It looks like you're either using an out-of-date emulator, or patched over the wrong ROM. Make sure you're using an updated emulator, such as one listed on the first post of this thread, and to patch over the PRG0 version of the US ROM.
Or maybe I just patched the same file one too many times...
Speaking of which, the bomb counter no longer seems to work. I am using the most recent version of FCEUX SD, by the way.

If you're looking for an endless-runner-type gameplay, no such thing exists.
I've seen some instances in Game Genie+emulator where Mario's constantly moving. The game won't register button presses, though.

I think I might know what's causing that rupee glitch! I think the game's confusing the rupees for bombs for some reason! I'm not 100% positive about that since I have next to 0 ASM knowledge. Why don't you take a look after you've had a breather? Too much of a good thing can turn bad like *snaps fingers* that.

Rupee glitch? The counters were all working fine for me when I built the .ips
Happened to me with the last two updates. Is it because we keep patching the same ROM over and over?

They have forgotten to mention the defect of his energy system Blues aquirred later.
In the beginning it was the solar core which was flawed. Then the prototype he aquired from Dr. Wily was not as good as the atomic cores the Wily Numbers would later use. His fighting style reflects that, because he cannot strain his core as much as the others.

Now switching the core would not work, because the aquirred defect in his energy system would make the new core to malfunction. At worst the new core could overload and detonate.
So, he's pretty much screwed?

If you hold your sword out with the blue lantern and release the lantern it will stay lit and your magic wont drain. it will also keep the room kinda lit if you swing just as you release the lantern.
Rapidly tapping the "B" button also does that. Gives off a nice strobe effect, as well.

I need some help with the FCEUX debugger.

On page 27 are some hex values for the energy deduction for MM5 weapons, and I'm trying to use kujakiller's steps to find the value for the energy reduced when Mega Man is on the Super Arrow. However, while I believe I've found the routine, I can't seem to find the hex value that CPU adress
0E:B5F2
is getting the #$01 from. I've tried Step Into with the "shoot the arrow" part of Super Arrow's energy deduction but it didn't take me to the hex value listed in the post. I'm sorry if I'm sounding like an idiot, but what am I doing wrong?
I'm new with the debugger myself, but I think you can set the Step Into when that address' value changes.

So somebody wanted to make your game into a cart? Big. frickin'. deal. Like infidelity, I would be flattered if someone wanted to make one of my hacks into an actual game, and also like infidelity, I wouldn't accept any money either. As far as my beliefs go, I understand that ROM hacking is probably within a legal gray area, but that won't stop me. As long as you only distribute the changes, you should be okay. I had a good time alpha and beta testing this project and I would earnestly love to see more of your work. Screw the naysayers.
