No, no, no. Even with custom blocks and ExGFX, the level layouts would still be glitchy and boring. It's entirely possible (albeit difficult nowadays) to make a good hack without those things. It's all about fun level design!

Yesterday, amongst the normal trash on the ground, I saw a candy bar wrapper that had what looked like the Snickers logo, but it said "SATISFIES".
That's...just an ordinary Snickers wrapper. Some of them say "SATISFIES" on the side.

Computer #1: Windows 98 SE (rarely used anymore, now that my Internet apps are all installed on #2)

Computer #2: Windows 2000 SP4 (used to dual-boot 98SE, until it started gagging on my new hardware...decided to nuke it for good during my last upgrade)

Saitek P880. Best USB gamepad I've ever used, though they really need to do something about the clicky buttons. I stopped using my P220 because the buttons were so noisy.

I also have a PSX -> USB adapter, though it seems to be a bit laggy compared to the P880, and thus rarely gets used. Too bad.

ShadowTail: I didn't even know that existed. I took Mario's sprite sheet and altered him into Wario.

Lie to us once, shame on you.

Posted by dirtbag
I’m not trying to rip off anyone else’s work, and I still maintain that I have not seen that sprite sheet before.

Lie to us twice, you're just a douchebag.

...erm, dirtbag.

You could have prevented all of this by simply admitting you borrowed the graphics in the first place. What's so hard about that? Is your ego so big that you can't stand to see someone else's name in your hack's credits?

Considering how screwed up America's public schools are, I have absolutely no problem with home/private education, and applaud those parents who are willing to commit their time and energy to raising their kids right. I went to a small, private Christian school for the first 4 years of my education, and wish my parents could've afforded to keep me there. Middle and high school were probably the worst experiences of my life.

Don't blame me, those were all taken directly from the original page!

(and I do believe it's a bear, the stubby tail gives it away)

(also, whatever you do, do NOT go to www.hampsterdance.com, unless you want to see an old, dead fad's corpse reanimated by the unholy magic of corporate greed)

I'm worried though that by filling out those surveys, you are on a bunch of lists.

Which is PRECISELY why I don't do this crap. I like to keep my personal information personal, thanks.

(and don't tell me "oh, you can just use a free e-mail address and a fake name, blah blah blah," because I'm sure you have to give a real street address if you want to actually get anything)

Most computers with weird brand names on them are probably just assembled from ordinary OEM parts by a local company with that name, especially if it's just printed on a little square sticker.

Does that count?

Bah, that happens all the time where I work. Some customers even buy something else to change the total, while others are like "heheh, cool."

Oddly enough, $7.77 almost never comes up.

My friend got a god damn Classic Controller and 2000 points card from them, that's all the proof I need at least.

So how do they know where to send this stuff if they have a faked address?

I'm not denying that you can get free stuff from these schemes, I'm just worried that a lot of people are basically selling themselves to potentially shady companies for said stuff.

My Athlon 64 X2 4200+ cost me a little over $100. I dunno where you're getting $900, unless you're looking at high-end Opterons or something.

Right now, I think the safest way to get rid of that tile is to either hide it behind your title, or erase the offending smoke tile via ExGFX for that level. I wouldn't go messing with ASM code until we know exactly why/how the sprite shows up when it does.

I love plain large curd cottage cheese. I always have. I like the taste and texture, and it happens to be an excellent source of protein, so it's one of my dietary staples.

Yay! Another cottage cheese fan!

I'm not a huge fan of cheese + fruit, though. I picked the peach slices out of the cups in high school, though the leftover juice did add a nice tangy zip.
