My original avatar was something I made in MS Paint in about 2 minutes. It's the non-Christmas version of this. That was way way long ago, like at least 6-7 years ago. (Shit, has it been that long already?) It's a yellow face with red eyes, furrowed eyebrows, a jagged nose, and a jumbled bunch of lines for a mouth. The original text (now partially obscured) read "THIS AVATAR ROX," drawn wrapping around the sides of the image because I wrote it way too big to fit it around the face easily.
Come my first Christmas here, I decided to make a Christmas version of my avatar by adding the MERRY CHRISTMAS across the bottom and a Santa hat, which is what you see to your left. Then Christmas came, and went... but my laziness did not, and so I never changed my avatar back. And it has stood for all time since then as a lasting monument to Christmas, bringing you the spirit of the holiday all 12 months of the year, going on 7 years straight now. Which is why I basically have the best avatar in the history of the internets. Anyone who disagrees is a liar and probably a Communist. |

Just like you make real life friends: Either you wait for them to come to you (In which case, unless you are inherently and visibly interesting, you will have no friends), or you introduce yourself to all sorts of people in hopes of meeting new people.
It's doubly easy on the internet, because if for some reason you and another person clash you can basically block out their entire existence from your own world. |

Obviously, my comments here apply more to some people than to others. I don't mean to roll ||board and AB2 up into two groups with no individuality. The only reason this place gets mentioned on ||board is for humor value. That is the end of it. Please, remove any delusions you have of anger or jealousy. (Also, so long there is still the core of ~20 funny users, ||board won't die.) |

Posted by Kles You are making value judgements. Everyone would appreciate if you stopped that kind of jibberish. The only difference between the two boards is some abstract qualities. There is no way to objectively measure which one is "better" so stop trying. Just be content with "I like this place better." Most of these "immature" people go to university and work their own jobs, and some own their own places or live with girlfriends, which means bills and finances and thinking about careers and things that very few "immature" people actually do. ("Assholes," however, may possibly be accurate.) Not that it really affects the other board, but it just brings yourself down. If you want to you can make a marble monument to hating the other board, it just gives us something to laugh at. |
