romhack that is but looks very familiar, i might of played it one day before in the past, but dont remember the name.

speaking of k-game - he made 2 hacks way back almost 10 years ago, a complete mm2 hack, and a un-finished cancelled mm3 hack
