I use firefox, and right now, I only have a few extensions
-Forecastfox(I don't know why, I never use it)
-FireBug
-Translator

After reading this thread though, I'm thinking of getting some more.

1561. The ways laptops try to replace a mouse, especially that little red circle thingy. I can't get used to them.

I have wacky dreams, but I usually forget them. One very odd one I remember is I'm at the computer doing something, and then suddenly, I'm on one of the roads near my house, going downhill, in the computer chair, and in the clothes I normally sleep in, I briefly actually thought to myself, while in the dream, "What the hell?", and was very embarassed about being in this situation. Then I crashed into something and woke up.

I always thought it was fort-ay, for both the musical definition and the strength one. On the subject of fonts: I like Arial, Georgia, etc. I despise Times New Roman, but I need to use it, my English teachers have always required it, and that doesn't look like it'll change any time soon.

This happened to me last night, and it always annoys me when it happens. I dream I'm playing some awesome new videogame/watching an awesome new anime, and then I wake up, and realise that it doesn't actually exist. I wish I could relive some of those dreams.

At least Dell is starting to use Linux, finally.

1583. Dell. They are evil, suffice it to say they screwed us over royally when we tried to buy a computer from them.

First, they shipped the computer while we were on vacation, despite the fact that we told them we'd be on vacation, and they said they'd hold it, we got UPS to not deliver it though, yay UPS! Then, we get the computer, it's processor, monitor, and graphics card were all below what we had ordered, but we'd been charged for the better ones. When we called them about this, they kept trying to pass us crap offers instead of replacing the computer, my favorite is "We'll give you $50 off a new Dell product!" The computer costs way more than that, idiot. We kept going up levels in Dell's support, probably one a day, we finally got out of their spots in India, and to the HQ, but then, we never got a call from the next guy. And of course, he said (through his secretary) that he called us several times, which he didn't. When we tried to go higher up, we got sent back to the offices in India! We eventually had to send the computer we got back, get a refund, and then buy the computer we wanted all over again, they wouldn't even let us use the discount stuff we used for the first one again. So, yeah. I hate Dell.

1584. Computers that are not put together by the person who will use it most.

I wanted to build the computer, but my parents, funding this as a present to me, thought I'd break the parts, despite the fact I'm much more careful around electronic equipment than they ever are, and wouldn't allow it. I could've done it, but I'm 15, so I must still obey my parents.

Or Alt+F4 (or in the old days, Ctrl+Alt+Delete twice) in any other game or to open the secret hacking menu.

Ah, this reminds me of back when I played Runescape (I no longer play it, got boring very fast) and some guy came up to me and said something along the lines of "U can dupe itms by dropping all ur stuff and pressing Alt+F4" And I responded "No, I can't, Alt+F4 closes the window, so I'd drop my stuff, and you'd take it all when I logged out. I'm not an idiot." He was so surprised that I knew what he was trying to do.

Works fine for me. It's pretty good, the only problem I have so far is the way the metroid just zooms towards you, not more slowly like in the original. And that they don't use music from the original game for the most part, but that may change later. This looks awesome.

Wow, this thing looks evil, I suddenly have an urge to download it, if only to have a taste of the horror myself, and if I can find it, no link to a patch there... As to the program suggestion, I doubt it, I don't think someone would take all the time to write the program just to demonstrate a hack for them.

Yeah, if i were him, I'd use savestates to get farther, the hack is impossible.

Wow, that High School just sucks. Although mine is a bit better rule-wise, there's still the general idiocy among the staff. There are the few teachers that get it, and they're the best teachers to have, but everyone else, is oblivious to most things that go on in class, they fail to realise when many things happen. Like my spanish teacher (I never should've stuck with spanish), there are many talkative people in my class, and she only realizes talking when three certain people start. She even joins in conversations with some of the girls sometimes, and then gets angry when the three guys start talking.

And then, the computers, they are crap, and the comp-sci room actually gets the worst computers, instead of the better ones, whose idea was that? Theres also the fact that, although not nearly as bad as the notepad-virus person, people don't have a clue what to do with computers. My comp-sci teacher, is less proficient with computers than I am. She can teach us programming alright, with the textbook, (I think I remember her saying something about never actually coding java herself), but general computer knowledge? Forget it. And she got really angry at me when I started fixing something that she didn't know how to fix, and wouldn't let me do it, insisting on calling someone down to fix it, while I could have easily done it right then.

I never did see it happen, so I just said.

Did you? Ever see it happen?

Oh, I've seen people fall for it, it kinda made me sad, seeing so many people that stupid. And the funny part is, they then started complaining about how he lied, and it doesn't censor it, and people kept saying their password!

  • The Messenger service (net send, used to spam peoples' desktops with popup messages) was left on for the first 2 years or so, until I fooled around

  • Netsend... We have that too, once, in the middle of Comp-Sci, someone used it to send a message that said "Program Error" to someone else, and he called the teacher over and asked her what was wrong with Java. It was pretty funny actually, especially since the teacher had no idea what it was either, and I had to explain it to her.

What's with all the watermarking? Afraid someone will steal your image of stolen and butchered copyright-protected material?

People have stolen screenshots and claimed them as their own before, I'm not sure why someone would do it, as they have nothing to back it up, but it wouldn't surprise me much. And the hack looks great, since I haven't commented on it yet.

Well crap. PS3s have lost all hope, huh? I was hoping that I wouldn't have to buy a 360, especially becuase of XB Live costs.

    Post List

My first posts were kinda stupid questions, but I was overly polite about them, and tried to use the help file as much as possible. I can't believe I made a "How far are you in demo world" thread. Of course, looking back, I can't believe I spelled everybody wrong either. It seems the majority of my posts were just useless compliments, or questions that weren't that difficult.

Hah, I also seem to have never used a single comma, ironically, I think I overuse them now. XD

Even with the music disabled it runs slower than molasses on my computer. I'm surprised I even got to the Alpha Metroid before quitting. All I have to say so far is that elevators do not belong on SR-388.

There is also another 'remake' project going on by a different author, who has a very different philosophy.

Hmm, maybe it's your graphics driver, this is a Gamemaker game, and I remember that alot of Gamemaker games used to run like crap on my computer, but updating my graphics driver drastically increased speed. Also, I kinda agree on the elevator part, but it's not like it kills the game.
