As far as I'm concerned, "SMB2" is just a romhack of DDP that has Mario sprites. Nintendo should have just released DDP and SMB2J everywhere...
Yeah, I pretty much think of it that way too. It just never really felt like a mario game to me, and it technically really isn't.
"Technically" no, but DDP was made by the SMB staff, and was heavily influenced by the Mario games (POW blocks, coins, Starman). The same team also handled the conversion to SMB2. I'm pretty sure Nintendo considers it canon, considering how its characters have been heavily integrated into the Mario universe.

No, this is in the LAST weekend of March, not somewhere in the middle.
Not in the US. Our brilliant government changed it this year.

My favorite is whenever someone says, "I see..." you finish their sentence with ", said the blind man as he picked up his hammer and saw."
Isn't that supposed to be "...said the blind man to the deaf dog?"

Yeah, if the problem fixed itself overnight, it's pretty safe to assume it was a DNS problem on your ISP's end. No reason to panic, it happens sometimes.

Next time it happens, if the connection's not restored by morning, maybe try calling your ISP first? You don't want to keep paying Geek Squad to fix a nonexistent Winsock "problem"...

I HIGHLY doubt that, otherwise someone with brains would've created an uproar (and likely taken legal action) by now. Remember the whole Sony rootkit fiasco?

Well, perhaps it's just a habit for some of us.

I mean, I'm almost 27, and I still don't feel comfortable about swearing in any form, even if I'm surrounded by others who do it freely. It's just the way I was raised. Thus, the happy little asterisks tend to pepper my sentences occasionally.

I'm sure if you do a Google search for "Sony rootkit" you'll find something relevant.

Back in the mid-80's, I thought NES soundtracks were recorded live, just with really crappy instruments.

There's a fine line between "fun" and "hurf durf keyboard diarrhea". I think that just might have crossed it.

I think I'm slightly allergic to something, since I usually wake up in the morning with a stuffy nose, and tend to produce a lot of annoying phlegm the rest of the day. I should really have some tests done.

Elin also drew Ailure's avatar in OC. I know because I watched her do it.

Excellent work all around.

Why use Mario tiles for Metroid themed pictures?

Probably because that's what this thread is all about.

I was in Mexico a couple years ago and was given a round piece of hard candy. I began sucking on it, and at first it was just like your standard Jawbreaker-type candy. But when I had almost reached the center, I discovered there was something inside - and that something was chili powder. Yes, I found it extremely disgusting. Apparently that's just a normal thing in Mexico - chili powder and candy.
"Heheh. Stupid gringo."
