Hello! Well, I'm starting a Mega Man/Rockman 1 hack, so far I've been trying to figure out how to get that blasted "Rock and Roll" editor to work.. but no success. That very "Please select a valid file" message is ticking me off. I've looked for almost every single rom of MM1, (U), (E), and (J).. NONE OF THEM WORK.
Does anyone have any idea how to get this editor working? Please, and thank you. |

Thanks, Zieldak. That did the trick. I just had to do the "Open with.." thingy for the NES rom. Heh, it's exactly like the "Association file with.." you said.
Anyways, been tinkering around with the Rock and Roll program, editing palettes and editing layouts, a bit. Now what bothers me, I use the Sound/Music changing option, and when saving the rom and testing it, no music plays on the Select Screen, even when selecting a boss. Luckily, the music in the stages play and everything. Is it because the rom is bad, or the program's feature messes up something in the Music Data? |

Posted by Crist_93 Whoa! This is looking great! Love Hard Man's stage art, it's supposed to be an underground mine, I see. |

Wowzers, this is great. So gonna play this tomorrow morning (Almost 2:00 AM, too tired, and pretty late). I'm also thinking to do a full playthrough of this.. maybe. :3 |

Hello everyone. I've recently gotten back into a bit of Mega Man hacking and I'm thinking of starting a little project with Mega Man 6. So, I downloaded MegaFLE X and opened my MM6 rom and all of a sudden this annoying little error came up.
Any ideas or solutions on how to solve this? |

Okay, so I installed it, restarted my PC for it to take effect, and when I tried it again, I got the same error as before. Darn. |

Posted by Dracula X That's pretty impressive, Dracula X. Must be more tricky to port a sound engine that's non-Capcom to a Mega Man game. You know, I've been doing a bit of sound engine porting, too! Take a peek, and I recommend watching it on Youtube itself! For those interested, I'm thinking of making a nifty little guide on how to shove Mega Man 2's sound engine to MM3-6. It's really not too complicated, really. |

I've been tinkering around more with MM2's sound engine. This time I ported over every track from MM1's to MM2's, and put every single song & sound effect in the order of Mega Man 3's NSF.
It's all thanks to rock5easily's Rockman 2 NSF Editor which made it possible to extract and rearrange the order of all songs/sfx in a Mega Man 2 NSF. Also, I thank Bisqwit for his Mega Man Sound Disassembly, because it was really useful for porting over the MM1 songs. |

I've been wanting to try out this hack all week. Looks really promising. Unfortunately, RDHN shut down... Could you provide a mirror to the latest version? |
