Brick parts aren't affected by parent-child damage transfer, nor do they transfer any damage to their parent parts, so you could use those. I believe there's also an event action that does the same thing, but I don't remember what it is. You could change the parts' max HP to 1 right before they get destroyed, that'll make them only transfer 1 HP of damage to the parent part. ____________________ |

No, I mean an event to directly turn off the damage transfer. I haven't done anything with Fraxy in a while so I'm not sure if it even exists, though I could've sworn it did... ____________________ |

You don't need to put that in spoiler tags. ____________________ |

Well, you get used to it either way, if you use it for long enough. I used arrow keys for directions, Z=A X=B (A=L S=R GBA) (A=X S=Y D=L C=R SNES) controls, before I got the usb connector for my PS2 controller (definitely prefer using it ). ____________________ |

Posted by Firefox11They've been called "beta" versions ever since after the February release, but technically EVERY release has been beta and will be until he's "finished" coding the game. I guess he just decided to acknowledge this or something. Anyway, ignore the "beta" part of the version strings, it's the yyyymmdd part that counts (ie: "20090204" vs "20091020beta", February 4th of 2009 is earlier than October 20th of 2009 thus it's rather obvious which one is the more current version). ____________________ |

That seems rather complicated, but I suppose it's really customizable this way. Hmm... ____________________ |

You are indeed correct, 2048 will cause 360° shooting. ____________________ |

Instead of changing the visibility of the part and stopping it, just have it change the Max Durability to a rather small number (ie: 1), then the parts will still blow up. ____________________ |

My grandparents had an NES at one time, but it stopped working and has since been lost. I have an SNES with two "sort-of" working 3rd-party controllers (the d-pad is crap on these...). I have an N64 with ? controllers, most/all with barely functional analog sticks (they're so incredibly loose that you have to push it all the way to the edge to get anything to happen, and even then it's spotty). So yeah, I emulate those systems definitely. Plus, it's not really possible to play romhacks on the actual systems anyway (in some cases maybe, but it wouldn't be worth the expense to get the req'd equipment).
@Gywall: Uh, USB controllers... ?_? ____________________ |

Oh, were the destroyable parts also parent parts? That would do it, yeah. ____________________ |

Looks like a 20091024 patch came out while no one was looking.
Also, the Fraxy dl page is all centered now for some reason. Edit: Also, it looks like the next version will feature some modifications to the Try scripting system, and as well the "movement" frame values of the effectors (the values displayed in the editor) will be fixed. ____________________ |

No, Acmlm's site still works fine.
Edit: Worked, now I'm getting 503 too. Huh. Edit2: Acmlm's site is "gone", but Anya's is still there... ____________________ |

CRH: Maybe if you hadn't said "this is what I want for my hack can you add this for me please?!?!" and had actually just stated ideas, he might've actually said something about some of the ideas/requests, more than "...stop asking me to make your hack for you god damn it! ffs..."
CRH's list thing: 1/2) Well, those actually sound sort of useful... 3) Seems rather unimportant >:| 4) ...er 5) Sounds like more trouble than it's worth (ie: only one person (CRH) would ever use it...). 6a) {Ability for normal [?] blocks to hold Tanooki/PWing/etc} - Eh... could be useful at times, but often enough? 6b) {[?] blocks that only hold leaf/flower, not mushroom when small mario} - Well uh, don't make careless mistakes then? 7) {lots of stuff from SMA4} - This is the NES, not the GBA... 8) {SMA4 goomba boot upgrade} - Hrm... dunno what to say about this one 9a) This sounds rather useful actually, but it also sounds like something he would have already thought of. He kinda knows what he's doing, y'know? 9b) uh, dunno what to say about this one either 9c) This sounds like it would be very hard to do, though I'm not a SMB3 hacker so I can't say for sure. 10) "make the game ezier plzzz!!!11" ____________________ |
