Posted by Xenesis ...I really don't see how you can make this claim either. I think economics (Ie when to expand, what to build in what amounts) does make up a large part of the game; a player who can use all his income will generally fare much better than a player who cannot properly spend the same income. I'm curious as how you're going to try and defend this. Explain. |

Posted by Anya She knows the truth. We must silence her before it is too late. I play guitar first and foremost. I can play an acoustic fine, but I feel more at ease with the slacker strings of an electric guitar. I've been playing for about 6 years, and I practice pretty regularly, but I am still nowhere near touching most of those guitar gods you can find allover youtube. (For some names: John Petrucci, Steve Vai, Ygnwie Malmsteen... the list goes on and on) I HAVE to play guitar with a pick. Well, not HAVE to, but I'm pretty bad with my fingers; I am completely uncomfortable without a pick and have to learn how to fingerpick songs on a song-by-song basis. I even use a real pick to play Guitar Hero I use the shorty stubby little Dunlop Jazz III picks; they're really small and really thick. Good for alternate picking. I can also play a little electric bass, but again I have to use a pick, which makes it sound meh. I want to learn how to play slap bass properly sometime. I played trumpet from 6th grade to the end of high school, but haven't touched it in 3 years. I could probably still play if I worked my lip muscles back into shape. I can play a little keyboard/piano. I haven't been formally trained, nor have I memorized any songs, but I know enough music theory and how it translates to piano in order to make up little melodies as I go along. I cannot play fast at all, so I usually play very happy churchy music, or sometimes very somber, sad, or even dark melodies. I have a harmonica lying around here somewhere as well, but I haven't played it in forever. |

Posted by DavrosPosted by Pac If nobody else wants to take the job I guess, but I haven't been drunk for a little while now due to 1. Finals and 2. A horrible, awful weeklong stomach virus that I will speak no more of. I feel like I have more alcohol in my house than I could ever feasibly drink in one night. Hell, probably more than I would usually drink in one week. |

Posted by Xenesis I think you're underestimating the importance of macro. I agree that if the only difference is a zealot or two then micro is more important, but that's assuming both players are about just as good at managing their economies as each other. There's a lot of questions - when to expand, how many unit makers to build, when to upgrade and what, what kinds of units to create - that fall under macro that are still important. Not that I don't agree that good micro can turn the tide of the game... But say in a game where a good micro but bad macro player is pitted against a bad micro but good macro player; I don't think either of them has a clear advantage. |

Posted by Koitenshin +∞ I agree on the taste part. Looks very homely without looking old-folk-sy, if you know what I mean. And I don't think Fight Club mentality really applies to decorating a house after you get married... there's certain limits to it.PS. I applaud you for attempting to use the phrase "Pimping the crib" here, but all you've done is remind us all how horribly suburban we are. |

Lame game is lame and done only for attention
I hate shit that goes out of it's way to try to be edgy and funny based on shock value, because 99% of the time it just fucking fails. Only idiot teenagers think this is shockingly hilarious, but only the extremely uptight will find it horribly offensive (other than those who actually lost someone in the shooting); most intelligent people will find it just stupid. |

Yeah... impressive that he figured out how to make it work but loses a lot of points for style and loses a TON of points for ending the games one by one instead of all at the same time. |

Why do we call it happy hour if there's like 6 users who drink here and most of the board is underage?
Also, if you are going to make a psychological gimmick to encourage posting, why not go all the way and make it semi-random? |
