I've had the same problem for a few years now, although almost certainly to a much greater extent. Most days I feel as though I've gone completely retarded. I've had two CAT scans, numerous blood tests, and a meeting with a neurologist, and they all tell me I'm "normal." Ha ha ha. I guess being completely muddle-headed and uncoordinated to the point of mangling simple sentences and tripping over my own feet is "normal" nowadays!
I guess the closest I've come to any sort of diagnosis is depression and anxiety, though I'm almost certain it's something more (I think I'm anxious and depressed BECAUSE of this problem!). My subconscious keeps telling me I have some kind of brain damage or slowly-progressing disease, but then I go and create something like this, in a matter of hours, with no prior programming experience... sigh. I'm so confused. ____________________ [citation needed] |

I have a BFG 7800GS OC, and it tends to freeze when I play Psychonauts. Temps are OK, and I have a beefy 650W PSU. I've read that it's a driver issue, but who knows when/if it'll be fixed.
Nice to know that the usability of your rather hefty investment is such a top priority at NVIDIA, huh? ____________________ [citation needed] |

I'm not a huge fan of potato chips, except for those really thick ones cooked in peanut oil. Tim's Cascade Style = <3.
Ruffles are okay in a pinch, but ordinary Lay's are absolute crap. I prefer good, thick, salty tortilla chips to most any other kind of chip, especially if I have some good cheesy/beany dip to go with them. One of my favorite recently-discovered meals is a bowl of Stagg Country Brand chili, with a handful of shredded cheddar/jack cheese mixed in, and a side of tortilla chips for dipping. Mmmmmmmm. ____________________ [citation needed] |

Eh, I think I was a pretty well-behaved newbie. I was in high school when I was "properly" introduced to the Internet (back in 1996-97?), and I was a pretty quiet, mellow, and intelligent (or so I like to think ) kid. Probably the n00biest thing I did was ask a ROM hacking board why my QuackShot cartridge for the Genesis didn't make any sound...I guess I thought they were geniuses or something.
Unfortunately, one old habit I STILL haven't been able to break is my tendency to end sentences with ellipses (ellipsises? ellipsi?)... ... ____________________ [citation needed] |

So...today, I went to church, got some lunch, browsed around at a thrift store and CompUSA for an hour or so, drove home, hacked SMW a little, took a three-hour (?) nap, watched some TV, messed around with my new monitor stand a little, hacked SMW some more, played around in MAME for a while, checked all my usual websites...and now, it's only 11:55PM. I feel like I've been awake for 24 hours, and there's still about 4 or 5 hours to go until I can even consider sleeping.
Has today (2/25) felt unusually long for anyone else? ____________________ [citation needed] |

A properly-constructed screamer will make people turn up the volume on their own, without needing the prerequisite "hay guyz turn up your volume first." Start it off with some ordinary, boring footage of a guy giving a lecture (with the volume cranked down, of course), let it run for a minute, and THEN whip out the screaming monster. Maybe spice it up a little before the payload by adding fart noises over the guy's lecture; make the video seem a little more "legitimate" in order to hold the viewer's attention (you could then advertise it as "hilarious farting lecturer" or something equally inconspicuous). You have to hit them when they absolutely do NOT expect it.
(Of course, having only seen one or two screamers myself, I dunno if this has already been done... ) ____________________ [citation needed] |

Posted by XkeeperThere's no chocolate in Reese's Pieces, just peanut butter and a candy shell. Common mistake. Let's see if I can remember all the good ones: Smarties (I like to let them melt in my mouth) Pixy Stix Reese's Pieces Reese's Peanut Butter Cups Cadbury Mini Eggs (the ones with the sugary shell, not the Whoppers ripoffs) Peanut M&Ms Wild Berry Skittles Tart n' Tinys Sour Belts (blue raspberry is the best) SweetTarts, in a pinch (not quite as fond of them anymore) Any kind of fruity gum (those fruit-shaped gumballs with the candy center are win) Nerds Gobstoppers Colored jawbreakers (the plain white ones are blah) Gummy things (as long as they're made with fruit juice) Most sour things, especially gummy sour things Plain ol' milk chocolate, all shapes and sizes Bite-sized candy bars (those little square ones you get in mixed bags) Spearmint flavored things Almost anything that's red, orange, or purple The bad ones: BLACK LICORICE. Ugh. It smells AND tastes like poison! Tootsie Rolls (gawd, that was all I EVER got at Halloween) Tootsie Roll Pops (basically lose wrapped in fail) Green Apple Pops Candy corn Those pillow-shaped mint things grandmas leave out in bowls year-round Jolly Ranchers (they always stuck to my teeth, and even cut my tongue on occasion!) Red-hot cinnamon flavored things (I like to enjoy my candy, not writhe in burning agony) Semi-sweet or dark chocolate Watermelon-flavored things (I'm awfully glad real watermelon tastes nothing like that) Maple flavored things Coffee flavored things Peppermint flavored things Chocolate-covered fruit (just...barf) Almost anything that's green, yellow, or white (white is always either mint or pina colada ) There are certainly more that I can't remember, but since I can't edit this post, you'll just have to take my word for it. ____________________ [citation needed] |

This is very bizarre.
Your ROMs are not the problem, since you already claimed that they work fine on different computers. The emulators themselves are also obviously not the problem, since you downloaded a fresh copy of SNES9X. Try reinstalling DirectX and your video drivers, maybe? I do believe both SNES9X and ZSNES use DirectDraw to render their video. You might also try disabling sound completely (both emulators have such an option). Basically, try disabling/changing various features until you (hopefully) find the culprit. ____________________ [citation needed] |

I have a prototype Famicom game, Ninja Jajamaru: Ginga Dai Sakusen. It's at least a few months older than the final version, as there are a TON of glitches, and the final boss battle's not implemented yet. The game was almost released over here as "Squashed" (you can read about it at Lost Levels if you'd like). I've dumped and released the ROM, though you'll have to find it yourself.
Other rare/interesting things I have: NES AV Famicom, complete Famicom Disk System Super Mario Bros. 2 (FDS), complete Doki Doki Panic (FDS) Gimmick! (FC) Akumajou Dracula (FC, aka Castlevania III) Legend of the Blob Bros. 2, on a cartridge! Vice: Project DOOM, from NOA's official game library (has tracking label taped to it) The Legend of Zelda, factory-sealed (the rerelease, not the original ) Ms. Pac-Man (Namco), factory-sealed Several FC carts A whole bunch of pirate carts SNES Chrono Trigger (both Japanese and US) Rockman 7 Super Game Boy 2 (Japan only, has a link port), complete Several SFC carts Game Boy Kirby's Block Ball demo cart (complete with "PROPERTY OF NINTENDO" sticker ) Genesis/Sega CD Genesis Nomad Lunar: The Silver Star, complete w/ guide book Sonic CD (Europe, got it for the soundtrack) A few Megadrive games, including Sonic 1 (second revision) and Sonic 2 PSX Lunar: SSS Complete Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete Castlevania: SotN (original release) That's about all I can think of right now... ____________________ [citation needed] |
