I had a JSR that was jumping to $AA89. The problem was, is that the bank that was loaded there wasn't always the proper bank. So I added a check for that, and now the game runs fine!!!
It's amazing how one minor screw-up can cause such serious problems.

Seems like there's still some visual Game Genie issues. The Game Genie screen's straight-up black this time. I doubt you're gonna fix that.

Okay, this is weird. I can only play this when the Game Genie is running, otherwise I end up with a gray screen (FCEUX, if it helps. I haven't tried on Nestopia, yet.).

I don't know if this was fixed in 1.3.3, but whenever I enter one of those multiple staircase rooms, the screen turns black, and you only catch a glimpse when you warp.

Hey, that happens occasionally. It seems like various hacking utilities require something from these .ocx files and can't run without them. It's easily fixed, as Korxroa just told you.

Model FZx, here are some things that will help you with your NES hacking. I highly recommend them:

· nestech.txt
· 6502.txt
· NESprgmn.txt (not 100% accurate, but it definitely helped me understand the NES more)
· Firebug's Mapper Document
· The Art of ROM Hacking Document
· The FCEUXD SP NES Emulator (a NES hacker's treasure)

Most, if not all of these, can be found at Zophar's Domain.


I'd like to add 6502 Reference, Easy 6502 by skilldrick, and a bunch of webpages that will teach you how to make your own NES game.
